Caller name: Hang up call

I do not own nor use Magic Jack." This call came to my cell phone 1-17-13 and there was no answer but dead silence when I answered . I looked up the number and found out is was from a "magic Jack" place. I am on the DNC .gov list for years and updated as required. I want to be left alone from this company calling my number. Thanks!

(My Caller ID read: 7754101104 then phone number 775-410-1104). The scumbags seem to call me on Fridays. I have an answering machine as well and let the machine answer it, they never leave a message. When I pick up the phone to check the scammer it hangs up or it's a recorded message saying its 'Credit Services and I'm OK and we want to lower your crummy card rates' Strange; I don't use or have credit cards anymore, just use debit cards.

I've been getting these calls for the last year or two and they constantly change numbers. You can file all the complaints you want, but they never stop. My solution; Now I start wasting THEIR time. I talk to their customer service people and give them false information until they realize their being had and hang up. Fight back, it's the only thing you can do.

I get this call a couple of times a week. When I answer, it is Rachel from card member services, blah blah blah, I can lower your interest rate on your credit card. I have pressed 1 to be connected to a rep several times and told them to take my name off their list and it does no good. Why doesn't somebody blow up these doofuses and do the world some good.

I have calls from 62 different numbers, and as they come in I add them to my blocked call list, this one included from all over the U.S, all from Card Services or Ann or Jenny or Linda or numerous other names they use all offering the same "Service" to lower your interest....

But first you need to give them your personal info so they can contact the companies on your behalf.

If you don't know the number don"t answer. If they don't leave a message don't call back, if you do it tells the computer that yours is an active number and that's when they sick the wolves on you, calls will come from everywhere

If you have a smart phone go to play store and get Call Blocker, an excellent app and it's free
.
Because your number is on the "Do Not Call" list doesn't mean a d**n thing.

That list is a joke. File a complaint and it goes nowhere. Another Bureaucracy set up to give somebody's relative/friend a cush job.

A way to stop these people could come from the Credit Card Companies. The Security Dept's need to set up a sting. Set up fake accounts for the sole purpose of being compromised. They can see in real time what's happening on the "sting" account. Send in the law.

Everyday around the same time I get this stupid call o my cell phone. I do not even answer the dang number anymore. What good is a DO OT CALL list if these DA continue to call the same number that has been placed on the government's list. I have tried to report this number and all I get is the d**n runaround. They tell me I have a chance to reduce my interest rate. when I press one I was connected to a real person and she asked me if I had a credit card with a balance of more than $3000. I told her I don't even have a credit card and she promptly hung up.

so they called on 1/22/13 from 775-410-1104 and when i tried to talk to someone they hung up..... on 1/23/13 the number was 425-390-8130..... once again i tried to talk to someone and was hung up on..... i tried to call the numbers back and they were disconnected and magic jack respectively..... i am on the do not call list which evidently means squat.... I have reported these number to the FTC.... i cant understand how anyone can work for a place like this... i hope that these telemarketers get calls themselves... and i hope the owner has a stroke on his daughters wedding day.....

I receive calls from this number and about 5 other numbers I have for about 4 years. If you click to talk so somebody they just hang up unless your giving them personal information once I got somebody to tell me to just quit asnwers the phone and they will quit calling but they call from different numbers all the time.

When I receive these calls I hang on the line to speak with a live person. Then, depending upon the gender of the person, I 'talk' with them and try to engage them. Amazing how far I get with my 'talking'. By the way, don't try this at home unless your partner is ready for some fun time! >;-)

Answered a call from 775-410-1104. Recorded message from "Ann" to say I could lower my credit card interest rate and to press "1" to speak to a representative. No option to press a key to avoid future calls. I pressed "1" - hoping to tell them not to call me again and say I'm on the Do Not Call list. The phone rang for about a minute and then I was disconnected. I called the number back and there was a message, with a lot of static, about subscribing to Magic Jack by visiting MagicJack.com. It went on to say "This number has not been assigned to a customer. If you feel you have reached this number in error, blah, blah, blah." Then the phone disconnected again!

REPEATED CALLS ..... as others have complained

The number 775-410-1104 is truly in violation of the Do Not Call by State and Federal, without any recourse.

HOWEVER -

MAGICJACK is responsible to ensure the owner abides by applicable local, state and National rules & Regs. MJ should monitor calls, and any in excess of usage 20 times the average MJ user, and is clearly a violation, and MJ NOT doing their job according to their own TERMS and CONDITIONS .... Section 6


6. Proper Use
You agree that you are responsible for your own communications and for any consequences that arise from them. You agree that you will use the magicJack and/or magicJack Plus device and magicJack APP in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules and regulations. This # calls me nearly every day. The offer is to lower my credit card interest rate. When I try to speak to someone, to get off their list, the guy hangs up on me. I would sue them for harrassment if I could.

Same BS as the other 100000's of consumer complaints... Nothing happens to the company; and we, the us tax payer is left holding abusive phone call.. I have written the phone co. I have written my senator and my representative; I have filed the complaints with the FBI, FTC and NC Atty general... Nothing.. I have an open case with the local police dept and I txt the sgt that has my case, everytime I get these a******s call.. And it just get added to the list of many... I don't know what else can or should be done.. From a consumer stand point someone has do something drastic.. I am on the verge of committing an act of insanity should they ever be revealed and not to mention the company be put out of business.... Please.. STOP calling me and leave me the h**l alone.. Let me waller in the 10000's of dollars of credit card debit I have amassed since I have been unemployed and on welfair. I really appreciate the fact they are looking out for me to reduce my rate but I kinda of enjoy making the banks ultra rich bypaying them the extorted rate of 26.9% interest and then having them assess me a $75 late payment fee because I paid my payment at 5:01 PM on the day it was due.. Whats not to enjoy.. Please.. put me out of my misery.... :-)
