Caller name: Caller Blocked
I have never answered a call from this number. The reason that their ID shows as "caller blocked is that I put them on my block list. So, when they call, the phone rings once and then it automatically hangs up. They used to call everyday. Then they stopped. All of a sudden, this morning three called three times in a row. Obviously a robo-call because it does not recognize that I have hung up on them.
I have no idea why they call but, based on all the remarks, they must be some kind of a scam.
If they are starting up again, i will report to the FCC.
Responded rudely when I took their call and asked them what they wanted... They have called for multiple months, many times daily and multiple times. It wastes my time and is so disturbing that they continually call me so frequently! My cell is registered with DO NOT CALL, too!
These people call me almost everyday on my personal line. I have answered twice - first time I just said "I'm not interested, please stop calling." They continued to call regularly. Answered again and asked for the company name. The woman quickly said something I couldn't really understand (Apstar? Astar?) and then asked for the owner. I said I wasn't interested and she proceeded to yell at me on the phone that I was being ridiculous for not even listening to what she had to say. I told her to put me on their DNC list and hung up. They STILL call me regularly. This is absurd.

Says they work for MasterCard and Visa and will help me recoup high rates from my current processor. They are basically trying to get my merchant account business. It's telemarketing. Don't fall for it.
I called back and their message said they purchase business phone numbers from Dunn & Bradstreet for business-to-business financial telemarketing. If you wish to have your number removed, follow the instructions.
I entered my phone number followed by the pound sign and my number has apparently been added to the DoNotCall List.
We shall see.
It's worth a try.
Caller name: APSTAR ? FINANCIAL
Wanted private FINANCIAL information, when I explained to David Chambers I was not giving him that info for the business, he questioned me as if i needed to 'answer to him'- then he told me I was being rude because I told him I was not able to stay on the phone any longer with him because I was the only one up front at our office. I finally had to hang up while he again was trying to get me to answer to him.
This is why I keep a a junk email address, if its slow enough, I answer, and give any old info.
They don't care about dnc. Plus, as a business, they don't have to follow it.
Half of these places don't even know what number there auto dialer called.
Called my business asking about me taking credit card payment online. I asked her if she was looking to pay for my product via credit card, and she said she was inquiring about taking over my credit card service (or something like that). Told her I was on no-call list and she wasn't supposed to be calling me. Then she disconnected.
Man called and asked to speak to the owner of a particular company, of which I have no affiliation. I asked him how he got the number, said I had nothing to do with that company. Instead of answering my question about how he got my number, he became very rude and condescending and told me to just disregard the call then. As if I needed him to tell me what to do.
Caller name: Not Sure
Just received a call and when I asked the caller to remove me from their call list, he started getting argumentative and saying that I didn't even give him a chance. I had to interrupt him to get him to shut up and told him that the business was dissolved and then he scolded me for not telling him that at the beginning... Took a lot to not cuss him out and sure do wish that I got his name!
Said he was with Ap Store and got my company name from someone named Jason Horn. Said he got our name as someone who had not seen the new credit card rates. He kept asking me to confirm my address and if we worked out of our house. Told him I was not comfortable speaking with him and hung up. He called right back but did not leave a message. Calling the Sheriff Dept. now.
Caller name: call id "Toll Free"
They call several times a month. They say they don't want to sell you a merchant account (credit card machine). They just want to help you see you can save money by doing a report for you.
How many times I politely say no thank you, the guy gets nasty and rude, trying to degrade me, and bully me into letting him talk to the owner, (he doesn't know that I actually AM). He tries to make himself appear to be very important and above me and that I have no right to make such an important decision, as if he is above me. They just want as much information as they can get so they can scam and fraud your bank account later.
This guy doesn't care if you yell at him, he gives it right back.
They call here once, don't say anything till I hang up.
Then they turn right around and immediately call back.
I've had a female, but the male is always yelling and rude when I tell him no thanks.
There needs to be in caller type a choice of "Fraudulent"
Caller name: Ken
DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO THIS PLACE! Told this person he has been asked not to call and that we are not changing credit card service companies, we just did a few months ago. I told him thanks and goodbye and hung up. He called me back and said I was rude and that I owed him an apology. I did not owe him anything.
Caller name: Toll Free Call
I received a call from 855-409-4569, TOLL FREE CALL today. I didn't answer the phone. This is one of three calls in the last two days. The first call was from CASH NET USA, the second call was from SPECIAL MESSAGE, which I found was for Obama Care survey and now from this number which seems like it's from APSTAR judging by the list of complaints above. My number is unlisted AND it's on the DO NOT CALL LIST also. I don't understand where all of these calls are coming from.
Caller name: The caller was identified by the number listed above.
I did not recognize the number but answered the phone and no one would speak on the other end. I said "Hello" three times and then hung up. I then looked the number up on Google.com.
Called asking to speak to the owner of the business. Asked if he was calling for a solicitation. He said no. I asked if I could let her know what the call was about and he refused to say and ended the conversation abruptly with "I'll call back later." I told him not to bother before he hung up.
Caller name: Fred
Very rude, laughed when I asked him to remove our number since we're on the Do Not Call List. Insisted he needed the owner's permission to do so. Said his name was Fred from AppStar. Who would want to do business with these people anyway??
Caller name: Jeff
This caller, sometimes Jeff, sometimes others, call at least 3 times a week, sometimes more re: something about credit card use for a business. We have told them repeatedly that we DO NOT have a business, but they keep calling. We are also on the DO NOT CALL list.
appstar called to have me switch to their credit card processing system. They wanted to setup an in person meeting.
I told them to take me off their list and for good measure I added them to my blackhole list. They have called before and now have a new outgoing number.
Caller name: Apt Star
This person was very rude and was calling to speak to us about a merchant account with them that we do not have. I asked to have my name removed from there call list and still receive calls from them. I have reported them to the do not call registry!
Caller name: Appstar
Called several times and never left a message. Finally, I called back. Company's name is Appstar. According to them, they purchase the telephone numbers legally through a company called Dun & Bradstreet. Their message states that you can place your number on the do not call list by following their automated instructions (i.e. enter 10 digit number, press #, confirm number by pressing 1). Hopefully that worked. We'll see if I get another call tomorrow.
Caller name: Silence
Called, but didn't leave a message. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, and let my voice mail picks it up. If it's important, they can leave a message, if they don't, then it's probably not worth answering in the first place.
Caller name: 855-409-2663
Woman contacted me on my business phone stating that I had been red flagged that my credit card company was taking too much interest out of what I was taking in and therefore I was going to be audited. The only thing I said was I was taking credit cards on my phone, and she promptly hung up.
Caller name: flash message on computer
A SCAM and a nuisance. To be flushed.
Whole computer screen flashes in red "WARNING: YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH 2 VIRUS ... such an such" You must call this number - 855-409-4235 - immediately to have them removed.
It came on 2-3 times without pattern. I have not called. I simply close the page.
I have a good and active anti-virus that does not detect anything wrong.
Caller name: not given
calls every day never leaves message and is nasty when you ask them not to call again if you answer.
was told they work with google
block this number I would not do business with these people
This is a professional scammer looking for sensitive personal and business information. They act as they know you and you need to answer their questions for some urgent reason. There's also a new thing that answering these calls or calling them back they can hack certain smart phones. Don't answer or call back.
A man calls and pauses a few seconds & says my first name, then asks if I am one of the owners of the company. I then said who wants to know then hangs up on me. This call is not settling with me at all. Quite eerie. Who are these people & what do they want? Do not give them any information at all!!
Called saying that they wanted to see if I was qualified for wholesale credit rate and that as I was someone from their business would make me an offer in writing 2 days later at 9am. It then dawned on me they were setting up an in person appointment in my home. The sales person was very confusing to understand and when I told her that she was not arranging an in person visit she hung up.
