Numbers with this prefix were first introduced in 2009.
While 7172193317 was originally issued with the info above, the owner of the phone number (717) 219-3317 may have transferred it through a process called porting.Caller type: Unknown
They called my cellphone. When I attempted to call back their phone didn't even ring. So I sent a text asking 'who they are, what was their reason for calling & why doesn't their telephone ring'. No answer yet. If I don't get an acceptable answer by the end of the work day I will be adding this # to the Federal govt. 'Do Not Call' registry complaint service.

See Veronica White's comment. Exact event will me.
I need to receive another ambulance chasing attorney call to go after the Do Not Call List violators. Now that's a telemarketing call worth receiving... after more thought... naw.

so called "research group" calling about YAZ. I'm on every Do Not Call list available. If you get a call from this number and are on the National DNC list then go to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and file a complaint. They cant take action unless people make complaints.

From reading comments on another website it is a "research group" seeking information on the birth control Yaz. They should be reported seeing as how many people stated they are on the do not call list.

Like many of you, we have received the recorded messages.
I've had our cell phones and home phone listed on the National Do Not Call Registry. If you haven't registered your phone numbers, I suggest you do that now.
Now, if you have registered & continue to get telemarketing/recorded msgs/etc... then you can go to the website at donotcall.gov & file a complaint against those companies calling you.
This is what the the Complaint section on the donotcall.gov site reads:
"1.You may file a complaint if you received an unwanted call after your number was on the National Registry for 31 days.
2. You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).
*Reminder: Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company. Click Here for more information about the companies that may continue to call the numbers on the Registry."
There are many states who have their own Do Not Call websites as well. If you search online: the name of your state and do not call list, then you should find your State's website.
OR you can go online, find your State Attorney General's office (or call him or her) about the calls being received to file a complaint. Trust me, no company wants a State Attorney General's office contacting them (and with the State's looking for money anywhere these days due to the poor economy, the State Atty Gen offices may have a fine to slap on these companies...)
I know it is another step for us to take but it may help us, or someone else down the road, by filing the complaint.
Trying to help and keep all of you informed. God Bless all of you!

I have found that of you let the calls go, do not answer, they decrease.Over the past several years, I had several a day and trying to get off "their" list does no good. Let them go.Now I look at the caller if I am around and if not recognized, let it ring. They never leave messages. My calls have decreased a lot...Less than two a week now...
I stopped complaining to the registry as it does no good. Waste of time and money that registry.

No message left. looked up number.Comes from PA registered to Dominic Compani...
If you used TNID website, it will give you tele number info.
Being on the DNC list does not help as these morons use software that changes around the numbers and difficult to track. For other nuisance calls, the lists still does not work and a waste of time. Not sue whose bright idea to set up the registry but it is a waste of time and money...

Noticed a missed call and new VM on my cell (on no call list). VM recorded partial pre recorded message about "you might being eligible for compensation". I deleted without listening to rest of message and added number to my reject list.
