These people kept harassing my 12 year old daughter because she got a phone number from a file of theirs. 20-50 calls a day from various numbers... When I called to tell them to stop, they were very rude and didn't even try to calm me down, just told me it was me and my daughter's fault for not letting them know sooner..... I tried to tell them there was a law banning people to call that many times and they told me to prove it.
I am not having to change my daughter's phone number completely because of these guys.....
A lady by the name of Donna has been calling me from this number at least one or twice per week for the last 3 weeks and leaving voicemails as I refuse to answer. She says she is calling on behalf of Capital One Credit Recovery. I don't even have a Capital One card so I know it's a scam. The last time she threatened with "this problem is not going away and requires your immediate attention ". Anyone else getting these calls? She is using my name when she leaves messages.

Someone clearly opened a capital one card in your name and isn't paying the bill
a debt that is "written off" doesn't mean it's no longer an issue. The creditor has written it off their books so they stop paying taxes on it.
It is still due in full and still payable.
Even if you didn't sign the card, you still agreed to the terms by using it.

I have been getting these scam calls for for years. they tell you lies about your computer and try to get you to put in information on it but really the info they give you is a hack and then allows them to have full access and control of everything on your computer. DO NOT do it. If there is an actual issue with your computer nobody would call you from any company EVER! Call your provider do not let these lowlife lazy heartless scammers access anything of yours. they should get a job like the rest of us

I had my family get me a loan to pay off all my debt the woman at the bank ran my credit file and and we payed off all the R9's that where on my credit file and there was one that had been written of by the credit card company in Jan.2011. Now I ma getting harassing phone calls from them demanding I pay this debt not only at home but at work and it comes up as a private call I don't feel they have the right to come after me when the debt is no longer an issue. They are rude they tell me my bank lender was not doing here job and they have no right to make such rude comments. Is there anything I can do to get them to stop calling me and being so very rude on the phone I am tired of the harassing calls sometimes 5 to 10 times a day. I look forward to hearing from you and a solution to this issue.
Pretending to be from microsoft, telling me my computer is downloading hacking files in order to gain access
