This James Carter (prob a fake name) who gave the phone number 1876-483-5353,
had my 85 year old grandmother send him a cheque in the amount of $2500 claiming he was an investor and that she would double her money in 10 days. She sent it to him (without speaking to me first) and he has since called her back 3 times asking for more money.
She sent the money to Eva McMillan ( who is also a Scammer) at RR2 Otterville Ont. N0J 1K0.
He is scum and scammers like him that will take money from anyone, including little old ladies should be thrown in a hole and left to die!

He just called a Toronto phone number. So I am assuming that he is attacking/scamming people all over the globe.

He introduced himself as James Carter, and said I had won something and that an international winner won as well. I cut him off while he was speaking and said I was not interested. He then said no problem sweetie. I assume he thought I was young by the way I was answering him, cue me barfing. He had no accent, sounded either American or Canadian to me. Perhaps this is a group scam and not just one person.

Don't fall for it, I should have asked him for his number back so I could report it but he called me using a private number.

James Carter has been calling my grandma for 3 months now. He told her the same story as above, she won a brand new Mercedes and 2 million dollars. All she had to do was send $550 once she sent that he asked for $900 more. When I found out what was going on I quickly stopped her from sending more money! She is 86 years old and fell for his scam!! He is now harrasing her telling her the fbi is coming to her house since she stopped sending money. This guy needs to be stopped! He is already in the money gram system as a red flag. That's what I don't understand why walmart still let her send money to him!

He called me saying I had wont 2.2 million dollars and a brand new Mercedes. When I asked how I won (since I never entered a contest or anything) he said from paying all my phone bills on time. I asked him how he would have access to those files and he avoided the question by telling me the name of his "company". Ridiculous as to his name is James Carter-an American name- yet he has an extremely thick accent!

I received this call from Mr. James Carter who said I had been randomly selected to win 2.5 million dollars and a free Mercedes Benz with plastic still on the seats and a red ribbon ties to it, also free geico insurance on it for a year. He said I had to go to the nearest CVS or Walgreens and purchase a delivery card to pay the a fee to the UPS company that would be reimbursed after I recieved my car. He said I could not see the car or the check until the card was purchased. He also told me several times this is not a scam and he was no liar because he was a christian. He asked me if i believed in God and said mam God is working for you today. It disgusts me that people can stoop so low to take hard earned money from innocent people who just need to catch a break. I have been scammed from guys like this before who took me for 4 grand (3 months ago) and I learned my lesson. "IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS"

I received a cal from this number asking for donation and when I ask to be taken off the call list he started yelling and cursing at me and told me he was going to kill me and my family. We should not have to deal with our cell phone numbers being giving out to people like this the do not call list doesn't help. It is sick what people can get about someone.

I bought a whistle and every time I get one of these calls I give them an ear full. I do it with all the "unknown" numbers. It's becoming a game to me so I don't mind getting these calls now. LOL

I received a call from this number supposedly from the Multistate Lottery Company. As another writer noted, when I demanded that I be placed on the do not call list, he cursed me with an F-bomb. I called the number back, and the same guy answered. I tried to speak to a supervisor or owner, but I guess my cover was blown and he hung up.

I live in Grenada, MS and I received a call from Mr. James Carter. He called and told me that I had won a 2011 Mercedez and $2.5 million. All I had to do was go to Walmart and purchase a $350 G.Dot card. I would give him the number off the G.Dot card and he would give me the car and check that I won. He advised he was on his way from Jackson, MS. That he obtained my information from my utility bills. BEWARE this is a huge scam going across the nation. You should never pay anyone to win money. Also, utility companies to not provide your information to anyone other than you.
