This person called my job and asked for me and told me this was an attempt to save me from being arrested by my local police agency. He told me that he was Sheriff in Lamb County and that if I didn't resolve this I would have to come inside a courthouse to take care of this. I asked him what company and he said that he represents hundreds of companies on line that loan money, I then advised him that I have not borrowed any money and sked him to give me a date he said it's been within the last year. It's scary because this person has my work info, my cell number as well as my social security number. Can nothing be done about this?

A guy with a heavy accent called to state that there was a complaint against me and that they were going to file paperwork with the sheriffs office to have me arrested. So, I asked the guy what the complaint was. He said you mean you have this action against you and you don't know? I said no, I don't normally have any problems with the police so I was pretty sure this was a scam. He said so you want them to come arrest you and I said well clearly if you have a debt against me, it is fraud, so yes go ahead and file it. Then we can get to the bottom of all this. He hung up. So, I called him back and asked him why he hung up on me. He said well you aren't going to pay it. I said no and I am going to also file a complaint against you. He hung up again. So I called the Lamb County Sheriffs office and spoke with a LOVELY person who took my info to add to their investigation.

This individual was claiming to be the Sheriff of Lamb county Texas, and said that there is a civil case going against me because I supposedly owed money to a payday loan company, (which i do not, and I have never been to Texas also fyi) and informed me that I would have a warrant issued for my arrest in my home county if I did not pay the settlement fee of $547 immediately or I could go to court and pay $7,000- 8,000 in court and legal fees to dispute the matter. This person had a bad Texas accent and you could tell that he was not originally from the state. He also refused to give me the case number that I was being charged with along with a badge number for himself. The FTC said that this man is a scammer and is not legitimate!! Scary that this person has my information as well so I put fraud alert on my credit account through Equifax and the FTC. Do not give any information to these people.

I don't know of any cases against me and I never heard from this person before. I believe that this is a call intended to put fear in the minds of the persons receiving such calls. Notice that they always want you to call back to talk to some one so that the worse can be avoided. You never know why you are beng sued but you should call back. I am still here at my office, did not call back and I will not. I think these people should be rounded up and jailed.

A message was left on my answering machine from some man claiming his name was Ricky Clark and he was a Lamb County Sheriff, and he was getting ready to process a arrest warrant in my state if I did not return the call. This raised an eyebrow for me because I come from a background dealing in criminal justice. I already knew it had to be a scam because it is VERY I MEAN VERY RARE for anyone to be arrested for a civil matter. I also know I don't have any debt. I immediately contacted the Lamb County Sheriff's department to find out they have received numerous calls about this scammer and this information he is providing on these fake phone calls as been turned over to the FBI. I then received a call this morning from the same number once I informed the scammer of everything I knew he instantly said I am sorry I won't contact you again please do not contact the police. I informed him with great joy TOO LATE!! He immediately hung up. Please if you receive any calls from this number 806-496-3434 or someone by the name Ricky Clark DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT disclose any of your information or make any payments to him. I was told he has gone global with this scam. I hope this helps!

I keep getting phone calls from Ricky Clark. He has threatened to have me put in jail. And also keeps changing his stories. He told me i had to pay $459.00 or i will be arrested. The so called name of the place where i got this loan was Cash now USA in Advance. And then added that he knew i didn't get the loan, but someone had all of my information and opened a bank acct, then as soon as whoever did this closed the bank acct. What can we do to make this so called Ricky Clark pay for what he's done to all of us? I have medical problems and can't afford to be stressed over this bs!!!! Every time he has called me it was a different story. THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED NOW!!!!!!

Caller left a voicemail stating he was a deputy and that there was an arrest warrant being issued for me. I was so upset and confused! I've never so much as even had a speeding ticket! He said that it was from this one payday loan company (which i have never heard of). He told me I can lose my job and all of this other stuff. He said if i paid such an amount they will not issue a warrant. After I got off the phone (and not giving them any personal info) i googled the number and found all these other complaints that it is a scam. This person said they were sheriff ricky clark but the man had a very thick foreign accent. I wonder how many people have been scammed by this!

Got a call AT MY JOB from someone identifying himself as the Lamb County Sheriff looking for my mother saying someone had a lawsuit against her and if she didn't pay money then she would be arrested. When I told him I couldn't speak for her he got angry and hung up. My sister called me in tears freaking out because he apparently called her cell as well telling her all the same. She is 15 so she was panicking. I looked up the actual Lamb County Sheriff and called them, they said they know all about this guy and have received mountains of complaints. Bunch of guys came at work looking for a name that they can not even say, pronounce or spell. My employer thought it sounded like my name or thought that it was closer to mine. I researched and called the real Lamb County Sheriff office and they told me that it is a scam, collecting money from people and claiming to be a real Lamb county sheriff in Texas by Fraud.
They call to people and go to their work claiming to be real Lamb county Sheriff in Texas and steal people's money.
Be careful folks from this kind of scams, don't give any kind of personal information because they are thieves looking for money from innocent people.
Next time you find this kind of incident, call 911 so they can get arrested.
