User Complaints for (888) 710-2013
Caller name: Gary, then Alicia
Our office received three calls today from 888-710-2013. First call was from Gary saying he was from the BC Economic Business Authority and asked if we were moving for statistics purposes. I told him we were at the end of the year, then he asked how many people were planning to move. I told him it was unconfirmed and he pressed for a range, 5-7 people, 7-9... then I asked him for a website to know where he is calling from and he hung up.
The next call hung up without saying anything. The third call was from Alicia, and she said she was calling from the National Statistics Office. She asked how many people were moving, "Are 5 people moving? Are 7 people moving?". I asked her for a website and she hung up.
I don't know what they do with this info, but I'm going to say what Anonymous said that we're going to move into their offices.
Caller name: Hannah
"Hannah" called and said she was from the State of Illinois Business Office asking if we were still planning on moving into our new spot. I told we had been in our current location for two years and she then asked if we planned on moving. My response was that it was a condo & we own it so not that I am aware - She hung up before I could ask further questions....
Caller name: Uncertain
This number (1-888-710-2013) calls our office approximately once (1) a day. They usually give a different Company name...today it was Mid-Missouri; and then they proceed to ask if we have found a new location and are still intending to move. At this point, i just start yelling at them. I am a nice person; but i would stab that guy in the eye if i could. They are wasting resources and time. Is there anyway to blow up their phone lines? We can all team together and call him once a day each. Where is anonymous when you need them....
Caller name: Traci
I have received 5 calls in the last week from this number. They start by asking if we are planning on moving soon. They say they are with the Arizona Economic Development agency. I have told them in no uncertain terms that we are no moving anytime soon. I hope to have our voip system block them
Caller name: Hard to say... they muffle it
I've had the same experience as above. On the 5th or 6th time they called me this year they stayed on the phone with me for about 5 minutes acting like they couldn't hear me. I told them that I was planning on moving into their office so they would always know where I was at. Then they hung up. I have no idea what they are trying to achieve. Even if they are running some type of scam it seems really odd.
Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Calls our office several times a month. Claims to be from Alberta Business Development. When asked to get their phone number to call them back the lady just hung up. Did *69 to get there number only to find its the typical "This number is no longer in service"
Caller name: Oregon Business Alliance
After 15 calls in three days we asked to be removed from the call list. The gentleman with an accent flipped out and went mental. He started calling back over and over for over 30 mins. Just blowing up our company lines. We would pick up the phone and he would say NAH NAH NAH NAH I can call you if I want I will call back every 30 mins today, tomorrow and then next day if I want. One co-worker told him to get a girl friend as he had too much time and he yelled "I AM g*y" so she said "Ok get a boyfriend I don't care!" Then he would call and just and make weird noises..TRULY scary! He didn't stop till we answered and held the phone away and called J, DID THE TRACE GO THROUGH! She yelled YES! Finally he hung up and no more calls
Caller name: Kevin Smith
They call our business through a private back line, a number that isn't even marketed to the public. We are in Illinois, so they identify themselves as being from Illinois. However, "Kevin Smith's" accent isn't from Illinois, and neither was the backround noise. The officer manager had already received a call from them this morning and very clearly asked that we be removed from their call log. (we say this EVERY time they call) but today, no less than 5 minutes later they called again. I answered laughing because I couldn't believe their gall and told "Kevin" that we had just told them to stop calling "seriously". SOOO... they proceeded to HARRASS us for the next 10 minutes by calling over and over and not saying anything when we answered. I called our phone service provider and had them block 888-710-2013 on all our lines. Hopefully this works.
Caller name: "Michael Tyson"
Same as the other July 15 2013 note - asked if my company had completed its' move and if not, how could they help. "Michael Tyson" certainly could have passed for an Illinois businessman as he claimed to be but guessing it was a call center in India, primarily based on background noise.
Yesterday when this company called and asked if we were going to move, I told her Yes (playing along so I can get more info). She verified our mailing address and said she would send info from their company. She didn't ask for anything confidential or that I believe she could use to Scam us so i really have no idea what their mission is. Apparently their system doesn't show their other annoying reps when they've already called a company and will be sending whatever it is they are sending because they have called a few times already today. I wrote down the phone # though so now when i see it on the caller id, I just pick up the phone and hang it right back up. When/If i actually receive anything in the mail from them i will be sure to post any info of theirs on here for anyone else being harassed by this company! Oh and I am the same Jessica that posted on July 15th.
Another hit in Edmonton. The fellow had a Filipino accent and wouldn't give me a number to call, an address of the "Alberta Business Development Office", nor a website. He said he was legitimate but was not "allowed" to give out any details. I told him that I couldn't so so either.
I'm just curious about the scam. Are they forwarding information on companies that might be looking to relocate to realtors, office suppliers and movers? Just a thought.
This number keeps called and states exactly what everyone else says. They call almost every single day and it has been going on for weeks!!! They want to know if we are moving and if we have found a new building. I tell them I am not authorized to answer those calls and you have already called several times. Then I ask them to remove us from their calling list and they hang up!! Same thing every time! How do we get them to stop calling?
It's some spammer who consistently changes numbers, but uses the same female phone agent (with Indian accent) asking if your company "has found a new office location' even when there are no current plans to do so. This time she says she's calling from the "California Business Development Office". I've repeatedly told them NO and to remove us from their calling list yet they continue to call!
416-214-3400 - World Trade Group
Annoying, unwanted calls.
Hopefully your office has call display. Don't answer the phone when you see this number and record any other number that comes in for World Trade Group so you can avoid those too.
I recevied a call today from this number asking for my address and stated they were from the State of Florida.
They never gave a name - anonymous.
Asking about selling building?
I asked why are you calling and they hang up!
I recalled this number back - "This number is no longer in service"
They obviously are some kind of realtor scammers ?
Caller name: Uncertain
Pretends to be from a government agency and tries to find out if company is relocating? When? etc... Has an Asian accent and hangs up if you try to ask informational questions about them. Unprofessional and stupid time wasters.
Caller name: Albin
They said was from City of San Antonio, and want to know when I will move, I received 12 call between 1 week, I ask them and they disconnect,
IS NOT true that they are from the City of San Antonio, do not give them any info
they are telemarketing try to sale something
This number calls my work several times a week and every time we tell them, No we are not moving and to please remove us from their call list, they just hang up! My co-worker asked to speak to the manager and the person that called said they were the manager and hung up. When i call the number back it says it's not in service. Next time i may just play along to see what info i can find out about their company. so annoying! sometimes they introduce themselves as from the State of Oregon and other times they ramble off some other company name but they always have a middle eastern accent. The number on our caller id shows: 888-710-2013
same story as everybody else... they actually called us a few moments ago. what made me go ahead and google the number was the fact that he couldn't get the hint when I told him more than 10x (literally) that we were not looking to move. After I asked him to remove us from the call list he said to me, "we cannot do that ma'm, because we are calling from the government." I responded with, "oh really? what is your company? and can I speak with your manager because I want to be removed" he than said to me "are you the owner of the company?" when I replied with "no, but I am authorized to ask you to remove us" he than said to me "your not the owner, you have no control over removing us from the call list" and than he hung up. what a d*ck. I cant wait for the moment he calls back because he will get a piece of my mind.
I live and work in the UK, received a missed call from this number and immediately googled it as it is very unusual for our company to receive calls from international numbers. Unsure why they would be trying to contact a UK based company, obviously a scam but can't work out what or how.
same as the other calls listed above. Saying they are from Oregon Dept of Biz Development asking if we have found a new location. We aren't moving, never have even been considering it. When I tell them that they rudely hangup. Be careful...our long distance was hacked a few months ago when we were getting a lot of these calls.
