I was looking for insurance online and while i was looking I get a phone call from I guy telling me he is a broker and will help me find insurance, he says he found me a Coventry Plan and went on to go over the benefits and then told me I had to apply over the phone.. I stupidly did, giving my family and I's personal info including social and debit card, it was when they had me do a long recorded versification process, that i realized something was fishy. So, I apparently signed up for some short term insurance they said was called HIC Group.
I tried to get someone to call me back after I just gave them everything and nobody called. I called this 800-594-4046 back and told them they were shady and I want my application cancelled and not processed. Now, I don't trust them and will have to go and cancel my debit card.. So frustrating and so embarrassing for me to have been suckered.

Was shopping for health insurance online - the next day, received a robocall from a local (414) area code saying my quote was ready, for more information press 1, to be removed from this list press 2.
Pressed 1, spoke with a screener with a heavy latino accent who passed me to this Mark who said he was with Simple Health. Said they were a multi-line agency with contacts for all the major insurers in my state (Wisconsin.) Asked a few questions, put me on hold, then came back with two options, one was a plan from Aetna costing over $1,100/month plus an enrollment fee, and the other, which sounded way too good to be true, a plan for a family of two for only $402/mo that covered just about everything except maternity and drug rehab (so it wouldn't qualify to avoid the Obamacare penalty) with zero deductible and cheap prescription drug copays, and only $150 enrollment fee, from Companion Life. Said they're a group insurer, and individual plans can only be bought through an agent. Asked for more info, said I'd have to apply for the plan and I'd get the info in email- that he couldn't legally send me anything up-front because they're an "enrollment center." Told him that's like "you have to pass the bill to find out what's in it," and said I was not comfortable with buying anything unless I could see exactly what I was buying first. Gave me this 800 number as a call-back with his extension 1015. Came here and found that it's probably a scam.

Got a call from this company after searching for different insurance options on the Obamacare website. Spent an hour on the phone and was sent to a "verification recording" so they could go over the insurance policy. Gave them my credit card because I fell for it and then was "disconnected" (hung up on). I called back and spent an hour speaking to 7 different "agents" and finally ended up speaking with a "supervisor" who was very rude, told me that prices go up by the minute and that I would end up having to go a year without insurance if I cancelled the plan. I knew then that it wasn't right and continued saying I wanted to cancel. He called me stupid and explained that I wasn't good enough for them anyway and hung up on me. Called my credit card company and cancelled the cards. Also have life lock from a previous scam. People are jerks. At least I caught it before they got a penny from me.

Wow... I couldn't believe I was naive to fall for this. My husband and I are moving state, called up our current health insurance provider and they informed us that they don't cover for our state (I honestly thought that was strange, but that's a different matter). So I was on the hunt again for a new insurance company. I went online and came across this site that said they were health insurance brokers and to give them a call to compare quotes.
I did, and funny enough when the women answered I was telling her the situation about our current insurance and she hung up on me (Red flag number one). So, I thought maybe it was just a dropped call and I called back, but the second time around I was straight to the point. The customer service agent asked me some "standard" questions, what type of plan are you looking for, what's your ideal budget, whats your yearly income (Red flag number two). I didn't give her any of this information but she said not to worry and she transferred me to a guy named Robert B (B is for bubble bee he said, what a loser)!
I told him about the situation I was in and that I wanted to be with a new health insurance company as soon as possible. He told me that he had a great package deal for me for $277.00 with a down payment of only $25.00. No deductibles! (Red flag number three). I told him that's a little too good to be true. He convinced me that this was a plan that business's use for their employees and that they offer these rates to special individuals who qualify. Never heard of this before... But at this point, I've been on the phone all day and just wanted to have a health insurance provider. He grabbed my information (like normal insurance companies do) looking back I almost want to cry. He asked for my birth date, last 4 of my SSN, my height and weight (Red flag number four).
He then transferred me over to someone who could barely speak English to read me off and record that I understand the policy I'm about to be given (Red flag number five), This took about 40 mins and as soon as I hung up, I KNEW these guys were scammers.
I immediately called my bank to cancel my card. Lo and behold, not a minute later, I get this spammy email saying that my card was declined and to call straight away to get my health insurance. What a bunch of kjfkjdfslkfjlkdj**#!!! I'm SOOOO glad I caught these a******s.
I did some research on the number they gave me to call back on 800-594-4046 and came across this forum. Happy to know I'm not the only one. PLEASE BEWARE of these low life scammers! Keep your guard up!

I asked for a quote from an ObamaCare website. I started getting calls from many numbers. When I called back to see who this was I found out it was to discuss health insurance. I had to talk to 3 people before they connected me to an "agent." He gave me information that sounded too good to be true $347.80 a month for a medical, dental and vision policy for a family of 4. (no deductibles) He told me the name of the medical insurance company is Companion Life and they have an A++ rating. This is true but they don't sell medical insurance. He mentioned Med-sense Association as the group plan. That is just a discount company for almost anything. Told me to look up multiplanppo.com Nothing. there is a website called multiplan.com but it didn't seem related. Robert called me back and left this number 1-800-594-4046 ext. 1094. After reading this I'm not calling back. SCAM

I was on the obamacare website searching for insurance since we are obligated to have coverage. Meanwhile, now I continue to get all these fraudulent / scam calls from agents pretending to quote from insurance companies that they are not really agents of. Thank GOD that I do my own investigations as numbers and calling these actual insurance company they claim to be giving these quotes for to make sure they are legit. However, thus far, none of them has been legitimate. How we suppose to get adequate insurance when we cannot trust the so call agents we are speaking with.

I was transferred to three different people after trying to get quotes from the obamacare website to find out the Principal Advantage Multiple Plan Network is actually Health Insurance Innovation which is a huge scam. Again, Thank GOD I am doing my homework before giving these people my credit card information. I just tell them that I will get back to them tomorrow and they try to tell you that they cannot guaranteed the quote, well ok, I will take my chances before I allow someone crooked access to my bank account.

Please do your own homework and Google these people before giving any information as now I sit with my laptop while I am speaking to these agents now so I can Google as they speak. Start with the number they are calling you from as you will be surprised the information that is associated with their number. Then asked them for the company's name as you will have to verify the information with the company as I found out today after verify a company call Ameri Quote that they do not issue insurance in my area; however, a person name Alyson number 253-204-3570 called me yesterday to try and get payment for insurance coverage using Ameri Quote as a company which is located in Colorado and I live in Pennsylvania. So please beware of this person and others like them as there is a huge scam going on with issuing of insurance.

Our government needs to get a handle on this as there are many of victims out there based on the complaints I have been reading.

I was directed here from the Health Pocket hotline (800) 984-8015. I was asked a few questions (city, medical conditions, date of birth, budget) and was offered an individual place in a insurance plan intended for groups (for $247.80, with an enrollment fee of $155) that sounded too good to be true (no deductible, no restricted network). I asked for the provider and was told it was "Wellness Package of America", which produced no useful matching results when I googled for it. When I asked if other options were available, he simply cited an Aetna plan with an actual deductible (and said others would be similar).

I said that I would think about it and call back, and the person at the end of the line directed me to his manager (Mark, I think?), who proceeded to ask me questions to try to guilt me into buying the plan. I finally asked again if I could call back later. I was asked if I found the plan too pricey (evidently so as to try to get me to buy it), but I said no and was given this phone number 1 (800) 594-4046, with the extension number 1043.

By the end of the phone call, I was very suspicious and looked it up and ended up here.

I live in the Detroit area. They called my (248) are code a little after 9AM today. I work part-time (as a physician) so, when ANY of these scumbags call me, I like to prank them back and waste their time. It was the standard setup. A Latina or Filipino lady spoke with me briefly, and then passed me on to the roper. The man said his name was Matthew Perris, and he gave me the above 800 number, in case we got disconnected. We spoke for about ten minutes. I gave him a phony birthdate, phony address, and, actually, he "searched his computer" for a low-deductible PPO (I admitted that I had an ACA Bronze Plan.) He then put me on hold (why is it that they always use the same Classical music piece??) and told me that he didn't have anything for me. Perhaps he checked me out and knew I was BS-ing him back. He said he'd call if he found anything. Usually, I drop the Bomb on them and say "I just wasted your time-scammer" but, I just thanked him and hung up.

And, Never, EVER give them your real info-especially not a Debit Card!!

If you just hang up on them or blow them off, that doesn't deter them-the robocall machine calls ten million/day anyhow. It's by wasting even ten minutes of their time...that HURTS them, and keeps them away from the Demented and halfwits who are their mark.

i've been called 2 different times by this company.the first call was 10/15/16. the first time they game me all the details of the insurance plan told me it was 255 a month. when i asked if they could email me the policy to look over they said their computers don't have internet. that they are linked in to the health insurance providers. when i told them i was looking to get coverage by the first of the year (3 mo away) they said i would have to reapply. coverage changes to often and new polices are coming out. i said OK ill wait then. then they tried to push for a sale. when i told them i needed to see a copy of the plan they said to call customer service and they could email it to me. i said OK. got their info and called customer service. i was on hold for 25 min. then they told me they had no way of looking up what plan i was looking to buy.
then today 11/3/16 my phone rang and it was them again. i didn't realize until later when i looked at my call log. exact same speel. when i asked to look at a copy of the policy they sent me to www.firsthealth.coventrycare.com. i looked it up tonight there are no plans for individuals to purchase. total scam
the number they called from was 360-783-6373

Called from health benefits center, for health insurance. Want to set me up with Companion Health Ins. which has good ratings. The customer service with this health benefits center really sucks, you try to tell them something and they just hang up. Guess I'll just call companion health insurance to see if I get anywhere. OBAMA CARE SUCKS. Sheri was the only one who wasn't rude and really tried to help, But just try to get them to get you back to her ext. IMPOSSIBLE
