Well, asking nicely to stop calling didn't do any good so I search around for a solution. I finally found an effective comment on Friday; a do not call request service at 866-246-7196. They provide this service only to a small number of companies that call consumers so first give the caller's phone number so they can verify it's on their list. Then give them the receiving phone number and they will add it to the do not call request list.
MEMBER AWARD MY ACHING BUTT. IT IS ANOTHER RELENTLESS BURGLAR ALARM COMPANY THAT TRIES YOU FROM A TON OF DIFFERENT AREA CODES. THESE ARE LOW LIFE GUTTER RATS AND THE SCURGE OF THE EARTH. THEY CALL AT ALL HOURS EVEN WITH SPOOFED NUMBERS. WHAT A BUNCH OFSORRY LOSERS THAT THEY HAVE TO RESORT TO HARASSING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DAILY IN ORDER TO SCAM SOME POOR OLD MAN OR LADY.
Yes, another "security:" company. I let the answering machine take the message....noting while I listened that no mention was ever made of the company's real name (if it has one). Wish there was a way to ensure the national do not call registry would actually intervene....
I"m so over all this ....it's so annoying
The caller's action is a form of Domestic Terrorism. Their intent is to defraud, mame, and do harm to the intended victim.
Fortunately, today's technology can immediately isolate and locate the initiator of these calls. The unfortunate resolve to this issue is that at present, law enforcement deems these calls more of a nusance than an actual threat, since silence bares no eminent threat of life.
Being placed on the National Do-Not-Call List, is only a free lunch ticket of numbers, to those who seek to cause harm through the use of this deviousness.
Robo call offering security system. Garbage! I am on my State and National DNC registry.
They need to be fined, lose business license, do jail time, forced into bankruptcy, relentlessly audited by the IRS, sent to North Korea to play basketball, and publicly flogged.
My caller ID showed the caller as Honeywell Security, a company I have never done business with. While the do not call registry is valuable, we all know it does little to stop these telemarketers. I decided to try something different and hope I annoy those jerks as much as they have annoyed me. My phone company has "selective forwarding".....meaning I can pick a specific number and every time they call they will be forwarded to a number I select. So...........I decided to "forward" the jerks to each other ! I picked one number among the worst offenders and then had everyone else forwarded to them !! Sure hope this works because not only will I not be annoyed by the call, but they get a little of what they have coming to them. You might want to try it, if you have "selective forwarding"
DNCL IS A joke. I receive numerous calls like these every day. If the number is out of my state's area code I just don't answer whether it's on my cell phone or landline,BUT, lately I've been getting calls from within my own area code and since I run a small business I have to answer those at least once.
It's a robocaller that plays a recording on repeat. The recording is of an elderly sounding man who speaks eloquently and "genuinely" to the unsuspecting call recipient.
The intention is to scare older people into feeling the need for a "monitored security alarm system" that they claim they will "install for free" in exchange for the placement of their sign advertising their product or service in your yard.
We had one come door to door, did it and found out the hard way, they want you to pay for monitoring. . . Expensive s**t!!! And it's contracted!! Even MORE expensive to get out of it!!
