got a letter in the mail, looked sketchy saying i won free airplane tickets and had to be redeemed by 12/30/12 i did some google search and saw that dana kline as the vp and the contents of this letter is a phising scam

Got the same letter stating win two free airline tickets. Not going to follow up I'm sure it's not from us air. I contacted the airline and said it was not from them.

Recvd a letter stating they had attempted to reach me several times for 2 free roundtrip airline tickets a value of $1,398. The letter looked fake so I googled the number and found several links indicating it was a scam.

Received the same letter saying I won 2 airlines tickets and respond before 9 Jan 2013. The letter was obviously suspicious and it is a type phishing strategy...hope this people get caught.....letter straight to the trash...what a waste of paper and stamps.

Caller name: US Airlines

Same letter as everyone else. Signed by a Dana Kline. I hope someone stops them. Numbers on the letter at the bottom are 2AS1219G If it's too good to be true then it isn't.

Caller name: Dana Kline

I rec'd same letter dated December 20th 2012. I need to respond by January 8th 2013. They claim to have two ticket vouchers for anywhere inthe Continental US. Letterhead says "US Airlines" and Dana Kline says she is the Vice President.

I checked here to confirm my feeling that the letter I received is a direct mail phishing scam. Here is the complete text of the letter:

December 20th, 2012

Dear <First name>,

I am pleased to inform you that you have qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip Arline tickets. Congratulations. these tickets are valid for travel anywhere in the Continental U.S. from any major international airport. The retail value of this award is up to $1,398.00. Certain restrictions apply.

We have attempted contacting you several times without success. This is our last attempt. If we do not hear from you soon, we may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate.

Please call me today at 1-855-879-8217.

I'm excited, I usually only get solicitations like this via email at work. Apparently I have millions of dollars in Africa for some reason all the time. I usually reply with a yahoo account and beg them to send me the money or offer them a cut of the cash if they send it next day air. They don't keep track of the name or email addresses they try to scam...
Anyways... I will call it from work and see what type of scam they are pushing on Monday.
