After telling these people to quit calling several times, I finally had to block the number. They still have called and left msgs...five in two days. Chris from E Financial calls and has said its re: education, then now life insurance. It's harassing and not legit.

I called back and it said,"Thank you for returning our phone call, we are calling regarding a life insurance request that we received. Press 1 if you are calling for a free, no obligation life insurance quote. Press 2 is you are calling to check the status of an existing application. Press 3 if you would like instructions on how to be added to our Do Not Call List." I pressed 3 and it said. "To add the number that you are calling from press #, to add a different number, use the keypad to enter an area code and phone number followed by #." I entered my number manually and then pressed # and it said, "Number added, please allow time for processing, Thank You."

Wow, some people are dumb. If you fill out a form online and provide your telephone number, you are allowing that company to call you! It doesn't matter if you are in the "Do Not Call" list or not. Don't be surprised when that web site sells your info, or disguises your registration as a request for a quote or some other way they can make money off of your info.

Also, when you call this company and press 3 to be removed, you do get a response that your number will be removed and that it may take a little time. They don't just hang up on you. But, they do hang up without connecting you to a person, because there is no need. The bottom line is, don't give out your phone number if you don't want to be called, especially on a site you don't know.

Esurance.com uses this number to follow up on quote requests you submit online. It was easy to figure this out because I called the number back.

I am guess because I inquired online about a life insurance policy that it is in fact E- Financial. They call several times a day..often one after the other. I have vonage and can put my phone on "Do Not Disturb" which sends everyone to voicemail...my phone doesn't ring....but I have to miss out on call I do want. This a such a pain that I am considering changing my number and I really shouldn't have to do that to stop the harassing calls.
