This (855) 839-5234 is NOT an official number for the company Pitney Bowes!! Please BEWARE and DO NOT give them any information. If it is a legit call from Pitney Bowes their company name WILL SHOW on caller ID. Also the caller may have a name or two of ones that work in your office but this is STILL A SCAM, they are able to somehow collect "inside info" to make them appear to be actually from Pitney Bowes. Hang up hang up immediately!!

I received a call from a company calling themselved Pitney Bowere and saying they noticed we are running low on toner cartridge for our Pitney Bowers stamp machine. I told him NO and that I'm responsible for making the orders when we run out or the cartridge is low. He immediately hung up on me. I've reported this to our Pitney Bowes Representative and looking for their department that takes care of company that misrepresent Pitney Bowes. When I do get this information, I will share it with your website.

Called and asked for me by name and stated she was with Pitney Bowes. Stated that it was time to order some ink. I told her that when I needed ink that I will call and place an order. This is not the contract contact supply number for my Pitney Bowes. They call monthly and pull the same scheme.

Caller claimed to be from Pitney Bowes suggesting that it was time for us to buy more ink. I told them I order from Amazon. This person knew that I had just leased a new machine. I told them I'd contact PB if I needed anything. Person said thank you and hung up.

The person claimed to be "Don" from Pitney Bowes and said our machine had sent them a message that it was low on ink. I remember replacing the ink in our machine very recently so I was immediately suspicious. He said we last ordered in 2016 and asked if we would like to re-order so that we won't run out. I asked him when we were invoiced for it (I manage payables) and he said Sept 2016. I could find no such record of a bill for that. I told him we'd give it some time and to call back in 6 months.

They called me and all I got was music. Tried to call them back, based on the number that came up on my call display, and they are not reachable.

When you first answer the phone they say they are calling from Pitney Bowes. The caller proceeds to inform you that your machine reports you are running low on ink in the machine, would you like to order more. I hang up as Pitney Bowes does not call you, you have to call them. At times they will continue calling me back insisting they are with Pitney Bowes. Don't believe it they are not.

Said they were calling from Pitney Bowes and that they had received "an alert" that we were low on meter ink. I sarcastically (we have had nothing but hassles from Pitney Bowes through the years) exclaimed, "Oh noooo, an alert!" and told him we were fine on ink. He then said "Okay. I do note on your record, however, that there is possibly a more important alert that the phone lines in your area are all going digital and your current machine will need to be upgraded. I asked him why we hadn't received any notices about this (our machine is just a year old) and he said that they did send a notice in 2016. In the going back and forth we were disconnected (he was still talking when the hangup occurred). I am calling our Pitney Bowes rep now about this. Nothing on the website mentions phone line changes.

Person called and asked for an employee who hasn't worked here in over 10 years. When he said he was with Pitney Bowes, checking on our meter and who orders supplies, I told him I handle everything. He hung up on me.

This person said he was from Pitney Bowes and looking at his records I should be getting low on ink. He sounded legit so I took the time to check my cabinet and said I have plenty. He then asked me how low I was on tape and sealer. When I said I have one more case of sealer, he said I see you ordered four cases. I agreed and said that was in error as I meant to order four bottles (one case). How did he know this unless he was really from Pitney Bowes? If he wasn't, I feel like an idiot wasting my time looking in my cabinets checking supplies. I meant to tell him, I usually order my supplies online. Next time they call back, I will say this.

Caller claimed to be with Pitney Bowes customer service. But they are with Pit-Ney Bowes. Ask how machine was running and said they received a call from the machine saying it's out of ink. I said no thank you and a week later C****** P****** S***** sent me some ink & tried to bill the company $400+ for it. I called FTC and BBB to lodge a complaint. After they received the letter they called, had items shipped back to them, and 0 out invoice.

This person left a very awkward voicemail, but they didn't intend to. But I know it was Pitney Bowes, because right after the call she sent me an email saying she noticed we were due a supply of ink cartridges. She wanted to know if she could go ahead and ship them to me. Her voicemail: ".....(silence)..... I'm faaat. I need to lose some weight....(background noise)....What is she saying (talking to someone)?...." click. That was a hoot.
