Caller name: David Bonneville
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
Received a call from this number on September 21, 2013, showing the origin as Jamaica. The man with the accent at the other end identified himself as Mr. David Bonneville. It was my lucky day - I had won a 4-door bright blue 2013 Mercedes "C" Class, a year's-worth of gas, $550,000, two American Airlines roundtrip tickets to the destination of my choice, PLUS (I just can't believe my luck!) an $850,000 Walmart gift card. Think of the underwear I could buy!! I recognized this as a scam, but played along. I figure if he's going to waste my time, I'm going to waste his. He kept saying that he has no reason to lie, that lying is a sin, and an abomination to the Lord, and I kept agreeing. He said the car would be delivered on Monday, September 23, from a town called (and he spelled it out) O-c-e-a-n-s-i-d-e. Had I heard of it? Yes, I told him I had, then asked what city he was in. He said he was in Los Angeles, but wouldn't answer when I asked him if he was familiar with Oceanside. (For those who are not familiar with Southern California, anyone who lives in Los Angeles knows where Oceanside is - and can pronounce it without having to spell it.) Mr. Bonneville then told me that 99.999% of the taxes and charges were covered. All he would need from me was $299.00 in the form of a Money Pack that I could purchase at CVS Pharmacy. He asked when I could have this purchased, so I told him by noon on Monday. He said he would be calling me first thing Monday morning, and the car and prizes would be delivered by 2:00 pm. He gave me his cell number, listed above, plus an office number of 876-572-8836. The timing for this is great - I'll drive my new Mercedes over to Walmart to buy new underwear!
