After calling and leaving a message for someone that I've never heard of on my cell phone, I called back and was screamed at and told to talk to myself because the woman was hanging up. I then called asking for a supervisor, she proceeded to ask me if I had anything in her office with my name on it... I told her I was getting calls for someone else and that they had the wrong number. She started asking me very aggressively why I was calling back then. I was hung up on shortly after.
Caller name: brian Darden,
this man calld my aunts phone to tell me i had 5 bad written checks and i was doing fraud, then when he gave her information he gave her a case number and a phone number to reach him at. (866-267-9585-ext 316).. i proceeded to contact him and he answered and i asked him more info, he then started to yell at me with a rude voice after i asked him to send me paperwork about the bad checks, he then said i can't help you anymore and hung up. i have to say he threatened me on my ansering machine also. i would just like to state i don't have bank accounts, so therefore i have never written checks. this man is a fraud and i have contacted police, he is in Atlanta, GA. he also calls from the phone number 404-991-2268. he names off your family members, hes rude, and gets ahold of personal info, watch out people.

This lady calls me CONSTANTLY and leaves messages for me threatening that I am going to face criminal charges if I don't call them back!!! I have not returned their call and this is a total scam! This company should not be able to leave threatening messages on people's VM systems. Ridiculous that this is allowed!......

The Caller, somehow got a hold of my Brothers Home # and left a message, telling him that I will be served papers, or a warrant for my arrest for fraud. My Brother told them if they call again he will get his Lawyer and will take them to court and sue. The caller then just got all argumentive and hung up. I think it was a Female who called. I would be in jail by now if i was investaged for Fraud . These people are scammers, and go from one collection agency to another. I will never pay a debit collection agency again. I will pay past due bills to the money i owe them. I done call block too don't know how they get through. My brother told me that these people buy old debit collections and thats how they get our info.

My mother recieved a call at her place of business. Her boss answer and indicated she was not at work. Caller proceeded to ask for her home telephone # and address. Her boss, wisely indicated he could not provide that information but if he could take a message. Caller indicated that my mother need to call Mr. Tate at 1-866-267-9585 ext. 316. He was from Harris County Courts and she needed to call TODAY and left a case #. My mother's boss called her all upset telling her she needed to call TODAY, NOW. My mother had no idea what this could be about but became so upset that we had to take her to the hospital for a severe anxiety attack!! My mother was beaten by a cop when she was younger and is terrified of police officers or anyone in that regard. I called the number several times and only receive an answering machine indicated I've reached Mr. Tate and to leave my Case # and Attorney inforamation. I am so MAD for what this Scammer has done!! It's inexcuseable!!!! Why can't these scums of the earth be STOPPED!!!!!!

I have spoken with this company many of times. They go by UFF also United financial services and United financial mediation services out of Atlanta Georgia. Through the last 6 months they have been on my back telling me to pay for this written check that was bad and fraudulent. I took out a payday loan with a company for $300. They now say it is $1734. I have called the company it is with and they have never and will never try to put you in jail for this. People we need to help and try to find out who this company is before they really hurt someone. They will give you an address but when you google it its not theirs. Call the federal trade commission and turn them in.
They have threatened to come to my house and as always I invited them to step foot on my property with the knowledge they will be SHOT on the spot. This company is a scam, they are dangerous people in their own.
I also would like to teach everyone a few things here today. Back in the day collection companies could send you to jail for not paying debts but that has not been the case for years. Do not believe them. They cant do a thing to you. Secondly, I used to manage a check into cash in 2009 and will tell you that payday advance companies will send you to collections but it is inside collections and they don't add on interest.
No one should have to go through this at all. I tried to call the federal trade commission but because of the government shutdown they are off. So we are even more at risk right now. If they do call you feel free to do what I do and have some fun with it. Ask them questions and read them poems do whatever it is that you do but don't stress.

I got a call routed through a local number, but they wanted me to call back at 866-267-9585. This "local number" routing is a new thing. These collection agencies have figured out that people won't pick up unknown 800 calls, so they make it look like a local call. But I never pick up any call if I don't recognize the number. The male caller was very rude, demanding I return the call immediately. He didn't leave any threats on the voicemail, I'm sure he was waiting for me to call back for that. But I learned long ago to never, ever, ever return any of the calls - ever. You can't block your phone number when you return an 800 call, so once you call back, they've got you. But if you never call back, they do, eventually give up and move on to someone else. Just a few other things everyone should know: 1) There is no such thing as debtors prison. These people have no authority or ability to get you arrested or even get a warrant issued. All debt is a civil issue - and not a criminal matter, which means, at best, they could try and take you to court to get a civil judgment. But that is a long, drawn out and expensive a process - which almost never goes in their favor. Judges tend to side with the individual and against the collection agency. And they're usually trying to collect some small amount (less that 5000.00) of money; and it would cost them almost half of that to bring it to court. 2) They can't do anything to your driver's license or your social security card - anything else for that matter. The three major credit bureaus won't even post anything negative on your credit report its regarding some payday or cash advance loan. There are just too many scams out there with these types of collections, so they wont' accept or post anything from them - good or bad. 3) All they can do is harass you by phone, so you could change your phone number ( and have it unlisted) and then they can't bother you. If they get a hold of your work number or the numbers of friends or family, just tell them to hang up and don't give out any information on you. 4) There is a statute of limitations on these things. If they haven't been able to get you to pay them after two years (24 months), the debt goes away. By which, I mean, they can't even take you to court on it. They can still call and make threats, but they have no legal standing after two years. But this is only true if you haven't paid them anything during that time period. If you make even one "good faith" payment of some small amount, the clock starts all over again. So if you know that the last time you made any payment on the debt was more than 2 years ago, tell them to go pound sand! Tell them to go ahead and take you to court and sue you! You can also tell them that you know the statue of limitations is up on collecting that debt and you have no intention of paying them anything. They may rant and rave and swear that you're wrong, but they will also probably go away and leave you alone after that. I hope this was helpful.

Had a message for someone with a name very similar to my daughter's name. Caller said it was a legal matter and that I had to call immediately. I called and asked for the extension. The woman who answered was EXTREMELY RUDE when I wouldn't share my name. I said I was returning a call. She hung up on me. I called again and got through to "Mrs. Green." I told her there was nobody by that name, but because she had called my home I wanted an explanation of the problem in writing. She proceeded to start screaming at me. Literally wouldn't stop. Then hung up om me. Amazing. What a scam. There are truly evil people in this world.

First someone aasked for me and said she was calling fro her boss. It was regarding illegal activity against my drivers license and SS#. SHe said if I was ready she would put me through to her boss. I told her I had n idea what she was talking about. SHe said Ms. Gray would explain, I told her to have her send me something in writing and not to call this number again. I answered another call since this was my work number and noticed I got another call. VOice message from Ms. Gray abut how it is imperative that I contact her today or she will have to make a decision. I have no idea who these people are or who they supposedly represent.

Called me and said I owed $1700 on a cashnet loan. That was $1000 in interest they added to my original $735 owed. They also said they would have me arrested and my license and ss# was at risk. I needed to pay them over the phone right then and there-which i declined. I have just emailed Cashnet's collection dept to see if they are truly scammers or one of there people. Either way its illegal for them to say those things and I will talk with the federal trade commission either way.
