Caller type: Telemarketer
How do we stop this kind of harassment? Phone companies will now tell you to contact the police department....how ridiculous is that? Ever since deregulation, the phone companies have thrown up their hands and created a wild west environment on the communications system....it is time to bring back full regulation of utilities including the phone companies.
Caller type: Survey
Asked to complete survey to win a Bahama Cruise. Did not ask me for any personal information. When I finished with the survey was told to press 1 to have a reservation specialist call me back from 407 Resort Travel. I did but then I was disconnected.
One of the questions (which was asked twice) would I be interested in any of the programs offered through Pres Obama as far as debt relief were concerned . I answered no both times. Maybe thats the catch If you are interested in debt consolidation, then they would could you back.
Caller type: Unknown
I don't know anyone in Rsleigh. Based on multiple complaints list above this is likely an identity theft scam. Suggest reporting this number to your state attorney generals office. Contact the phone carrier that allows this illegal activity to continue. Consider class action litigation afainst the originators of this scam AND the phone carrier
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
Just like the others, called and did not leave a message. Probably like many of you, I get these all the time from the scam numbers all over the country (this one supposedly from Raleigh, NC).

If you have no prior business with the Telemarketer, They have no business calling you in my state.
Learn to back track your numbers.. Know most of the scam or telemarketing calls are from call centers by regular people not all that good at hiding where they are calling from. Also know that some call centers use and exchange where they rent a number near you to spoof you into thinking you are getting a local call. (usually in cities). Report report report. get on the national call list because its just fun to see who does not look at it, never pick up and block numbers when you can. Practice safe personal secuirty.. never give out personal information such as Name, credit card info esp last three digits.( SEND A CHECK) birthdate, address, email, social secuirty info or any link that soembody with half a brain can link back to you and that includes putting your phone number on any document on the web..
Use a secure browser that links only to the site you want to purchase.
Free is hardly every "free"
Suspect any reporting sight. No not leave personal information on sites like this as it could be "collected" and sold to telemarketers..
