Several times a week I get automated calls, the caller ID is spoofed and they leave a recording on your voice mail telling you that you are under investigation, they are going to contact your job, verify your assets. They claim federal law prohibits them from disclosing the nature off the call and urge you to call them back at 877 297 2962. This reeks of either SCAM or illegal debt collection.

Same as everyone else, but the latest one says: Hello again this is SPB Consumer processing division, today we are notifying you of a wage and asset verification. blah blah blah.

This is a scam. I owe no debts and if it were so important a live person would be on the line AND I would receive something official in the mail. They need to stop calling.

Recorded message. Same as the other. They never say what company or details. They word it so you think it's something to do with a lawsuit or collection. Suspicious.
