Caller name: Time Warner cable I guess
Caller type: Survey
I had just called TWC to b***h about frequent reboots of my cable box - (@ 4 times last 3 days) ... last 3 during prime time. So i guess it was TWC asking for feedback on their off shore customer service - she confirmed my area was getting "firm ware" up grades from analog channels to digital ... so I suggested they do it all one time and they do it 2AM - 6AM rather than frequent upgrade pieces during prime time DUH!
She did not know how many reboots I could continue to expect but did say she'd forward the suggestion to limit reboots to non-prime time hours. she did have a nice positive voice & attitude ... and actually spoke good US language which is better than typical off-shore money saving employees over US employment.
So she was OK, just had the unnecessary responsibility of poor habits by her more senior company thinking and thoughtless management costing US jobs that might actually represent US customer feedback hopefully better.
Pay your bill on time and it won't call you. Pretty simple.
I don't pay on time, I let it roll a few months, doesn't bother me. But every month I can look forward to this number calling me.

Caller name: Oceanic Cable, Washington State
Caller type: Survey
Got 4 calls today (12/23/16) from1-800-846-8212. Nobody identified themselves; caller ID said "Oceanic Cable WA". We don't deal with any cable company from WA, but from Hawaii. I called the number back. The recording identified themselves as Oceanic Cable and this was "a very important call." Then they proceeded to put me on hold. I waited 10 minutes, then hung up. I wasn't going to wait around and waste valuable time for a survey from these people or whatever they wanted. When I called Oceanic for a different problem, they asked if I ever lived or had any cable in Washington state. I told them No, never had; I never ever lived there nor have I ever visited that state. Not sure how these people got my number and why they're calling. Others have reported it's for a Time Warner survey.

This number 800-846-8212 calls me at least once per day, waking me, rings once and hangs up or waits for me to pick up and hangs up. I'm guessing this is how their employees are racking up callout numbers. I hope they all die a slow and painful death.
