In fact this is a USAA contracted agency called PSI that is running telephone surveys. If you feel uncomfortable providing any kind of answers over the phone ( which is totally understandable ) ask them to mail you their questions directly. These days its hard to trust these telemarketters

Caller name: PSI for USAA

Caller type: Survey

... if they only ask you for information that is on file, then why call at all? Why not just send me a message through the USAA website like they do for mortgage and investments? Ask me to go to the site, login, and then take me to a page with all the data fields they need reviewed, and ask me to verify/edit, and then require me to check on a "verified as accurate" radial button or something? I do not like the calls and it is so easy to move to others these days. 34 years of USAA'ness would be a shame to toss in the bin, and my wife's account and both teenage kids account would migrate with me.

Now look at Professional Survey Inc's (the caller's) website professionalsurveys.com and you can see the first item under performance is "Identifying policy uprate potential". They are all about bringing in incremental income to their clients like USAA.

Caller name: USAA Update Auto Policy

Caller type: Unknown

I agree. I am sick of them calling me every year to "ask me some questions to update my auto policy". I don't want to take 5 minutes out of my busy schedule to do this every single year. MY POLICY HASN'T CHANGED. IF IT CHANGES, I WILL CALL YOU. How hard is that? If I have to pay a little more at Progressive to avoid being called every year during the Holidays to "Update My Auto Policy", I will do so. Just leave me to my business.

I'm a USAA member..this was one of those calls to 'verify' your mileage and such. However, I'd rather them mail me the questions or email even. I don't 'answer' calls I don't know.

this number keeps calling my cell phone, which is pay-by-the-minute.

I don't give ANYONE outside my family my cell phone number, which is used exclusively for genuine emergencies and family matters. I am a longtime USAA member, but have not given USAA or any other business permission to call my cell phone. I resent the intrusion on my time and privacy.

I have no problem giving service feedback to USAA, I just don't agree that they hire outside people to conduct these surveys. Why won't they mandate their own staff with the task? I am tired of all these company outsourcing and then we , the consumers are completely oblivious as to whom we are really speaking to

It was from USAA asking about my cars mileage and driver information, I was hesitating in answering their questions but they knew too much info about my account, seem legit. I also checked my account after I spoke to them and they updated my mileage and info.

The same information I have to update every six months when I renew my policies.... Really stupid time consuming waste of my energy. How do we stop PSI ??!! They (PSI) call at night and when I don't answer and its goes to voicemail they let voicemail run for at least 1 minute of silence? I REFUSE TO TALK TO THEM. They are an outside company that I do not wish calling my private cell phone at ANY TIME and I am about to telephone USAA to make sure they update my DONOT SHARE, SELL OR ANYTHING ELSE WITH ANY OF MY INFORMATION ON FILE TO ANY COMPANIES OR PARTNERS OF USAA.
Another reason I will not answer questions is when I bought my car new, I drove very little. It was not far to work and back and it took me 10 minutes. When asked how many miles I drove a year? I Told the rep it was very low around 5,000. I Had my car 3 years by then and still DIDNT have 15,000 miles LOL. I HAD ALSO DONE A LONG TRIP TO TEXAS FROM COLORADO AND BACK ON A WEEKEND WHEN A FRIEND DROVE FOR ME. The RUDE rep insisted that there was NO WAY I HAD LESS 15,000 miles on my car and stated that the average person puts between 18,000 - 20,000 miles per year on a car. Ok this is in the year 2004 as I bought my NIssan Maxima new in 2001. I LOL on the phone at the rep, said just because I am a woman, I am not STUPID and I do know how to read and I know how far I drive and how many miles are on my car I am also not blind, no offense to anyone. The Rep stated THATS IMPOSSIBLE YOU HAVE TO HAVE MORE MILES AS I TOLD YOU WHAT THE AVERAGE PERSON DRIVES PER YEAR, to which I replied I am not the average driver which excuse me PISSED THE REP OFF. Anytime I would go into Nissan to to an oil change etc, the Manager would always come out to check the mileage and ask if I wanted to sell it or trade it in for a new model 😊.
I Refuse to answer questions that people have no business knowing and then treating you like you have committed a crime when your answer does not suite them.

This number always comes up unknown - if they are calling for a legitimate reason then why block who they are? I belong to USAA but will never talk to these people. And as far as opting out for this kind of thing with USAA - I have and have always opted out and they still call me. Always at night to and always 8 or later.

PSI contracted with USAA for this survey. Guess USAA is too busy to do their own leg work. I did get a letter in the mail and it would have been nice if they would have included the phone number they called me from. I don't answer unknown numbers and only called them back after I saw the other comments on this site. Way too much info out there. I have had other insurance in the past and have never had to answer questions like these.

I received a call today from, what I assumed was USAA as I was alerted by phone a week ago that they would be calling to update our information. I told them that nothing with my information had changed, thanked them for calling and hung up. I then noticed I had received a call on my cell phone from an area code I did not recognize. I typed the number into the internet and immediately panicked when i saw that the number was attached to USAA and thought I had been hit with fraud! After reading the complaints regarding this number, I have to say that I feel the same way and am disappointed in USAA for using another company to obtain the information without notice this would occur. In today's world, when fraud and spam are rampant, this was unacceptable and I am disappointed in USAA.

This Survey caller from PSI is very sketchy. Questions ask to update Auto Policy? USAA after all these 20+ years we outsource to this. I was not even the policy holder no less and asking me questions how the policy holder employment, cars ,where we drive, etc. Can they track the vehicle do we have a tracking system, etc I asked for information in the mail to be sent warning us they need update and what happened to using USAA online and doing all your Insurance needs and updates.

I received a call a day or two after USAA had sent me a letter staing that I would receive this call. I am certain it is genuine, they do it every so often ( have had USAA 40 years), however I wish they would allow members the option to provide this information by mail instead and opt out of phone calls.

BTW it totally sucks that this site is using advertsing as a verification code here!!!

You get these calls because you have not OPT out of sharing your personal information, by law USAA "can" sell your personal information if you FAIL to OPT OUT, go to USAA online and OPT out.... USAA has sold your personal information to PSI so PSI can exploit you... or do what I do I call them and annoy them.......... it's fun........ keep calling them back waist their time!...... I like to think as long as they are on the phone with me I'm keeping them from calling someone else!!!!
