These guys are probably a Third Party Collection Co., some guy from India said his name was James, asked him were he was calling from he said a co. called Harvard something, I could not understanding him, I asked him if he was a third party collector and would not ans. me, just kept asking me if I was that certain person they were looking for, I did not ans. his ? but kept ?ing him, finally I asked for a supervisor and he did the same thing he wouldn't tell his name but kept asked if I was that person he was looking for, I never disclosed that info. which made him upset and kept telling me that the call was being recorded and I neeed to ans. his ?, I informed him of the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT, and that he had to tell me if he was a third party collection agency before I ans. any ?s or tell him who I was, and he refused to ans my ?s and told he he was in violation of the F.C.R.A. I finally hung up on him. I was a Mgr. for many years of a first party collecting co. by law that can call you once a week to collect on a debt, but third party collection co.'s have to stop calling you when you inform that to because you really don't owe them anything, its the company that they bought the debt from that you really owe, so when a 3rd party collection co. threatens you with reporting your credit to a RETAIL CREDIT MERCHANT, tell them its already there, that how your co bought the debt, I always tell them not to worry about my credit unless they are paying for it. So in the long run you only owe the company you got the credit from period. FYI - get a crdeit report and go down your list and find a way to contact them and offer to pay out your debt if they will compromise on 0.25c on the the dollar and build up form there most company will do this instead of losing out everything, so they make something on the debt. and make sure you get a confirmation # and receipt for your records, then call your RETAIL CREDIT MERCHANT CO. to let them know the acct. was paid so they can make that adjustment on your credit report, also if there is something on your credit report that is more then 7 to 10 yrs. old ask the R.C.M.Co. for a form to have them delete these old creditors from your credit report. So tell these 3rd party collection co.'s to Fock off. Hope this was helpful for you guys out there, God Bless

This has to stop. I answered and they asked to speak to my dad and I asked who was speaking. He said Andy in an Indian accent. I told him that he was not available right now if he would like to leave a message and they clicked. SUPER RUDE! I would really love to speak to their management.

These people are attempting to contact my son who is unable to verbally communicate with anyone. They have told me in specific terms that they will continue to call as often as they like until they hear from my son, who, by the way, they claim is a female. Ha! The last rep that called was a Shane Hodges. When I asked for their mailing address, he replied Illinois, Chicago (clearly outsourced to India) because it's Chicago, Illinois but was unable to provide an address as he said he could not disclose PERSONAL information. Ha-Ha!

This number is a scammer number, when I called it back I asked what they wanted. Guy told me I don't know, you tell me. I said that's funny b/c you called me first, then he magically found my name and said it was a "personal matter" didn't want to tell me what he wanted after I told him it was me like 5 times. I hung up and blocked it. They will call again and go straight to voicemail. If you get a call don't give any personal info, they are scammers.

WOW...I have been receiving a million calls from this f#@$ing # also. I googled it in an attempt to find out who they are bc I don't answer #s that I am unfamiliar with. I am also receiving messages from a pleasant sounding female stating "this is not a debt collector or solicitor, that they are calling about an important business matter". I haven't gotten as far some of you bc if I answer the phone and am put on hold immediately, especially if it's an unknown #, I hang up. Don't contact me and then put me on hold. After reading all of your comments though, I am going to call my cell carrier in the morning and have THEM block the numbers, (pretty sure they use more than one # ???, if I am not mistaken. This is blatant harassment and absolutely unacceptable. I cannot believe any legitimate business would threaten and curse at the customers. There's no way in h**l that this isn't a complete scam. No debt collector or random person calling regarding an "important business matter" conducts business in such a manner. It is mid-2014 and many of the posts on this site are from 2 FREAKING YEARS AGO, SO WHY HAS NOTHING BEEN DONE TO STOP THIS HARASSMENT BC THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THIS IS!!! I fully intend to speak with management of my cell provider bc there's got to be something that can be done...again, WOW...

I have been called several times but I will not answer. I have Metro PCS, and have Metro Block It Services. The only problem is that when you block one number, debt collectors will continue calling from different numbers JUST TO HARASS you. I am on the national do not call registry and do not give out my cell phone number to many people or businesses. I personally believe that if you owe a debt, let them contact you by US mail. Or, if you really want the money, take me to court and PROVE that I owe you one red cent. Don't cause me grief and anxiety by calling 100 times daily. I should be able to sue them for emotional distress!!!!

Been receiving calls for weeks on end since adding a new cell phone line to our service. I do not answer 99.9998% of the calls but the one time i have answered it was a Indian man named John Davis wanting to speak to a Hispanic name that i do not remember . When i told the man he had the wrong number he then asked for a second Hispanic name with same last name as previous , and i informed him for the second time that this was not who he was looking for please remove me from his list. Then he persisted to ask again for a third name with same last name and I said " look here i do not have time for games you have the wrong number" he replied " if you would just put so and so on the phone we can resolve this matter and you can continue with your day" I got loud and started cursing him telling him to find a real job that he was a bottom feeder he then threatened my children and promised to ruin their credit and mine and did the craziest thing of all called me by my name which i had not given him yet. I hung the the phone up and receive 3 to four calls a day now.....I believe this is a group of scammers who fraud people based on their credit report or something beware....

Every time I attempt to answer for this number, it sounds as if it is a fax machine nor a computer. I get the call at least once a day for the past who knows how long. I pay for my talk, so each time they answer there is another 10 cents out of my pocket. I also receive constant calls from 1-888-638-9256. This is a computer generated call from a collection agency. The message directs you to call another number about "an important business matter". I recommend printing that number on slips of paper that say, "Hear a message about Jesus" and then passing it around at a local church.

Demands name and social security number from my underage son. My son told them he was not going to provide that and caller was vulgar and rude. I took the phone and asked what they wanted from my son, caller wouldn't talk to me and demanded my son get back on the phone and answer his questions. I hung up, and we set the phone number to not ring. He gets about 4-5 calls every day for the last few weeks since.

Around 330pm-I got the same call yesterday on my cell phone. I asked who he was looking for and gave me 2 different names. I told him I was neither and he had the wrong number. He aplogized and said he would remove my number. Then a 558pm last night I got another call from them and they left an automated message that they were trying to collect a debt. I called today and got the same indian accented guy I spoke to yesterday. He gave me anther names and I told him no. He then wanted my name and I refused to give it to him...he kept asking for my name. My phone lost signal....so the call ended.

This company call my business and leaves a computer generated message that they are calling about an important message. They call two to six times a day. They have been calling for months. I have returned their call and they say they cannot stop the calls because they have no record of my business name or phone number in their records. At the advice of AT&T I have talked to their compliance department and manager being promised the calls will stop immediately to no avail. The calls continue. I have filed a complaint with the FTC at the recommendation of AT&T but have not receive a response from them. Over the months they have probably wasted hours of my time retrieving their calls and cancelling pages. I really need an answer how to stop this harrasment.

This company tells me they purchased a debt that I owed to a physician years ago. I did not ask them to purchase a debt I was paying on nor was I disclosed verbally or in writing that a potential debt collection agency would be buying my debt and making me pay. "Ted" stated several times that it doesn't matter if I asked them to purchase my debt or not that he will collect and make me pay. I asked what sanctions I would face if I refused to pay a company that I know nothing about and the callers presenting themselves as someone other than they really are. "Tom Collins" then told me he would make sure my credit would be ruined and they would get paid regardless of what they had to do to make it happen. I responded by saying "f**k that" then "Ted" told me " f**k your mother" and refused to let me talk to a supervisor or any one else then told me he was hanging up on me and to "suck his d**k". When I attempt to call back as soon as I give my name I am hung up on. What course do I have to handle this?
