non stop calling... they have the wrong number...

not sure how they stay in business trying to collect when they don't have the right number.... you'd think someone there would have half a brain and realize that someone isn't going to pay someone else's debt so why keep calling.

looked up the company... bunch of humber college students... explains a lot

C.B.C.C. IS PROBABLY A FAKE NAME, (collect cents) is fishing for money. They probably bought accounts receivable from a company for pennies on the dollar. If you don't recognize the number, don't answer. If you do, do not answer ANY questions. Don't even confirm your address with them. Anything important must be served on you by registered mail and/or personal service. No one is going to stop them phoning, no one, not police, not Bell Canada, not the courts. Let them prove their case in court. Any small amount of money, less than $1000.00, is not worth their time to court, and what are they going to prove, you didn't have a contract with them anyways. They would have to bring in the company which says you owe them money, which would require a subpoena for every witness.

Just had a terrible call with these people where the man full on attacked me asking personal questions about my children and assumed I have money to pull out of my a*s because I have kiDS. Called back to talk to a manager because I don't run from my debt and the manager was just as aggressive as the rep so I hung up.

Learned this number is a collection agency. My cellphone is private and for limited use (emergency). Such a breach of Privacy is unacceptable.

We do not have any outstanding debts and this d**n number keeps showing up on our cellphone...going to report them. This is ridiculous!!! What do they do draw a phone number out of a hat to harass. Our cellphone is only used for emergencies on the road and no one has the number except us...... The only number our bank or credit card holders have is our landline....Pathetic!!!!

So far I got about 30 phone calls over the past 3 week or so. I have this number blocked but I'm still really really annoyed. I don't know how to make them stop.

They call daily--it is about a debt from someone whom I don't know.
This has got to be illegal!

Phone me on my cell - shown as unknown caller. Then he told me it is regarding a overdrawn RBC bank account. Not mine or my husband. Then this person said it is my son and he has to phone ASAP. The account number does not belong to any of us.
