This number called telling us we have won 2nd place a 850,000 dollars & a brand new Mercedes benz. All we had to do is pay the 5% tax to the IRS of 399.00 in the next 3 days and "Betty Jones" "Brenda Walnor" & "Steve Green" will deliver from Johnson City the car & the check. They even proceeded to tell us that they will follow us to the bank to clear the check with a cash advance until the holding period has been lifted from their check to be processed. The payment method to pay them the 5% of the amount (which isnt right) was to go to walmart & put money on a greendot money pak scratch card of 399.00. Gave me a conformation # & an ext # as well. Even asked if we would want our winning to be public or private meaning when they showed up it would be in the paper if public Or private just between us! BOY all that sounds so great to a hard working man who has worked his fingers to the bone for a living BUT we wasnt born yesterday in the dark!

Caller name: Restricted (somewhere in Jamaica)

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

Got a "Restricted" call at around 9:00 MST that lasted for about a half hour. Caller claimed to be named "Samantha Silvy" from "Jamaica, New York" and she had a heavy accent surrounding broken English. She claimed to be from Publisher's Clearing House. Said a man named "Benjamin Charmin" would be by my place of residence with a check that was being held at the local airport. and gave me a ton of info to write down, including a "claims" phone number (looks to be from Jamaica), a "Confirmation number" and a "callback" number, and she asked me to repeat it back multiple times, when I missed a number she got angry and started yelling till I said it correctly. Asked if the first thing I was going to do with my $850 (the amount changed multiple times during the call) was to donate to my church, and started lecturing me on how anything was possible with God, yada yada, ect...

After I got finished with the overly-long repetitive spiel and I hung up, as I'm writing this I got them calling back around 3 times in rapid succession.

My sister got a call from one of these people saying she won money and a new car, she is young and wasn't aware it was a scam so she called the number to "confirm her prize" and he called back told her to go to western union get a sender's form and that since she called that number she was now being tracked by gps, so make sure no one was following her. I told her it was a scam so she hung up then he called back and we told him that he was scamming her so he said "f**k your mother" and hung up....now we're worried that someone is going to come looking for her.

You would think I would have been smarter. I am a disabled vet, going to school for biochemistry, and I should have thought for even 2 seconds about what was being asked. I was told to send $200 in order to register my prize in the state of colorado, since pch isn't local. He sounded legitimate, and I was beyond foolish. I currently cannot work because of my injuries, so I will know better next time since I will be hungry the rest of this month. The transfer rate turns $200 U.S. into roughly $22000 Jamaican currency. These scammers only need to trick a few people to live incredibly well. I was an idiot and suppose I deserve this.

Caller name: Private Number - Michael Somthing from PCH

Caller type: Unknown

My work cell phone just rang with a "Private" number. I answered the line only to find "Michael" from Publishers Clearing House calling to me I had one $5.5mil dollars and a Mercedes Benz.

I was immediately skeptical of the call (both b/c it was a blocked number, he had a strong accent, and I have never signed up for anything with PCH), but , hey.... I'll listen for 2min.

He proceeds to ask my "why are you not excited...?" and I said... "well, I am waiting for the "catch" and your contact info.". He asked me to take down a call back number: 866 996-5997. When I repeated the last 7 digits back to him, he was quick to point out that I had left off the 866 portion - I said, yes...I have that and I repeated the last 7 digits. He said "well.... f*ck you" and hung up.

Same thing as the other folks. 850k. Call the 8669965997 and give the last six digits in your phone number. Guy was pushy. Told me to call it straight away and he was going to call me back. Couldn't even call the number before the guy was calling me back over and over again. Didn't take the call. He never called back after that. What a bunch of scumbags.

I got the same call as everyone else...some foreigner saying I had won 2.5 mil and a Mercedes from the American Cash group and had been trying to get hold of me for two months ..gave me a code and a pass code to call... needed the 1% tax on the money to get my prize delivered. Then we could go to the bank and get it cashed together...haha. Even mentioned something about Donald Trump in there. Said I had won because I used a credit card to buy gas or purchase something from Wal-mart. The call came in at work and he called me back several times after that. Something needs to be done, I don't need that stuff at work or home.

Some guy with a foreign accent said I won the Publishers Clearing House 1 million dollars and how do I feel about this. I told him if it was the PCH I would probably be able to understand them and they probably would not show up as an unknown number on my caller ID. He kept asking how I felt about winning 1 million dollars and he would call me back on a line showing his number. I told him he was just another scammer but he said he would call back. I hung up. He never called back. Sounded like an East Indian or Nigerian accent. Another crook. Something needs to be done about these scammers.

I work for a hotel and the foreign person told me if i were to call this number and enter in my 7 digit code of 123456 (only 6 digits!) they would be able to check my rates for tonight. I kept telling the person on the phone that I can tell them our rates without calling a toll #. Called me 5 times and finally gave up. Do not give into these scammers!!!

It showed up on my phone as Blocked . A guy with a foreign accent more or less from a country in Africa . The guy kept calling saying he was from publishers clearing house . I told him I wasn't interested he would continue to call me when I hang up . He told me I won 250.000 thousand and asked me if I wanted the prize done in public or private setting and also wanted to schedule a time to present the prize . Weird thing was he didn't ask for credit card numbers or anything like that . If he did he wasn't getting any . Something needs to be done about this scam !
