Received Robocall from Studentcare.org. The woman claimed to file for a loan forgiveness program available in my state. I asked how her company got paid for their services. She said they charged a fee of $349 in installments. She says they have a B rating from BBB because they don't want to pay for an A rating. That was a tipoff. You have to be bad in order to get anything but an A rating.

Yea. This KPA Group is a scam. I stupidly fell for this. They told me that I qualify for Obama student loan forgiveness and apparently there is no such thing. I already paid about 300 bucks for "processing fees". These fees sent me a former and then later a quote to pay twice what I owe.

KPA Student Loan group calling and saying they can get my loans forgiven. Said they would charge a one-time fee of $549 for enrollment to fill out forms and submit to government. They didn't really say how they help to get loans forgiven.

Clearly a scam and will be filing a complaint with the goverment and BBB.

These people called today. Girl kept me on the phone for some time, asking what sounded like legitimate questions. THANKFULLY I had NOT given her any information other than my first name. First RED FLAG was when she told me that if I was on an income based repayment (IRB) program for my loan (my current income is 0 so I pay 0) it would affect my credit score. I KNEW THIS WAS NOT ACCURATE. So glad I had an emergency and asked her to call back - gave me a chance to check this number out. THIS IS SO VERY WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS! SHAME SHAME SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE! DO NOT FALL FOR IT. She called again just now and I let it ring. USE YOUR CALLER ID PEOPLE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE SCUMBAGS!

I am out $549 and think of myself as a fairly intelligent person. However, with $24,000 in student loans that are gaining interest rapidly while I am on an income based repayment plan, I believed that they could be eliminated with the help of the KPA Group. Turns out they aren't being eliminated. They are still there, gaining the same interest, I need to reapply every year, and will pay according to my income. In 25 years, if I have a remaining balance it will be forgiven. I will be 65. I will continue to review them and see if I find broken laws or just me being dumb.

Repeatedly calls every few weeks. I typically do not answer calls I don't recognize as for the various reasons seen above. Upon investigation it seems my hesitancy is well-founded. It will be declined.

This person called and said that she represented a student loan company. She asked for my student loan information including PIN number in order to see if I qualified for their program. I gave up this info and was later persuaded to sign up with her company and enter a program that would delay my payments for 90 days before making an agreed upon payment. I foolishly signed all documents and even gave them my credit card info to take the processing fee of $549! Meanwhile my aporovided loan servicing company wrote and told me to apply for another forebearance the day after ie today! So confused! I thought that they had handed my account over to this company called KPA. Now I will have to cancel my credit card and sign up for credit monitoring services! Let's all do a class action suit and go after these b******s!

I also I received a call today from an unknown number with automated message that said if you have student loans you may qualify for forgiveness programs dial 1 and someone will call you back.

Likewise a "Tiffany Jones" called back from (951)707-4216 but provided this as a call back number (844) 336-9990 Ext. 803.

She asked for my name and social security number and FASFA PIN number.

Unless and until someone prosecutes these illicit callers they will continue to hastle honest people only to deprive them of their small assets - NO WAY was I going to send this person anything let alone private info...

I doubt seriously if this site does anything except - gather info to send to NEW SCAMMERS as to how to AVOID being shut down!! These are probably affiliated..

Caller name: "KPA Group"

This company illicitly robocalled my cell phone from Texas area code (214) 907-2653 soliciting student loan assistance. A short time later a live agent "Tiffany" called from an area code in Corona, CA soliciting a student loan forgiveness program. I informed "Tiffany" that their robocall was illegal and that I routinely sue telemarketers who call my number which has been registered at DoNotCall.gov for many years. She, of course, hung up.

My advice: Keep a log of telemarketers who call you. Get recordings if possible. Then sue the b******s. Each illegal call can be worth up to $500.00. You can sue them in your local municipal small claims court....you don't need to make a "federal case" of it. Be brave and stand up to these a******s.

Same pattern as mentioned above. First they illegally Robocall from a blocked number. (I agreed to whatever I needed to agree to for prosecuting this thing). Then at the end they say someone will be in touch within 1-2 days.

Well, minutes later I get a call from an unblocked number in my same area code. I pick up but there isn't anyone at the end of the line. So far I've received about 20 calls from this same CID. I stopped picking up as nobody ever is at the end of the line, but luckily I finally received a short voicemail from a person at that company that will go nameless here, and it's about "student loans." Since I don't have any student loans and have never encountered any previous calls regarding them, I think it can be safely surmised that both calls came from the same criminals.

So far I have tracked this down to the "KPA Group" which operates a website at www.studentcare.org" where they show a lot more of their information. Between the AG of California and Florida I think it's safe to say that something can be done about this company pulling this stunt. And I'm willing to travel to Lakeland, FLA to pickup my $500 (or will it be $1,500 due to trebling?).

Since it appears I'm not alone, perhaps a class action is worth pursuing here. Please post here if KPA Group robocalled you too.

I received a call today first, from an unknown number with automated message that said if you have student loans you may qualify for forgiveness programs dial 1 and someone will call you back.
"Tiffany Jones" called back from (951)707-4216 but provided this as a call back number (844) 336-9990 Ext. 803.
She asked for my name and social security number and FASFA PIN number. I stupidly provided these to her and she said you qualify for the the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness program adding that a fee of $300 needed to be paid for document processing fees. I did not pay the money but now I'm afraid I gave this person all this information and it turned out to be a scam.
