Numbers with this prefix were first introduced in 2011.
While 9542788356 was originally issued with the info above, the owner of the phone number (954) 278-8356 may have transferred it through a process called porting.Caller name: Rachel
Caller type: Telemarketer
Automated system called 3 times. Says to press 3 to be removed. I pressed 3 twice and they kept calling. So I pressed 1 to complain to a live person. The live person was rude and lied multiple times. "I did not call yo at all today." OK, fine, your system called me. I told her I pressed 3 to be removed and it didn't work. She says "Yes, that doesn't work." I said the system says it would. She says "Did it work for you?" Awful awful organization.
Caller name: Card Sevices
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
Don't you believe it!! They are scammers and want nothing more than to steal your identity. The tell you they can reduce your APR to a ridiculously low rate something like 0.9% but you have to pay them around $600.00 to do so. They will ask for your name, address, SS# card # & expiration date. If this were through your card company, they'd already have that information. Call your own credit card company and ask for a lower rate, if they won't give you one, move to a different card company.
Caller name: Credit Card Services
Caller type: Telemarketer
Come on Washington DC. We've got more than 500 representatives down there. Can't just ONE of them put a bill through that will put these idiots out of business for good? We need some action! Just one of you submit and get a bill passed that will once and for all solve this and you'll be a hero forever!
Caller name: Bitch
Caller type: Telemarketer
I have continuously received messages from them and ignored them. I finally picked up and hit 3 on two occasions to get off the list. I finally picked up and hit 1 to talk to a person tonight. She immediately began swearing and cursing me OUT!!! I engaged for several minutes because I was so stunned!! WTF? TRIED TO CALL FCC AND MY PHONE COMPANY, but of course, no live people. ugh Is there any chance this phone conversation is recorded somewhere??? I'd love to testify against these losers...
Caller name: Credit Card Services
Caller type: Telemarketer
When I get these calls, I simply hit the speaker button and say nothing. The minute I hear a voice, I hit the speaker button again and they are disconnected and gone. I want them to pay for the call that goes nowhere. Engaging these clowns in a conversation is not worth it. And they don't seem to be in a hurry to call back either.
Caller name: Interest lowered
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
This number does answer with "This is a telemarketer" so the number at this point is not spoofed. They do ask you for your social security number to verify it with their system. They do ask you for credit card numbers and expiration dates. I played along with them and gave them bogus information to see how much they would try and get. When they realized I was on to them the heavy accented woman,..(sounded like she was from India) ,..accused me of having an incestuous relationship with my mother and then hung up. When are the authorities going to go after these thief's!
Caller name: "Rose"
Caller type: Unknown
A woman named "Rose" used this number to call me to talk about a "job" opportunity. I told her I had accepted a position already and I was off the market. She thanked me for my time and hung up. I'm surprised to see this number used for so many different telemarketing purposes. Be careful using even reputable job search engines.
Caller name: CARD SERVICES
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
Same old recording that used to give the name of "Amy." Now 'she' doesn't give a name. Notice how 'she' says "there are no problems with your current credit card accounts." That is to keep you from calling your credit card companies, who will alert you that this is a scam. So of course 'she' doesn't want them involved. The current offering. according to 'her' is an interest rate of 6.9%; 'she' used to say something like 3.1%. This is likely a SPOOFED NUMBER, as this same recording comes from many spoofed numbers. Notice 'she' gives a legitimate TOLLFREE NUMBER to call back to. That way they don't get in trouble for using a spoofed number, which is ILLEGAL. Other times no tollfree number is given, (which is tr
traceable). 'She' just asks you to press a certain number on your phone pad to speak to a representative. DON'T FALL FOR THIS! THEY WANT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO SO THEY CAN COMMIT FRAUD.
Caller: THE SWINDLERS
Caller name: Card Holder Services
Caller type: Telemarketer
I have a cell phone that is also on the "do not call" list and I still get calls from "Rachel" at Card Holder Services from this number, also 702-509-4875, and 609-227-4849. I get several per month and sometimes several per week or day. I try to talk to an operator and they hang up as soon as I ask what I can do to get off their list. If you call back you get a recording that says "if you wish to be taken off their list, enter your phone # now". It doesnt help.
Caller name: Rachel
Caller type: Telemarketer
I get the same call 2-3 times a day. I cannot get them to stop. I called my credit card company and they said the call has nothing to do with them. Please make them stop calling me!
Caller name: Card Services
Caller type: Telemarketer
Useless caller selling c**p I don't need or want. I strenuously suggested they swiftly perform an anatomlcally impossible act of vigorous lethal self-immolation ... then hang up & die.
Caller name: Card Services
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
First, if you did not initiate the call DO NOT SHARE ANY PERSONAL INFO WITH THEM...
She may sound polite and sweet, but I bet once she has you personal info and access to your credit/bank info, she wont even say thank you...
Caller name: Card Services
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
Another of those robotic calls offering a "last chance" to lower interest rates on credit cards. (Since there were two messages on my answering machine today, apparently the first one wasn't an actual last chance.) Prefaced with "there is currently no problem with your account" to make it sound more legitimate. Of course, all you'll have to do is give them your entire credit card number and your social security number and anything else you're willing to give them so they can steal your identity.
If in doubt, call your credit card company and ask them if anyone tried to contact you. The answer is likely going to be no, but they will have a record if it was a legitimate call from them.
Caller name: Card Services
Caller type: Unknown
I suspect that they have connection to all of credit cards companies because I got call after the first time I did not pay full of amount on my one of credit cards. I can manage my account and leave me alone. Since Aug. 8, they call me almost every single day. It is so annoying!
Caller type: Telemarketer
I have been called several times from this number, I decided to call back today and they robo-answered saying to press 1 and then punch in your number if you want to be on their "do not call list within 72 hours, so, I did~ Time will tell if it worked, or not.
Caller name: Foreign Scammer
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
These losers pretend to have a way to help you lower your credit card rate. Funny thing is, they are with NO bank and they call people who don't even have a single credit card.
They have no care about our laws, as they aren't even located in our country. Moreover, they are rude, ignorant, worthless identity thieves. Who would be so stupid as to give their social security number and credit card number to an unidentified person who randomly calls them? WAKE UP PEOPLE---TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!

We need CRIMINAL penalties against the companies that are profiting from these calls. Follow the money, slap them in jail, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem solved.
Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.
These calls are coming from call centers in Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false) numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay. Another course of action is to contact phone companies to find out why they won't block spoofed numbers. With today's technology that should be an easy thing to do, unless they are somehow profiting from the use of their systems.
Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.

If enough people keep complaining then maybe something will get done.
The FTC has already taken action against some of them:

I have received several calls and I did picked up one. I actually spoke to a nice person (Grace?). She stated that this service is of no charge and everyone already has this service if they have a credit card. They act as a consumer advocate type of group on credit card issues. According to the person, they are not a debt collector or a debt resolution. They simply are there to help consumers get lower rates on their credit cards. They also don't pull your credit on the initial call but I believe once you speak to their financial advisor they may.
I also inquired about some offers that are offering 36.9% interest rate credit cards and she said this was illegal. The maximum according to regulation is 30%.
I don't know if these answers are ligitmate.

How can I help stop stimulus package, lower interest rate calls that have been coming in for years? When I politely as possible request to be removed from their list, and remind them that it is illegal to call the reply is consistently rude, and my anger grows. Today's response was "I don't even know who you are. Don't answer the phone. That's what I do." Anger breeds anger and I know you all share my pain. That is a lot of anger breeding in our world that is just not necessary.

7/30/12 3pm. No Msg. I get three to four random calls per week from various area codes and numbers. Suspect they are scammers attempting to get personal information. I keep a close eye on my credit card and have NO problems with credit. Robo calling should be against the law.
