Has called 7 times already today - and I have had this number blocked. How dos one report this phone number and get it disconnected??
Caller name: Global Technical Support
We have been getting these calls for the past 2 weeks. I filed a complaint with the FTC, as we are on the do not call list. What was different about our calls was the fact that we have tech support thru Dell and it needed to be extended in March, and this is part of the reason they called along with a security breach. How many of you bought your computers or extended tech support from Dell? I also got fed up yesterday after both our home phone and my cell phone rang at least 5 times each. I called the 800-847-5103 and also screamed at the guy that answered to never call my number again or I would report them to the FTC and they were going to jail. As of 5:30 Tueday I haven't got another call.

Caller name: Emily
Same as Chip's comment above from 19th. Recording of giggly young lady who doesn't "answer" right away, and then comments on headset problems. Says I stayed at one of their resorts before and is entitled to a 75% discount on couple resorts in Florida. I then hung up as have heard this spiel a number of times before via same recording.
Caller name: Blue Star Cruise
Offered a to good to be true cruise for $835 per person to Bahamas. Wouldn't take no for an answer. Spoke to three people trying to get me to send money today. I finally hung up in the middle of their rant.
Caller name: Joe
Starts out saying his name was Joe and he was calling on a recorded line. Then he asks "Can you hear me?" Heard a warning awhile back about this scam that ends up with charges on your phone bill or credit card so we just hung up on him.
Caller name: Market Research Company
called this number back and go this 800-973-7470. They are not selling anything just doing a research study. If you don't want to partake all you need to tell them is to remove you from their list. Since they are a market research company they don't follow the same guidelines as a telemarketer so if you are on the do not call list it does not except you from these types of calls.
Caller name: Windows tech
Caller said that I would have to give them the numbers off of my computer as my e-mail was "leaking information" that they needed to stop. I told them the Police had warned us about them and that I was contacting the FBI and the scammer hung up!
Caller name: Little Rock AR
This is definitely the scam where they try to record you saying things in the affirmative such as "yes". They will use the recording for all kinds of fraudulent activities. Essentially an identity theft scam.
Home improvement company. Called them back from a third party phone and told them to put me on do not call. One of their reps called me 11 times in 3 days. They do not leave messages and apparently don't actually remove you from their call list when you tell them to.
Caller name: David, US Grant Department
THIS IS A SCAMMER! The first time he called, I didn't answer. I called the number back and it is not in service. The second time, I answered and immediately told him to stop calling me and he said (in a heavy Indian accent and not so great English, so I think this scammer resides abroad, as has become common) "we will keep calling and calling. This is the government and you will keep hearing from me and I will keep calling and calling" and hung up before I could get another word in. Then, he called again an hour later, and I played along a bit to see what this scam was so I could properly report it. He said that I would be getting free grant money and I wouldn't have to pay anything, he just needed my mailing address, and then HE READ MY ADDRESS TO ME, asking if that was the correct one. I was quite shocked and scared that he had my address, so I said that I did not live at that address, and started to tell him a new (albeit fake) address. I then asked questions regarding who he worked for, why I would get this money, where it was coming from, why he needs my information, how he got my information, etc. He kept stumbling saying the same thing "uh, this is grant money....you will get it in 3-4 working days.... it's free money....". And then he hung up on me rather abruptly. I have blocked the number, and will be reporting this.
Caller name: ARG
Received call with the following message:
"Hello my name is Jeana and I'm calling from the Claim Department in regards to an entry form we have here that you guys apparently submitted a while back. It could've been done as far back as 12 to 18 months ago and it was filled out for a chance to win a brand-new automobile or $25,000 in cash in lou of our company's annual giveaway. Now we did have entries all over where you can simply sign yourself up to win and they did choose yours as one of our finalist, so congratulations. As a finalist this would guarantee you one of the top three gifts in the contest, if not the car. So I strongly advise you to contact me here and I can give you all the details. My number is toll free so that's 877-904-7581. I can assure you this is not a sales call so hope to hear from you soon. So again that number is 877-904-7581."
First they called with just mouth breathing and then hung up and called right back with a blocked number (I'm assuming they realized and called back but IDK) Then whoever called knew my name and and started saying they wanted to do sexually explicit things to me. It was very creepy.
Caller name: Marriott Hotels
Automated call claiming to be Marriott Hotels ... "Congratulations, your phone number has been randomly selected as the winner of a free 1-night stay at a 5 star Marriott Hotel. For details, press "1" now."
HANG UP. THIS IS A SCAM AND THEY MAY USE YOUR NUMBER TO SCAM OTHERS.
Caller name: Time2GetAway
I purchased a 4 day 3 night stay and recieved dinners and bonus vacations. I stayed at the SLS very nice hotel. I actually enjoyed the travel show and purchased the product. Very informative if you love to travel. Highly recommend this company for promotional vacations not anything like timeshare.
Called three times. First was silent. Second had heavy breathing for a few seconds. Third he actually started talking, saying the government had a grant for me and that I wouldn't have to provide personal information, but then started asking about my level of education and how I would have to qualify. I checked this site after the second call so I told him I wasn't interested and to take me off the call list. He hung up after the second time I said that.
Caller name: Unidentified.
They call day and night! A "robot" leaves a message stating that they installed security software in my computer/s last year . . . they are calling because there has been a breach and I am at risk. Gives phone number to return call at 800-847-5103.
This was a call from a marketer selling some trading education package. I don't remember the name of the company, but I never signed up for any information from this company nor have I provided my phone number to them. I am on a do not call list so I do not give out my phone number, but it is listed in the phone book. They guy had a foreign accent and I told him I wasn't interested and did not request any information. I also told him I was on a do not call list, but he still wouldn't stop. I finally just hung up on him. So far he has called me back 5 times and keeps harassing me about his program and each time I keep hanging up on him. He will not stop. He is just going to keep harassing me until I break down and buy his program.
Caller name: St Mary's Church
Text stated that I can get free car seats, Everybody in my contacts got the same text, I know that its Mykeytia Ashley, & her family/friends sending text, further more my family/friends don't need Hand Outs
I start receiving calls from this number at 8:30am all the way up to and sometimes past 9:00pm. They never leave a message. When I happen to answer the phone, there is never anyone on the other end. This happens every day. Other searches indicate that the calls come from Alabama and that it is the NRA.
I was told he was with the "Network Security Department" and that my network is being hacked and they need me to help them figure out who is attacking my network. When I told him my husband and I are in the IT business and ensure we are very secure no matter if we are at home, work or in public and asked HIM for some information to verify who HE was with to make sure it wasn't HIM wanting to hack my system.....he hung up. figures.
Saying "you guys must have submitted an entry in our sweepstakes to win a car or two other prizes. You are definitely one of the ones chosen...."
I see others listed on internet as haven gotten this same call...we cant all be winners...
They try to sound super friendly, but juvenile and unprofessional, "you guys" and say they aren't a scam.
They say that they are facebook technical support... The number is the first number that pops up when you google a phone number for tech support for facebook.... They told me that I he to pay a onetime fee do tech support I told him that I was not goin to pay anything and they hung up???
Caller name: not known

Caller name: Treasury Department
This is the second time this number has left me a minute long voicemail stating that I have a lawsuit filed against me for tax fraud. They tell me to call their number immediately but I haven't done so.
Caller name: Unknown construction co
On 6th call he was advised that he would be reported to atty general if he called ag. When asked if he understood, he stated that he did. I do not expect this person to call again.
I think they fucked up and didn't hang up soon enough they left a message talking about people not answering and people trying to call them back and stuff and someone let out a gasp like they realized it was leaving a message on my phone and hung up... idiots...
Received a call from this number. Real person on the other end and said my computer generated a malicious report. I asked him how he got this number and which computer is he talking about. He said he got my number through a survey and that this is regarding a microsoft windows OS.
I told him you have the wrong number and the wrong person.
Sounded like a scam to me!
its a scam...microsoft windows don't call their customers letting them know that you have a virus or your going to be hacked
Caller name: Marriot Rewards
This number robot calls me ever day between 3:30 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. There have been news reports about scammers in the DC area claiming to represent Marriot and offering a free night stay at a Marriott hotel or resort.
Non stop calling. I answer the first time and hung up cause I knew it was a scam. Then after the 10th unknown call I answered and said it was the wrong number and they said oh and I hung up. Haven't had anymore phone calls so far from unknown numbers
Caller name: Lawyer for National Credit Agency
These people will tell you they are filing criminal charges since you didn't pay back a loan. FYI private lawyers cannot file criminal charges only the district attorney can do that. They will call from other numbers claiming they are going to serve your papers. Another FYI no one is going to warn you they are serving papers because then you could duck out on them. Do NOT send these people money or give them the time of day. If you do get scammed, I suggest reporting to the Federal Trade Commission who handles these scams now.
The guy called me and was very rude. I told him that he reached a business number and to take us off the call list. He wanted to know what city I lived in and on what street? I told him I could tell that he was a telemarketer and that I would not tell him my address. He told me that he could tell I was at a house because of the background noise. He started yelling at me, so I hung up. What is wrong with people? I have a right to ask to be taken off the call list and not be bullied about the request.
