Didn't answer but looked up on Google. Probably a debt collector but I've never had a payday loan. Remember no one is going to jail over a debt. Not even IRS debt as long as you file and don't lie.

This is very very scary...I am getting emails about some payday loan and that I owe money when I didn't even get a loan..I'm really scared ...they are sending me scary emails, threatening..how do I stop this.

Caller type: Unknown

Why are you scared? They have no power unless you used something of value as collateral (car or property title, etc). Most debts are so small they don't bother taking you to court. They want to scare you in to doing whatever they want. Block their calls & emails. I don't even open their mail, it gets recycled. Income & property taxes are really the only two types of debt that are legitimate concerns and they'll contact you for a long time before turning over to a debt collector.

There are only a few states that can send you to jail for a debt. Call your local courts to see if anything has been filed.

In the USA the business must provide you with proof of debt. Additionally a way that you can mail them a certified letter requesting that they send everything to you by mail.

Many of these "Collectors" have gotten your information from illegal websites or sold to them by other companies you have shared your information with.

The first clue is when they only accept prepaid cards or western union for payments.

Some colections are for Pay Day Loans you got that belong to Indian Reservations who do not have to follow our federal or state laws. Go to your legislators to get that changed.

If you need a loan go to a bank. If your credit is that bad correct your spending. No short term loans are fair as far as the interest rates and the payment schedules. They make their money because they know you will be unable to meet their terms. The you are worse off than ever. It is a horrible circle of debt.

Same type of letter sent to me. I was suspicious, because although the email address contained "US Attorney", his signature at the end of the letter, did not have his title. Also he stated that my wages would be garnished, which in my state, is illegal. There were various grammar problems throughout the letter as well. So, no. I will not be calling him, and no, he will not be garnishing any of my wages.
