Claimed to be Verizon; called my cell phone and left pre-recorded voicemail claiming want to give me $45 and that "they cared about me." Gave my45verizon.com as a Website to log into; that name is registered b nicline.com, Spanish ICANN registrar, to Terri Gordon, but with a contact e-mail of firstname.lastname@example.org .
Caller name: Verizon
Got a recoreded message telling me abot a $45 credit, just log into my verizon45.com. What is wierd is the number registered in my caller ID as "Technical Support" but I have no such number saved. TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!
District of Columbia
Caller name: Verizon Wireless
Offered $45 off my bill if I logged into www.45.verizonwireless.com I called Verizon Wireless instead of logging in. The number really is a verizon phone number. They are researching now.
DON'T EVER GO TO AN UNKNOWN SITE AND LOG IN. It only takes 1 character difference in an address to lead you down the road to a scam/fraud.
Caller name: verizon
This was the second call I have received on my cell phone. First call was about a month ago. I ignored it then. An automated voice from Verizon,if I log on to myverizon45.com will receive $45 of next bill for being valued customer. Sunday morn( 8:35) 11/24/13.
Caller name: Verizon Wireless Technical Support
Just got the garbled pre-recorded call offering $45 off next Verizon bill by visiting MyVerizon45.com. Googled it and found this website. Both my wife and I got the same call. One of us is the primary account holder, the other a secondary. We will not be visiting the website. We are registered on the government's Do Not Call List. I will be reporting this to them.
Get a talking phone and it calls out the number that's dialling. Also add a ringtone each time they call so you know their nuisance calls. Funny thing is - I had one old guy about 80 phoning us. Must of hired great grand-dad
Yes it's a scam. I called Verizon Customer Service and it really IS their number. Apparently, the scam artists can change the display on caller ID to show this number instead of their fraudulent number. According to the Verizon Customer service agent I talked to, Verizon can't do anything about this! WHY NOT????? I'm thinking of dropping Verizon because I think this is ridiculous!
