Got the same call -- "John" saying my medical alert system has been scheduled for delivery. I didn't realize it was a recording -- it sounded like just a dopey guy who was stumbling around with his pitch. What a SCAM! I live in SC and initially looked quickly at the area code and thought it was one from my state. Was ready to contact the BBB or County Sheriff's office to report it until I realized it was a different phone area code. If someone falls for this one, they kind of get what they deserve.

"Uh, this is John from shipping, your alarm is already paid for..." scam robo call
Caller ID: "Cell Phone CA"
also called from: (425) 406-9436 | (201) 499-0217 | (201) 367-1691 | (610) 755-8482 | (484) 483-6286 | (732) 510-5497 | (610) 257-7095
This one's slick, I actually thought there was a live person on the line the first time I heard this call. I could hear him flipping the pages of paper he was reading and I was all set to "play" with the caller when I realized that it was a recording. I wish I had a nickel for each time he said "...uh..." Following is the text of the recorded robo call...
"Hi, uh, this is John from the shipping department of Emergency Medical Alert, I was calling to uh schedule a delivery of your medical alert system, it's uh the "fallen, and I can't get up" type of system you've seen on TV. Looks like the system's been uh recommended by thousands of hospitals and medical professionals, uh, let's see, says here that the system's already been paid for. Looks like you're getting the system because uh either yourself, a friend, a family member or maybe even someone you know has experienced a fall in the past so uh again it's already been paid for so there's no cost to your whatsoever. Also says here that the shipping has already been paid for so to uh schedule the delivery of your Emergency Medical Alert System press 1 uh again to uh have your system shipped out to you press 1 now...press 5 to decline the shipment of your system...."

Caller name: John - Emergency Medical Alert
Caller ID also showed Cell Phone CA. Got 2 robocalls from this number today, at 1:50 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. local time. The same recording (John from shipping) as noted above by John. I've gotten this same identical robocall from several other numbers as well in the past.
When I hung up each time mid-recording, the number just called back, continuing on from where it left off!!
Caller name: Jim
The recording say's his name is Jim from the shipping department and that he has a Medical alert package to deliver, say's it's already paid for by someone that ordered this equipment that is a family member, but no name given. I sometimes get this call 3 to 5 times an evening and the caller phone number is different each time, ACS V Expans is always the ID shown on my telephone. Here is another number that this jerk uses.....347-753-9053. I intend to collect more numbers as time goes on.
Caller name: Unknown REFUSED TO GIVE
This is the SECOND call from this #. The first one they acted as if they were a "RECORDING" and kept going thru the script "Someone has already paid for the device and it has been shipped". SECOND call just now 4:22 pm was a HUMAN, refused to give name. I said NO I DO NOT WANT THIS AND NOONE BOUGHT THIS FOR ME. He said "Its already shipped to you". I said I DO NOT WANT IT. NOW, "GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE PERSON WHO BOUGHT THIS DEVICE FOR ME". HE HUNG UP. FEDDDDDDD UP. Also, calling my cell phone 4 times. PLZ STOP THIS. YES, you may be a medical alert company BUT the way you are approaching this is absolutely UNCONSIDERABLE to those of us who are disabled and on fixed incomes. This type solicitation SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR FRAUD AND FALSE CLAIMS THAT SOMEONE BOUGHT IT FOR YOU. If I receive such a product for them, I am just telling UPS OR MAIL CARRIER, "RETURN TO SENDER". Please STOP CALLING MY NUMBER AND SOMEONE STOP THIS PLEASE....
Disgusted, hurt and FED UP in GA!!!!!!!!!!
GOD BLESS whoever has this "company" for you will need it for searching for fame and fortune FRAUDULENTLY--God won't allow you to prosper by such means.
This is a complaint againt this number calling tonight.....but why is VERIZON allowing this to happen....they are the carrier. They should be responsible for going after them. They should know who is using their air time to make bogus calls. Just about every bogus call we get, if you try to return the number that shows up, it is a Verizon Wireless customer who does not accept calls.

Caller name: wireless caller
I answered the phone and I said who is this and he said kind of in a Jimmy Stewart sounding voice well hi there and hung up. it was weird. Maybe he was new at this a replacement I am on do not call list and on every telemarketer list imaginable because before i got this place a thousand business were running out of here and the employees did things I suppose and so did the owner. It's a headache.
Caller said I had a major problem with my PC and asked me to turn it on. It was such an obvious scam I just hung up.
Caller name: Didn't Give Me His Name
Called to arrange delivery of a medical alert system. I told him that he must have the wrong number. He said that someone had already paid for it and shipping as well. I insisted it wasn't for me, that there was some kind of mistake. He asked me if I was refusing delivery? I said it wasn't for me that there was a mistake. Then he hung up.
Caller name: John
"John" has called repeatedly despite requests for him no to do so because we already have the product he is allegedly selling -- Medical Alert -- from a legitimate source. Today when he called yet again I told him I was turning him into the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission because my parents' number is on the Do Not Call list and because I have spoken with people at Medical Alert who said this is a scammer. He starts out saying he wants to schedule the installation of a Medical Alert -- "You know, that 'I've fallen and I can't get up' device you've seen on TV?" He is obviously targeting elderly people and not everyone has an advocate to shut him down. Who knows what kind of info he is extracting from them.
