I have continually asked to be removed from any call list and these people do not listen. The last message they left was so mumbled I did not understand it. They need to stop calling
Said I was approved for loan
When I called back it as well went straight to an automated message, "you will be removed from this call list within 24 hours."
To sell something to lower electric bills.
hey now!!!.....horse tooth jack a*s
I donot want this person calling me again 224-255-2509
This number calls me over and over and it uses my minutes on my phone even if I don't answer
I decided to have a little fun with these clowns. I called them back and got Oscar Abbott. Deep accent so I doubt his name is Oscar. I kept them on the phone for a good 10 minutes listening to their bs and giving them false information such as company name, me, my credit card info, you could imagine how excited he was getting. I then interrupted him and told him he was a scammer and that I was just spending time on the phone with him so he couldn't bother someone else. I got a chuckle and he got extremely upset. I can now go about my day knowing I saved someone else the aggravation of having to listen to his c**p.
Revived the same phony call from this number. They need to be investigated immediately.
I am on the DO NOT Call List......Please stop or you will be reported..........Consider this........You have been warned....!!!!!!!
No idea what they wanted as it only rang once and NO voice mail. Apparently from what I've seen that others have posted about the number in question is that they are trying to scam you into buying something? Jokes on them though since my warrenties are through the dealership and not third-party.
Just says it's coming from IA, USA
Keeps calling morning, noon, and night
Says IRS is filing a lawsuit against me, to call this number immediately. Bogus call.
They were inquiring about my SS# and I refused to give it and they hung up on me.
An "english as a second language" person from a "financial company" wanting to speak to the business owner.
They were calling every few days, but I have received two calls from this number as of 1:30 PM.
Place this "company" on block and place a complaint with FCC and the FTC (seeing that they claim they're a company)
They have found your number via internet, Scam Cold/Hot Lists, Do Not Call Registry (which does sell out numbers that do not want to be called and they still call you, btw) and other places you probably didn't even think twice about placing your number, like Facebook or other social media.
Just place this number in a "DNA-Blocked" list, set the ringtone to be 'silent' no vibration - find a ringtone online and don't answer it if you happen to see when they call.
If they call your home landline (if you still use one) also contact the FCC AND the FTC - just to cover all bases. Contact the business you get your landline service from and report them there. Sometimes they are willing to change your number for free; same for cellphones; if you sound upset enough.
I changed phones with my husband, so I got his number. He is a person that believes in anything, so because of this, I get call after call because his number is on a hot sheet for a once or twice positive hit... He freaks out when I scream at them telling them to f*ck off. ...once he said; "well why'd you do that?! if we gave them our bank information, we could of gotten that $100 gift card for free!" ...Oh for f*cks sakes.
Called 07/29/2015 at 10:12 a.m. PST.
Left no message .
Nomorobo shut it down after first ring.
On the phone they call themselves "Magazines Direct", but on my statements their name is Magazine Club LLC. They only tape a short portion of your phone call that suits their needs NOT the whole phone conversation: the part where you are completely beaten down and finally say yes to some "terms". Then when they want your "real" confirmation they speed through a different set of terms. Although you ask them to repeat themselves and slow down so you can understand what they are saying they do not. They just start from the beginning where they're explaining what the company is and then they speed through your actual terms.
Honestly, I signed up for a different service through what I thought was a different company roughly 2 years ago and later when I cancelled, they said they were going to send me free magazines and skipped over the part where I was going to get locked into these magazines. Because they already had my credit card information from the other service they start charging me for these magazines. Saying I agreed to receive these magazines and nobody said anything about free, even though THEY did. I've been paying them copious amounts of money MULTIPLE times a month and can't get them to refund me anything or cancel the subscriptions. I've called them but this number that they're connected to doesn't go to a real person and you can't find them through any internet searches (888-670-1426). The only time I've talked to them to complain is when they call me asking me to change my terms and I fell for it the first time; they said they couldn't cancel my contract (no matter how much I asked nicely and not nicely) but that they would give me a big reduction on my total for the remaining months which somehow jumped from 12 to 24 months. The second time they called the "customer service" (if you can even call them that) representative said they didn't reduce my over all total they just reduced my monthly payment. Again I asked to cancel and the woman connected me to someone else who just tried to sell me on a different product. The third time they called they played back a bogus recording of me just saying my name and that I agree, but to what, I have no idea. So, I can't get a straight answer from ANYBODY on how much I have left for these stupid magazines half of which come to my house and the other half I have sent to the troops. The sad part is, I don't even think they're getting them.
Their business model is terrible. Their business in general is a complete scam. They prey on any person who answers their phone. They need to refund every person who's complained about them, give their employees severance packages and close their doors.
A woman first called stating I was going to be arrested at my home TODAY and that they'll "see me at the courthouse" ....I called back and got a voice mail that I could barely understand. I left a brief message and sure enough this idiot "John Marsh" called me back stating that he deals with the ENTIRE UNITED STATES and to call him back or else I'll be arrested TODAY at my place of work. (I don't work) ....I Googled the phone number and found this site. These people can go right to h**l!
Receive a call from this number two to three times a week! Sick of it...no way to get rid of them!
They were calling about taking online courses.
They were calling -selling health insurance.
Called from "Windows" asking if I was having problems with my computer.
This person said he was an Federal Officer and that for me not to interrupt while he read a statement. He then proceeded to say I owed the IRS $1,989 and that in a short while an officer would be arriving to put me in handcuffs and be detained for the next 72 hours and did I understand...(oh and by the way I was being recorded). I then went online and found that these folks were scamming people. I then told him that this was a scammer number...and he hung up immediately.
This company keeps calling me, I have asked them to stop but they keep calling.
What a joke, what's up Canada? Please get a handle on your Knuckleheads.
I do not want to buy their c**p and have no idea how they obtained my number.
He said I won 3.5 million Clearing house..
When I replied this sounded like a phishing phone call and was against the law, he said:
"F@#k you, get off my phone"!!!!
They went as far as getting into my online banking account, therefor causing my bank to close my account and re-issue me a new one.
had to ask 3 times for the guy to repeat who he was calling from and what his name was. Pretty sure it was a bogus call before I picked up, but when I asked him his name, again he was unintelligble so I ask, can you spell that for me?
Y-a-s-i-r.... and click.
hung up on me! Guess he didn't like his own brand of t**d.
Had this phone number call me just a couple of minutes ago (11:57 am on 7/29/15). I didn't recognize it so I didn't pick up. It's obviously a scammer from these previous reports.
They we asking about who pays the CL&P electric bill.
It was an Old Lady asking me ti bring her tissue and tell her a joke cause she hasn't had anyone since her husband died
Ask for "the person responsible for this computer chip", then he asked if I was near a computer. I told him I think he's a scammer, to take my number out of there system and not to call me again.
Number added to reject call list. It's irritating for solictors to get our numbers and pretend to be someting they are not.
They was trying to say I asked them to call me from the Internet, which that is totally un true , just a new way for them to pester people.
They was no way to be removed from call list
They wanted us to improve our web site.
I get a call from 979-245-2079 it seems at least once a week. The caller ID says Unknown Name. I've never answered the call. It rings four to six times and stops just before my answering service kicks in. If it were at all possible, I'd gladly tie callers such as these to a tree and horse-whip them until the bones are exposed.
I received a call to call another number like others. Is this a scam or something legit?
They wanted to sell me a device I could use to call for help if I fell down.
They wanted to help me lower my interest, yet never identified which card.
Robocall, then called back on another number. "Tammy" answered, and offered to lower my auto insurance rate. She said she was calling on behalf of Allstate and Nationwide because I recently requested a quote.
This is the 3rd time they have called. It is a recorded call where a name is inserted as well as a case number. The person named has my last name but not a first name of anyone in my family. The first two times they claimed they were representing someone who was suing me. This last time the caller identified herself as an investigator for the Thompson Group. She claimed that I would be found guilty if I do not show up, but that if I wanted representation to press any key and I would be connected to someone who could help.
Had message that IRS was sueing me. I called the number back. I mentioned the IRS usually will mail a letter. He said they tried to deliver 2 times and no one was home. I said not true. I lost my job 3 months ago and was home everyday. He hung up on me. SCAM
They wanted to do a cost comparison on credit cards.
calls and hangs up when a man answers trying to get a hold of an elderly lady to scam her.
Whoever it was that called probably looks at this website. So here's my response. Your mother's a bulldagger and your father's a f****t. Get a job!
I love my cordless phone with 500 number block. After an unwanted call (don't answer just punch the number into google to confirm x*x-x*x-xxxx that they are unwanted) I hit SAVE > CALL BLOCK > SAVE.... done.
Now I get a half ring, and I can laugh and laugh and laugh at the fact that they will never get a hold of me unless I unblock them just to F with them.
MUAH AH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Sometimes when I answer known violators, I answer with an Indian Accent and pretend that I am calling them from Microsoft because their "computer is sending p**n to elementary school children in Iowa and we must resolve this problem right away!!!!"... the last part sounds really good with my fake indian accent.
Rec'd vm from 703-879-7147, said from Dept of Treasurury and have a copy of Affidavit for Tax Evasion, call back immediately, don't delay and don't discard message, before it gets worse and the Sheriff's Dept comes out. Called and left 3 voice mails! Could not speak English well. Total Scam!! Saved the voice mail messages too.
They wanted my account number.
I listed this as a scammer/fraudster because I believe that is what these people are.
Received two calls today and the second time they left a voicemail. It was from "Bill Russell, Prize Director". He had called from a different number, which is listed in IL: +1-773-305-7635.
I called the 1-855 number left on the voicemail and heard a pre-recorded female voice telling me she was the Assistant to the Prize Director, Bill Russell. The arrogance and grandiosity alone was enough for me to hang up. Since done research online and found several places where people have reported similar experience.
I've never participated in a prize draw but I just recent purchased two new Ford vehicles, so I wondered if maybe one of the two Dealership had entered me into a draw I did not know about. Of course not!
Here’s a brief overview of how the original voicemail went, see if you can spot the lies:
1. “I am your Prize Director. I am calling in regards to a form you submitted, either online or at a shopping mall.” UPDATE: that covers almost everywhere a consumer goes nowadays.
2. “…and it was to win a BRAND NEW 2015 Ford Explorer vehicle, or one of three more prizes UPDATE: Oh, so it could just be a $25 Wal-Mart gift card instead?
3. “This contest is now OFFICALLY OVER and your ticket entry has been selected as a winner, CONGRATULATIONS!”. UPDATE: Oh my God, am I the luckiest guy alive? BTW: his voice sounds so nerdy and fake, it’s really hard listening to the rest of his message without cringing.
4. “We have sent some documents out to your home address, in the mail, but we did not receive a response back. This will be our final attempt.”
5. “This is NOT a sales or solicitation call, this is definitely something you have won. What you will need to do is give us a call back as soon as possible…I looks forward to speaking with you, thank you and CONGRATULATIONS”. UPDATE: In the UK where I come from, we call this a load of Bollocks (US: translation: Bull S***.).
If anyone ever meets this guy in the flesh, please slap his face for me? On second thoughts, don’t bother, it probably looks like a slapped arse, anyway, judging by the slimy voicemail he left.
STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SANITY.
Called and in a India accent said there was an issue with not paying enough money to the IRS and there will be a warrant for my arrest within 45 min and when I asked him who he was he said Daniel Cruz and I asked him to spell his name and he said he wouldn't and to have a nice day
Yesterday, i had received a phone number from a lady speaking in spanish, so i asked her if she was looking for someone particular or just making phone calls? (since i dont have anyone speaking spanish in my house) so she hang up.
Received two calls now, both unknown caller. Called last night at 3pm and today at 10. No messages left yesterday. 2nd time lady said her name and it's a recorded line then nothing on my voicemail. If you can't leave a message don't call me then.
I keep getting a call from biscom at 1-978-250-1800 and there's a beeping tone. I keep getting the call over and over again... Very annoying.
This number called me and some how has some of my information. I didn't subscribe or anything to this and this is definitely not something helpful but a scam
They wanted me to press 1 to get the supplies delivered.
These idiots keep calling and calling and calling, I have told them I'm not the owner, I've said the owner is away, I've told them we live in a new house, I've asked for them to stop calling and STILL THEY CALL!!!!! When I call their number it rings busy!!!!!! Very frustrating. I think I will start making appointments at bogus addresses and start wasting their time.
called me two days in a row with no voicemail
DO NOT ANSWER!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS! DO NOT BELIEVE THEM !
USA Address:-Corporate Office, 12140 Artesia Blvd. Suite # 204, Artesia CA 90701. Contact No. :- 1-844-456-2714. Email :- email@example.com ..
This is the same company that uses a pop up window on your browser advising you that you need to call 888-994-4480 if you want to remove a threat to your computer. Once you call, they explain that they are a certified Microsoft Support company and they will help you to get rid of the virus "that prompted the pop-up" if you share the screen with them. They will also charge for it. This has started to pop-p as of yesterday, 7/28/15. Comcast has a warning about the 888 number but not yet for the 844-456-2714 number.
They have called my phone numerous times a day. So I called back and they said they want to offer me 'Medical Compensation' for a surgery that I had. I've never had surgery in my life and told them to remove my number from their calling list. I also asked to speak with a Supervisor and they say he is busy right now and that they can help me. I refused cursed them out and said I Wil be reporting you to the BBB and hung up.
He said this call was regarding the CRA.
They wanted me to give them control of my pc
They wanted information for delivery.
They wanted access to our computers to fix the problem.
They wanted a shipping address for a prepaid "Medical Alert" only I didn't order any such thing.
calls several times a day, will leave automated message stating IRS has filed a lawsuit. If you call back a woman answers and all she will tell you is that she needs your lawyer's information as the IRS has filed a lawsuit. When you say you know nothing about this and ask to be transferred to someone who can give you further information she hangs up.
I'm on a no-call list. This is the 6th call from this phone number. No message was left on the answering machine/just a hang-up. Caller ID identified this call as Huntingdon, PA - 814-251-8444 having been received on 7/29/2015 at 11:56 AM. Now, how can this "NOT" be harassment??
Left two messages on my home phone in Florida stating that the IRS was filing suit against me and requesting that I call them back. This happened last year too. I don't know if it is same outfit, but these people call home phones in Florida, hoping to scam the elderly. The IRS does not leave phone messages on one's answering machine. My advice is to NEVER call back and report it.
