Got call from this number from foreign person claiming I owed money & was told they would freeze my bank accounts and issue an arrest warrant for me if I didn't pay today. They had my address that I haven't lived at for over 3 years. When I said If you are the irs then how do you not have my correct address since I do file tax returns every year. He stated its because hes in a different department. He could not give me a straight answer of how or why I owed this money. He got a little short with me & then said he would transfer me to his supervisor. While I was being transferred I looked up this number & saw that it was coming back as an IRS scam. When the supervisor started talking & I tried again to ask what & how exactly do I owe this money he couldn't tell me. I then said well this number is coming up as an IRS scam, He then hung up in me. The IRS using would send something official in the mail & they wouldn't hang up on you if you question them of it being a scam!

Called said he was an agent with the IRS and that they had found fraud on previous tax returns. Said a local constable had a warrant with my name on it and I would be arrested in the next two hours and would be facing jail time. Also stated that all my assets would be frozen. Read me some statement stating which laws I had violated.

I called # back (but nit from my own phone) and the person could not even speak English. I asked what type of company it was and he said "I am IRS". Complete scam as this # was not even on any IRS contact list. I am a fraud investigator and have access to these #'s.

Man on phone claimed to be IRS stating that I have 5 counts of miscalculated income and asked if I have a lawyer. Upon my stating that I do not conduct business over the phone and to send information via US Postal mail the man hung up on me.

I got a call that I didn't pick up because the number looked like this on my caller ID +7 (862) 090-53-8 and said it's from Russia. Then immediately I got a voicemail from from automated recording saying there's fraud on my account. I didn't even finish it. REEKS of scam.

This is a scam! Same exact scenario as a complaint listed above - I got the call today, I got the same voicemail stating that it was urgent and there was "a fraud and misconduct on my tax that I'm hiding from the government and this needs to be rectified immediately." Pure scam, I didn't return the call.

left an automated message claiming multiple fraud issues with my tax return, with a return number for me to call. This is clearly a scam, because, it just is. This is definitley a scam, because the IRS would never show that level of respect. Actually calling the individual directly? no way.

This is a scam! I got the call today, I got the same voicemail stating that it was urgent and there was a fraud and misconduct on my tax that I'm hiding from the government and this needs to be rectified immediately. So I got the call today and this guy answers, "pulls up my account" and starts going on and on about how I have three criminal allegations about me pertaining to miscalculated income. He starts telling me if I disconnect the call, the order will be sent to the courts and I could pay a $20,000 fine. Initially, I thought it could be legit-so I'm talking with him, asking questions and telling him that I need them to send me documentation in the mail. he wouldn't let me get a word in, I had to stop him and tell him hey, you called me-this is the first time I'm hearing of this and you aren't letting me get a word in. He tells me the address he has on file, I told him well that is a very old address. I gave him half of my address and he "transferred" me to his manager. So I ask his "manager" the same questions-what year is this in reference to? Why am I just now hearing about this? He tells me that I should be calling the IRS to update my addresses. Oh really? So you're telling me they can't see it from my W2 and 1040 that I file every year huh? LOL he tried to be slick and read off the address I just gave his "colleague" and I told him NOPE, no way you sent me anything because I just gave him that address to supply me with documentation in the mail. As I'm continuing to talk and poke holes in his story, he tells me to shut up. He says "god, can't you shut up, shutup!" I said ok, let me speak with your manager. He says shut up again and hangs up LOL

I cannot believe the lengths that people are going to right now SMH
