I had some non AMERICAN call me saying he was with the Treasury Dept of the IRS and that I owed the IRS money. I told him that I didn't owe the IRS s**t and if I did then I would have been contacted by mail first of all. He told me that I was contacted by mail and I told him that no I was not. He told me that there was a warrant out for my arrest and that the police would be at my house in 45 minutes. I told him that he was an idiot because if the police were coming to my house to arrest me then they definitely wouldn't want me to know that so I could run. I asked him over and over to put someone on the phone that speaks english and he refused to do it. So I hung up the phone and looked the number up online and what do you know.. IT WAS A SCAM. Wow go figure! These morons needs to find something better to do than harass and lie to people trying to get their hard earned money that they worked for. Hopefully no one falls for this.

Ok, well I am REALLY getting TIRED of getting these STUPID a*s calls from these NON-AMERICANS claiming to be from the IRS TREASURY DEPARTMENT!! I hsve received probably at least 5 or 6 calls thus far and from, I believe 3 or 4 different numbers. ALL calls sound like the same NON-AMERICAN man claiming that a warrant has been issued for my arrest regarding my 2012 taxes and that in couple hours the police will be at my home to arrest me. The last 3 calls I have gotten from these idiotic pains in my a*s I have told the caller to STOP calling with his SCAMMING BS and that he is full of c**p that I will be arrested. I told him I have YET to be arrested from the prior 4 calls I have received already. He started stammering then I just told him to "go fly a kite" only not in so many nice words and HUNG UP on his dumb a*s. I now have 4 different numbers on my blocked list in my phone. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!! HOW DO WE STOP THESE HARASSING CALLS??

Fake IRS call, They said I cheated on my taxes and they had a warrant for my arrest, if I did not pay $1785.83 then $1475.35 (they forgot) then I said I only had $11.00 because I just paid rent. He asked how much I had in my bank I didn't know but and he would wait till I went to my bank, he told me not to talk about it to anyone or the deal is off (Ha Ha LoL) then I kept him on the phone as long as I could, he started yelling at me, I said "I have the police tracing this call" and that he was going to jail for fraud and impersonating a government employee and harassment at least 3 felonies a minimum of 3 years in a federal prison and up to a $50,000 fine, after some threats He hung up

The guy called up and mentioned, he was from IRS and was working on with Federal dept.. He confirmed my DOB address which was correct. However, I cross-questioned him to confirm his identity. As his voice was breaking I didn't get his name clearly. . He continued, if i received any docs from IRS or Federal government. He said me how much balance do I have in my bank account. And then he mentioned exact amount (close to my bank balance) and said i have to pay to IRS if I don't wanna go to prison. As it never happened to me before, so i got scared why this happening. Then he said go to nearest Walmart and get a cash and transfer through some means of money transaction (which was untraceable). Then I googled and realized it was a fake call. Also once they feel that you could be convinced , they keep calling you from different numbers .

I recently learned that they collect your name and address and number from the Job sites. So in case you posted your resume at some place they collect your information from there. Please list of the websites where you posted your resume and we can all come to a conclusion for the further action.

Similarly a guy called me too, and had all my information, and tried to rob money similar way as describe by others. Somehow they have access to my area police station phone number and one person called from police station number to confirm, that I have arrest warrant, and they are coming to arrest me if I don't co-operate with IRS office. Also police office (fake) also said my phone chip is on surveillance and they can find me where ever I am rightnow. Something should be done against this number or group, otherwise they might rob some innocent people money.

A guy called me up. Spoke in a harsh tone. Said he was from IRS . He confirmed my DOB which was correct. Said he was sending local police officer to arrest me! Said he'd mailed me some documents and wondered why I havent seen it. He looked up my number and said accurately my work location and said he was sending the police there at my workplace. I asked him to confirm his identity. He told his name and some random ID. I asked him for his address and asked details about the what he was calling about. He kept saying he'd mailed me me something and I havent seen it yet! at which point he hanged up.

I received a call from 760-592-2085. He knows my name. He said that an arrest warrant has been issued under my name. Since I was aware of those prank calls, I just hanged up saying 'Ok, Take Care'. Thanks for letting me know.
I am really surprised if an arrest warrant has been issued under my name then why those guys are informing me earlier so that I can run away. Really funny.

Caller type: Prison/Jail Collect Call

My wife got a call from this number 760-592-2085 yesterday and the person said that he had an arrest warrant on my wife's name. She asked what the charges were. He asked "do you want to know the charges? are you outside? reach home and some of our officers will come to arrest you". My wife told him that he might have the address and could send his officers and she would reach home and call her husband (me) as well back home from office. He simply disconnected. Nobody turned up anyway.

I called up local police department and informed them about this call. The lady suggested me to call up 877-792-2873 to register a complaint. It's a DEA (Drug Enforcement and Administration) customer service number. You get to hear recorded messages, you just have to press correct options and describe clearly what happened to you and hang up. Not sure what they do with it further but at least I registered a complaint about this number.

The number is listed on Yellow Pages as IRS number so the prankster was probably trying to extort some money out of me. Beware!! Don't fall prey to such calls. Don't share any personal information like address, SSN, bank account details, etc. It's tax filing time and we will see more such calls. Take care!
