Callers receive a message that the IRS is, after numerous failed attempts of trying reach you, filing a lawsuit against you for tax fraud, etc... It is garbage- when you call back (please don't) they'll ask you for all of your personal tax information.

PS- The IRS would never file a lawsuit without multiple letters/written correspondence first.

Numerous voicemails left by this number as a recording from the IRS stating they have opened an investigation into my tax returns and a lawsuit is being filled against me. Today I decided to give this number a call back and received a case file and badge ID's from the first officer I spoke to and then his supervisor. In all I was threatened with arrest, imprisonment, and fines unless I settled my debt right then and there. When I said I didn't have the money to settle such debt I was asked to transfer whatever is in my savings/checking account. Scam? I think so...

Got a recorded voicemail with no personalization whatsoever saying the IRS is opening a lawsuit against me for tax fraud. Total BS and obviously a scam.
