Got call from this number, best thing I have done, unplugs the phone, it continues one long ring once over reconnect phone. It's an inconvience , but let the caller hear the continued ring. It's gotta be scammers!

Haven't answered yet. These buttholes have been calling every hour on the hour. From noon till 9. I think I may write a script of my own for the next time they call. If I can't stop them I might as well have some fun.

Claimed to be windows support. Microsoft support will never contact you out of the blue. Don't give them credit card information or download any software they claim will "fix" your pc.

Called us 5 times so far - not always the same person. You can hear others in the background pulling the same scam. Yesterday they said they were in New York, today Salt Lake. They tell me something is wrong w/ my computer, need me to turn it on so they can download to my hard drive. They have a script they read from, that's clear.
I've tried not to get frustrated, instead....turned it around on them and took up as much time as possible from them. Boy do they get frustrated...I was able to keep one guy busy for about 45 minutes before he just hung up.
Tonight, I told him that I have no windows computers, they are all Macs... and boom, hung up on me. Somebody has got to get ahold of these knuckleheads before some people get ripped off or I.D. stolen.

Caller name: Could not understand Broken English

I was able to understand that they were calling from Microsoft Support. Swearing and talking about their mother does not work with these idiots. The calls come several times a week and I use the same ugly language to discourage them not to call again but they always call back. Who are these nuts?

In response to: Christine

This number called me twice today while I was in school in class. On the second time that my phone ranged, I quickly picked up to see who was calling me and it was the same number as the first time they called.. It was 1-000-000-0000....I picked up but didn't say anything, because I wanted to see if they will talk, but as soon as I picked up and answer my phone, they hung up. So I came to this site and fortunately, I guess it's a scam from what the comments says.. Thanks for this site! :)

Caller name: Would only say he was from

These scammers/fraudsters call several times requesting to check your PC
for viruses.
They are only looking to gain access to your computer to get your data to commit fraud. Once they get your important data they will s***w up your PC to render it
unusable. They will get your passwords and take away all your money and create
fraudulent charges on your credit card accounts.
Don't even talk to these fraudsters..just hang up on them.
They say they are from "Windows" Just tell they you wash your own windows
and hang up on them. These people call from India where they can escape the arm of the law. Be smart---just hang up on them.

I get calls every often from these guys, sounds like someone from India. They say there is a problem with my Windows system.... I usually tell them I use Linux/Ubuntu, which I do a lot of the time.

The other number that called me on 3/29/2014 was 800-226-2266.

After I get 3 calls from the same number, I log into my AT&T U-Verse account and block that number. So far I have 35 on my list and have blocked 4 so far in the past year.

We receive these calls several times per week, they claim to be calling because there is a problem with my computer and they need to help me fix it. Last time, I told them I don't own a computer. The guy was incredulous! You don't own a computer? I said, that is what I told you. I then went on to tell him that I knew he was a scamming thief and to quit calling. I didn't hear from them for a week, but now they are calling again!!! I wish I could get rid of them somehow.
