I thank you for posting this here, it will help people to know about the scammers. The innocent people need to know! I myself reported the same a thousand times anonymously so that I can make others aware, because there are ignorant customers who are elderly and easily trapped. Is there any way, Sean, I can contact them all or stop this permanently? The company might change their name and begin with a new name! Any idea?

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

Received a call from this group yesterday. Same story that eveyone has written before. Unfortunately, I allowed them access to my computer which was stupid. I have locked the program they asked to download, that really should have the been first clue. Brad passed me to another person who tried to sell me anti-virsus software, which I already have. When I told him that I only allow one tech to work on my computer, he got irate. I hung up on him.

So now what? If something happens to my computer or my information on the computer, I'm screwed.

Because they use the Microsoft name and give you a certified technican number it sounds legit, but obviously it's not.

I just received a call from this number saying that I had a virus on my computer and he wanted me to go thru these steps to see the viruses on my laptop. When I told him that I did not see how he got my phone number, he told me that it was registered when I first bought my computer. But this is not the number under the registration so I know this was some kind of scam. The number on my cell phone caller ID was 316. Don't trust anyone with your computer or credit card information that calls on the phone.

They cold call customers and tell them they are from Windows Support Center, and that you have a virus. When I asked how they knew what cell phone was associated with my PC they gave me the explanation that it was registered in a Database where all PC's are registered. A later explanation is that they monitor the internet and noticed a large volume of viruses in your area. We call everyone inthat area and let them know about it. These guys are scammers, run don't walk from them.

If the name weren't enough...He didn't give me the name the first time he called. I spoke with his so called supervisor too. They said the were from the Windows Service Center, my computer has deadly virus', and the will sell me some "not heard of" software to fix the problem. For only $75 annually or $150 lifetime. They want to take remote control of your computer, DO NOT let them.

Caller name: All different numbers

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

I kept getting a phone call from a 000 number and I finally got fed up and answered it and this individual who was Indian had my name and address and phone number and email. He said my computer was being infected by viruses and my email was being used for bad stuff and I was like what? My computer was not working great and then they went onto ammy.com and had me download team viewer. They showed me all the stuff wrong with my computer. They said that they could fix it for 150.00 so I was like ok and they fixed it and it was running great and they added system mechanic and micro trend and AVG. Then they kept calling about every 2 weeks there was something else with my computer and they wanted me to buy antivirus for 300 dollars life time guarantee. Then they told me they had to protect my computer for security, network, both kinds of drivers and I got scammed out of $2,000 bu is bc I got all the life time plans. Then they said they would give me free iPhone protection but I was skeptical about that. I dealt with them for about a year and I don't want any thing else to do with them. I went to tge police and was told they can't do anything bc they have a machine and are probably out of the country and have machines that can change the phone numbers to whatever they want. I have been harassed by these individuals for a long time. They call me everyday from at least 4 different numbers. I have blocked so many phone numbers and they still continue to call. After I would get a call from 000 after I declined it and blocked it then I would get a call from unknown. The five minutes later they would call from a DC number or Va number. I am so fed up with with them. I tried yelling at them and cussing them out. I hung up on them and told them I cancel all my services lose my phone number.
I got a call yesterday from them and was pist off and said what? They said they wanted my credit card information so they could refund me money. I said I don't want it. I said you took my money ok so you must have my info to return it and he wanted me to fill out something on line and I said h**l no. Stop calling me.
When it first started I called up th DGPL 302 number and said stop having these idiots call me. They said somebody got into their system and took all their customers information and I said that is uncalled for and apologized and said don't answer the phone and said I want nothing more to do with this company.
Then they sent me a fishing email saying it was from Apple telling me that I had to update all my information and I was like ok it is from Apple. After I called the customer care number they told me if was a fishing email and never would they of sent an email for updating information so I immediately canceled my credit card and changed all of my pass words and information.
They still continue to calls daily. This is a scam. Do not fall for it like I did. I didn't know much about computers and will now use a relative or a local trusted repair place

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

Daniel, if that's his real name, called me and said he is from DGPL service center. He told me my computer had been hacked. I asked him how he knew this. He said they have an affiliation with Microsoft, and they are a courtesy of International Routing System. He started running a scan and showed me over 900 infected files. He then began telling me what all was needed to fix my computer At that point I told him he might be hacking computer.
I told him I was hanging up and he tried really hard to keep me on the line. I finally did hang up and he tried to call me twice. After that, he began removing icons from my computer. I told him I was calling BBB and Attorney General and he put the icons back on.
I have a legitimate security system and had them ck computer. It is ok for now, but will have to diligently check it. From reading other reports it seems that this has been going on awhile. Why can't this be stopped?

I too kept getting these calls.
I am usually so smart about this stuff.
But I am the one who kept hitting the Report Error button every time a video on YouTube or something else would crash, so I thought it was legit.

I paid the $150 and allowed them access to my computer.

Horror of horrors..... I discovered that after they worked on my computer, while I watched, they rebooted it. They were able to take over my computer again after it rebooted!!!!!!

This has never happened to me before with other computer techs. They always had to call me back to regain access to my computer.

I am worried they are now recording my every move on my computer and will have to take my computer to someone I trust to make sure they don't have backdoor access to my stuff.

Received a call from 002. Claimed he worked for DGTL and had been receiving information from my computer that it was infected. He had a very strong Indian accent I could barely understand him. This is not the first time he has called. I have been hanging up, but this time I was annoyed. I went along with his call and he wanted me to log into my computer and punch a few buttoms for him. I told him I wasn't going to do it because he could then get into my computer. He then told me that he could get into my computer whenever he wanted he had the license number and spouted out some numbers. I'll check when I get home to see if he's even close. I ended the call with I'll call you back. Yea right !!

I live in Oregon, and I received a call from this lady today ( September 7, 2013). She sounded Indian and she ID'ed herself as Shelly Cooper. She told me that she works in the "Authorized Windows Service Center" and that my computer was being infected by dangerous files. She said that Windows was sending them error reports that indicate there is a problem with my computer. I told her that I never authorize error reports to be sent. She said that they are being sent by the internal hardware of my computer. I asked her location and she advised Wilmington, DE.

I took the number that she gave me (1-866-662-2747) and told her that I was skeptical, and that I did not plan on calling back.
When she originally called this morning, the call came up as "private number" on my caller ID. They have been calling me for about two weeks now, but I did not answer until today.

He said I had a virus on my computer and he wanted to help me get rid of it before my computer crashed and asked if he could log on to my computer to take care of it for me. I asked him which computer he was talking about, I have 3. He said that it is the one with Windows XP. I told him both my home computer and my computer in my office had XP, so which one? He said it was my home computer, to please log on to my home computer and he would walk me thru how to let him onto my computer to get rid of the virus. I told him I wasn't at home and could he call me back in a few hours. He gave me the number "866-662-2747" and told me to call when I was home and on my computer. He said to ask for him, his name is "Mike". Well if the call wasn't fishy enough, I KNEW it was a scam at that point. I don't think Mike is a given name in India. Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

I decided earlier to find out more about the company and here it is:

The original name of DGPL technologies LLC. is Anupam Technologies Pvt. Ltd.(ATech) Their primary office is located at Poddar Point, 113 Park Street, 5th Floor, Block B, Kolkata 700 016. They run their scam BPO center at 'Synegry', Mouza Thakdari, Near Aquatica/ Opposite DLF Building, Krishnapur, Kolkata - 700102

Interestingly, I was interviewed at their Park Street address and when I got the joining letter the original name of the company was not mentioned. It was written as DGPL Technologies Pvt ltd.

As long as I was there I pulled out the customer information and after I cam back home I used to contact each and every customer from a separate mail ID asking them to withdraw their membership. I also sent them detailed information about how to file a 'chargeback' from paypal.
The company did not pay me salary, that's still OK. At least I am happy that I did my part to help the troubled people. I wish more volunteers could do the same thing and someday all the scam companies would be forced to shut down.

I too recieved a phone call this morning telling me that my computer was affected by a deadly virus. She said that she was calling from Windows Service Center, and that Windows had been notified through the Windows Global Networking System that my computer had a bad virus. I was having issues with my computer being slow, but was told by a computer tech, that it was because my memory usage is too high. She informed me that, that was not why my computer was so slow. It was a virus and she could fix it for me, if I clicked on the green button on their website, ammyy.com (which I wasn't sure because it should have been a windows website). She said that she could help, if I didn't do anything, my computer would crash within 5 hours. She told me to go to ammyy.com and let her take over and show me the virus. I asked why she couldn't tell me where to click so that I could see the virus' before letting her take over, I don't recall what she rambled off. I told her that I was sceptical about letting her log into my computer and take over. She offered to give me her number and I could call her back if I felt better about that. She reassured me time and time again that she worked for Windows and I had nothing to worry about. I decided to take her up on getting her number and calling her back. She gave me 866-662-2747, and that her name was Rachel (that was also a give away that she was lying, She clearly was not from America). I did some research and yes, the number is not a working number. I am so glad that I decided to look up this information before moving forward and greatful for websites like these, that allow you know about the criminals that are trying to scam you!

I am an Indian and I do acknowledge these kind of cheap and very embarrassing calls are being made to all English speaking countries from India, especially Kolkata.

I never knew about all these happening! I was not aware but now I am and it made me irate!

My boyfriend is a British and have some other friends, ex boyfriends in US, Canada and I often heard the same from them! So, I wanted to investigate. It was funny that I was offered a job in such a call center and I accepted the job to see how these people operate. Once I joined I took the customer's information and mailed them anonymously to save their money. Those who already purchased I mailed them too asking them to file a report.

I thank my friends and boyfriend for sharing the information. I am glad that at least I could do something. But need to reach more people so that I can save their money! We all earn money with our hardships and I would not like anyone to cheat on me and rob me!! So why should I allow others to be cheated.

I will investigate more and contact more people. I want to help people!

they give me a call recently, so I went ahead and chatted with them for a while. From just the way the customer service talk, you can see that they ARE SCAMMERS.
