The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received several complaints about Medicare scam calls from 773-454-7186. The LIVE male caller said he was calling from Medicare and needed to confirm the last four digits of the victim's Social Security number. The scammer had the victim's name, address, phone number, birth date, and Medicare ID number. THIS IS A SCAM. MEDICARE WILL NEVER CALL YOU. SOCIAL SECURITY WILL NEVER CALL YOU. Report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov), and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org). DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS. Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs). If you see that Medicare has been billed for medical services, equipment or prescriptions that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org) and to Medicare (1-800-MEDICARE, 1-800-633-4227). PLEASE NOTE: Social Security has also launched a dedicated on-line form at https://www.ssa.gov/fraudreport/oig/public_fraud_reporting/form.htm to receive reports from the public about Social Security-related scams.

Once again marketing abuse contacts me. Made mistake by accident of answering previously. To sum up the call I was told Medicare would be cancelled if I didn't speak to representative. Why is nothing done by regulators to prevent this. They're either too lazy, could care less, or don't want to deal with it.
