Caller name: Scotia Bank
they have been calling every single day, never leave a message, so I finally called them back to complain, she said anyone (or a family member) on their mailing list gets calls, I told her I DO NOT bank with them, haven't in over 25 yrs. and my number has changed over the years. After much convincing, she finally agreed to take my number off their calling list; of course it will take several business days, so I'm going to take note and see if it really happens, otherwise, I'll file a complaint with CRTC. My call display lists the time and date of every call so I'll be checking it.

I called it back and was put on hold for a customer service rep. When I finally got one, I told him not to put me on hold again and to stop phoning me - that they call every day and never leave a message. He asked if I was a ScotiaBank customer, and I said yes, so he asked me for my bank card number. I told him there was no way I was giving him that information - that if this was regarding my bank account, then he should have left a message. I gave him my phone number and he asked if it was a cell phone. I said, "Yes, which is why I want you to stop calling it!" He says he'll have marketing remove me from their calling list. We'll see if they do.

I got the same call last night and he was giggling and his voice was very strange- I felt this may not be real, then he asks personnal questions with Where do I work and I hung up too!
Caller name: Scotiabank Mortgage Dept
I kept getting calls from this number, I never answered because I don't answer numbers I don't know. I tried calling them back and it said it was Scotiabank Mortgage Dept, but they were closed because it was after their business hours.
I called the Scotiabank telephone banking number listed on their website and spoke to someone there. They confirmed that it was their dept, not a scam and apologized for the disruption. I had them put my name on the do not call list. I also filed a formal complaint about the calls as I have been receiving them for 2 weeks now.
I would suggest anyone else getting these calls file a complaint with scotiabank also. Their telephone banking number is 1-800-472-6842
They call me everyday too for weeks and never leave message. I have asked to be on do not call list before and the calls stop, but then I start getting calls again after several months. Answering the call to hear dead air while the telemarketer gets my call in his ear just makes me furious so I don't answer the calls. The whole situation is very annoying.
They have been calling my cell phone for months now. Usually once per day in the early evening. I've never answered as I don't answer unknown or blocked calls, and they've never left a message. Does anyone have any success stories about getting these bozos to stop calling?
I gotta hand it to the dirka dirka guy on the phone, he put up with a whole lot of profanity from me without hanging up. h**l I started blasting the koran just to be fun, but he was h**l bound and determined to sell me some scotiabank c**p. I'm going to go down to the local scotiabank and take it out on the tellers. Hey, it's not their fault you may say, but it's more their fault than mine!
I switched from TD to scotia about a year ago, man, even TD didn't work this hard to alienate it's 'loyal customers'. BTW the 'verification code spam is s**t on this site. KIA RONDO?!?! What a piece of s**t car!!! Do people really still buy kia? I thought kia was the discount hyundai (which is a discount honda, which is a discount toyota, which is a discount GM which is a discount chrysler, which is a discount ford). From the picture, the kia rondo looks like a S****y s**t's platform shoe!

They must have left the machine on for the weekend, it rings and rings, but they don't answer when I do. If this is scotiabank you would think they would google their number to see if people like us are starting to get vocal about it.
