CBV is a debt collection agency. They perform debt collection services for many different companies, including TELUS.
In view of their office being located in the business-centre of Vancouver, they pay very high rent, therefore do not concern yourself with their threats to take you to court, as they do not sue anyone, they can't afford the upfront court costs, and they certainly can not afford to lose their court-case should the Judge side with the defendant.
Also if you are not employed, then you are not suable, but you do not have to tell them that. In fact you do not have to tell them anything, and you do not have to call them back if you choose not to. Also there is nothing they can or will do if you put the telephone down on them.
If they are serious about suing you, they would do so.
I have been getting calls from this number literally 10 times a day.
Saying i owe money, once i made the payment, they call me to tell me that i haven't made a payment? so where did my money go!?
i have got these harassing phone calls at 7am all the way up to 10pm! after work hours!
Has been calling over 5 times per day for 3 months claiming they are a collections agency looking for my fiancÚ. They refuse to tell me whose behalf they are calling on, and so I refuse to tell them how to get in touch with him. My fiancÚ does not owe ANYONE any money. How did they get MY number?? I have no idea why a collection agency would be calling me. I had to Google the # just to find out who was harassing me. They were calling every half hour from 7am to 10pm and I work graveyards! I had to turn my ringer off. They should not be allowed to continue to harass people like this.
I get calls from this number all day, from the time when I wake up (usually it wakes me up) until the time i go to sleep. They never leave a message. I don't want to answer because I'm worried it's a scam, but finally I called them and a voice message said I would be connected with a customer care representitive, and nothing happened. I have called my phone company and they are not able to block the number, the only thing they could recommend is that I change my number. I wish this would stop!!!
my moms house gets calls about 10 times a day from them asking for me... I always would answer and no one would pick up. so i decided to play their game... i called them and muted my phone so they would know what its like. I finally called and said that I will be suing them if they do not stop calling... did that stop them? nope. Today, I called and said that the person they are trying to reach has moved out of province and they need to stop contacting the number they were calling. now just to wait and see if they do it again...
I get 4 to 10 calls per day. It's an intrusion I have decided I can't do much about so I try to ignore it as best I can.
I do not want to change my cell number. It is used for business.
The shear number of calls and the incessant daily bugging is not an acceptable form of communication. It is badgering and bullying.
My cell provider will not block calls. I have put these boneheads on black lists and other registries. Software apps will answer the call and decline it for you. I can do that too.
Buying receivables at fire sale prices does not give this company the right to bombard people with unsolicited bugging phone calls.They need to stop calling me.
Our own government and many major companies sell their receivables to CBV Collections on Richards Street in Vancouver to do what they consider dirty work. They should be ashamed of this practice of sending in electronic thugs to threaten people. This is wrong.
