Unsolicited call - have been receiving lots of these lately and rather than a real person, starts out with a recorded message - I just hang up as they are VERY ANNOYING. We are on a 'no call' list...why are we receiving these calls?
Caller name: Faith and Freedom Action
Fraud trying to steal money for their fake "conservative" organization. Taking advantage of elderly and others who may believe these scammers can actually change policy with your hard-earned dollars. Do not answer! Lying thieves!
Caller name: Faith and Freedom Coalition
They call themselves "Faith and Freedom Action" and they are pretty much tea baggers calling to warn you that the whole country is going to h**l if we don't repeal Obamacare and support "traditional marriage".
They called me yesterday and started off by thanking me for my previous support, which is bull since 1) I don't support them and had never heard of them, and 2) I live alone, so no one else here supports them. I hit 0 a few times, got a person, and gave her a piece of my mind. She assured me that my phone number was being removed "right now" and I'd never get another call.
They called me again tonight.
So..yeah...they are straight up liars. I reported them to the FCC. And btw folks, you can also report phone calls where no one talks to you when you pick up! Just go to the FCC website and fill out the form. PLEASE. Every complaint against these hatemongers helps.
Caller name: TOLL FREE
other half answered the phone. Faith and Freedom Action wanting us to get rid of obamacare. geez - talk about beating a dead horse - how many times have they tried now? why don't they spend their energy coming up with something better?
Caller name: ?
Robo call stating they are working to end ObamaCare followed by a real person who asks for money. When I questioned who they were, and asked if they had a website she kept saying she couldn't hear me and then hung up.
Caller name: Gary Marx Faith and Freedom Coalition
If I can block telemarketers I should be able to block these third party political calls. They leave messages which I have to listen to before i can delete them. This is a very ugly invasion of privacy.
One of those fake social welfare charity 501c4 ranting about Obama. I hope they crack down on that fake charity scam. Their main purpose is to funnel money to candidates and political causes, not social welfare charity to the community as the law states... the voice sounded like excongressman Joe Walsh, who suggested it might be time to shed blood over Obamas healthcare. Thes nutjobs are dangerous and are scamming tax payers.
Caller name: TOLL-FREE
I just got a call which I have on my block list. I get no ring but I do get a list of blocked calls on my phone. See below.
I have the Panasonic cordless telephone Model kx-tg6842b (2 handsets)
You can block 250 numbers plus kill the one ring that existed on earlier models that only allowed 30 blocked numbers.
The one handset model sells for $70 at Amazon.
Caller name: Faith and Freedom Action
This is a political right-wing anti-American PaC that ignites hatred and fear and wants money. The rhetoric is disarming and unrelenting. This is destructive to any political harmony and cooperation. No wonder Congress can't get anything done with !#%!#!!s like this ruining the functioning of our great country. This is one of the political PACs of the Sunlight Foundation. Be alert of them:go to their website to view all the other PACs and avoid them/complain against them. Don't get duped!! Be alert!
Caller name: not shown
I did not answer. Googled the# and see it is Gary Marks. SICK and needs some Texas "medical help" which will cure him once and for all.
So cowardly that they won't leave a message, etc. What are they hiding I ask. I too am on DO NOT CALL but it does not work.
Caller name: Gary Marks
The Faith and Freedom Coalition called, via a voice names Gary Marks. I tried calling the number back and could not get through. I then found their number via the net and called them and gave the woman there a piece of my mind. I then filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. How did these awful people get my number ?
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT answer these calls. At the very least, they're attempting to validate that your number is working/valid so they can sell it to other spammers/scammers/telemarketers so answering will only make you receive more of these calls. At the worst, they're trying to get personal info so they can steal your identity or commit similar illegal activty.
Caller name: RX ASSISTANCE
It appears that this phone number is a general number used by all kinds of groups as a cover for their activities.
From reading above, I see Charity, Political, Scammers, and Telemarketers have all used this very 800 number. All I can think of is that they either RENT the number, or since it appears that many of us have had calls during the same period from different groups, that this particular number may be Software Inserted so it is displayed on our Caller IDs when these groups call us.
That is a direct violation of the Do Not Call Act, especially when Telemarketers are using it.
For myself, I've been receiving calls from this number since last September, first it's a pre-recorded message telling me about the President's Economic Stimulus Package and that I can lower my Interest Rate, and to do so, I should hold on for a representative.
I've picked up the phone a few times and they want you to apply for their credit card. When I ask them to identify themselves and their company, they immediately HANG UP. Always hang up. Another Direct Violation of the Do Not Call Rules.
For the last two months, they've been using this particular phone number, before that it was UNKNOWN or a different 800# without an ID name. But now, they have become increasingly persistent - calling me just about every day. I am tired of deleting their messages and, yes I have reported them to the FCC's Do Not Call folks - but nothing has happened - these scammers just keep calling me.
This has to stop!
Caller name: Faith & Freedom
Thought I could leave a comment after the message, but no such luck. To use God's name to keep people from health care ... obviously not what Jesus would do? To keep politics out of religion, we need to take religion out of politics.
Caller name: Faitn Freedom Action
This was a recorded message from Faith Freedom Action speaking against President Obama's health care program. They were trying to solicit petition signatures and donations to overturn this health care measure.
Caller name: No Name identified
this was obviously a Tea Party sponsered call---a long spurting out of typical lies about the AffordableCare Act and asking for my verbal agreement to abolish their agenda. I don't trust them and they are so-o annoying!
Caller name: only displayed number
did not pick up but noticed "toll free" and "855," and that's why i didn't pick up. i am an early riser and therefore do not mind calls early in the morning, even on weekends, but this was a saturday morning before 8:30 AM. pretty unbelievable, right? i let it go and immediately began searching the number on line thus coming to this site, assuming it was a junk call or that if it wasn't a message would be left i could return. now the number is in the call blocker.
bottom line, there is nothing else you can do about junk calls. there are just too many, they all flout the law, the govt does nothing and they change their numbers. solution? don't pick up. use call blocking. avoid aggravation. simple.
