Calls received multiple times each week. PITA wasting cell minutes and everyone's time -- can't wait until they get nailed. Someone should complete their offer to gather the specific details and then post that info here.

Then you have to pay to report it also BS. Total B S !

The usual scam call. Starts with a robocall, press 1 to talk to a live operator who hangs up on you when you ask them to stop calling. Report these creeps:

I have calls from 62 different numbers, and as they come in I add them to my blocked call list, this one included from all over the U.S, all from Card Services or Ann or Jenny or Linda or numerous other names they use all offering the same "Service" to lower your interest....

But first you need to give them your personal info so they can contact the companies on your behalf.

If you don't know the number don"t answer. If they don't leave a message don't call back, if you do it tells the computer that yours is an active number and that's when they sick the wolves on you, calls will come from everywhere

If you have a smart phone go to play store and get Call Blocker, an excellent app and it's free
.
Because your number is on the "Do Not Call" list doesn't mean a d**n thing.

That list is a joke. File a complaint and it goes nowhere. Another Bureaucracy set up to give somebody's relative/friend a cush job.

A way to stop these people could come from the Credit Card Companies. The Security Dept's need to set up a sting. Set up fake accounts for the sole purpose of being compromised. They can see in real time what's happening on the "sting" account. Send in the law.
as it's happening..

I get this call a couple of times a week. When I answer, it is Rachel from card member services, blah blah blah, I can lower your interest rate on your credit card. I have pressed 1 to be connected to a rep several times and told them to take my name off their list and it does no good. Why doesn't somebody blow up these doofuses and do the world some good.

I've been getting these calls for the last year or two and they constantly change numbers. You can file all the complaints you want, but they never stop. My solution; Now I start wasting THEIR time. I talk to their customer service people and give them false information until they realize their being had and hang up. Fight back, it's the only thing you can do.

Answered a call from 775-410-1104. Recorded message from "Ann" to say I could lower my credit card interest rate and to press "1" to speak to a representative. No option to press a key to avoid future calls. I pressed "1" - hoping to tell them not to call me again and say I'm on the Do Not Call list. The phone rang for about a minute and then I was disconnected. I called the number back and there was a message, with a lot of static, about subscribing to Magic Jack by visiting MagicJack.com. It went on to say "This number has not been assigned to a customer. If you feel you have reached this number in error, blah, blah, blah." Then the phone disconnected again!

When I pick up the phone to check the scammer it hangs up or it's a recorded message saying its 'Credit Services and I'm OK and we want to lower your crummy card rates' Strange; I don't use or have credit cards anymore, just use debit cards.

You can register your telephone number on the National Do Not Call Registry.

The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free.

I get the same calls. The call was from "card-services" If you google the phone number, there are a number of entries out there for the same type of call. The call presents an opportunity to "reduce your interest rates". They ask for a bunch of personal info promissing to reduce the rate, then request a specific CC number to reference your account when they negotiate with a card company. I provided them a fake number. I assume they tried to buy something over the internet. They said the card wasn't valid. They tried to run the card again and then hung up.
The only thing you can do is waste their time as much as you can.

However, I did call the number back and got an auto response stating the number was from Magic Jack. Currently, providing MJ the information for them to shut the device down and turn off the phone number. MJ said the phone number was registered to a "Roger". Here is a complete transcript of the "chat" with MJ:

Please contact the authorities and file a legal complaint. Then please have them chat us here directly so that we can provide the necessary information they need and do the necessary active.

Randy: action**

Bryan : Now that you have knowledge of criminal activity, I believe you are obligated to shut the device and number down. If not, then MJ is conspiring to commit these crminal acts. Please provide me with the contact information of who the authorities need to contact in order to pursue this.

Randy: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.

Randy: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.

Randy: Thank you for waiting, Bryan.
I understand your concern. However, we have to investigate this issue we need the information from the authorities as well so that we can do the necessary action. We need enough proof to deactivate the account or the appropriate action and enough information from them.

Bryan : Ok, so please provide me with the contact information of who the authorities need to contact in order to pursue this.

Randy: I will be right with you.

Randy: I appreciate your patience.

Randy: Please contact the local authorities in your area or in your City. Then file a legal complaint to them. If they will need information about the phone number, please have them chat us here directly and we will be willing to cooperate and provide them the information.

Bryan : I understand what I need to do with the local authorites. However, they are going to want to know who I talked to at MJ and how they can reach them. That is what I am asking, what is the contact information for them to contact you and/or who is the proper person to contact and how do they get a hold of them, i.e.: what is the phone number for that person?

Bryan : I will be reporting this locally. I would also like to know the local of the call (it came from area code 775, but what is the real city and location), so I can report the call to those authorites as well.

Randy: I apologize, but we only do chat support at this time so we cannot provide any phone number. Please have them chat us here directly. They can keep this ticket ID: LTK554090237469X as a reference to this chat and ask for a Supervisor right away so that they will be transferred to us.

I understand your concern, Bryan and we appreciate you bringing up this issue.

Bryan : They will need a phone number. What is it?

Randy: We'd love to help you by phone but as of the moment we only do support on chat. Please have them chat us here directly.

Bryan : It's not for me. I'm not going to call you. I am satisfied that MJ has recognized the problem. My request is for the authorities to contact you and interview you about this phone number, its owner and the activiites conducted. Certainly a chat on this thing is not sufficient for authorites.

Bryan : Or am I talking with someone it Israel?

Bryan : Can I have them contact corporate headquarters in West Palm beach at 561-722-0433?

Bryan : Of the CS number at 561-594-9925?

Randy: I understand your side. As much as we would like to provide you a phone number, we only do chat support at this time.
We have phone support for billing issues only, and the phone number is found in your bank statement.

Bryan : I'm not a MJ customer, so the phone number doesn't appear on anything for me.

Bryan : You don't understand my side. I get at least 5 weekly phone calls from criminal using this exact same method, "card services". I am more than irritated.

Bryan : All probably using your product.

Randy: I apologize for the inconvenience that you have encountered. However, this is the only support we offer (chat/techsupport) other than our billing department.

Bryan : Thank you for your help today. I hope that MJ has shut the number down.

Randy: I will be right with you.

Randy: We will have to investigate this issue first and we also need the information and confirmation from the authorities.

Bryan : And if not, I hope that you take this opportunity to use the terms of the EUL to spy on the number to gain insight to the criminal activity now that you are on notice.

Randy: Please have them chat us here once the compliant has been filed. They can keep this ticket ID: LTK554090237469X as a reference to this chat and ask for a Supervisor right away so that they will be transferred to us. We will be more than willing to cooperate.

Bryan : Thanks.

Caller type: Telemarketer

SOOOOO sick of these calls. I get them on my cell & home phone. "Press 1" to find out how... So, I press 1, ask them how I can get them to quit calling me, and they just hang up! I have family in NV - anyone know where this company is located?
