Caller name: Irs
Caller type: Debt Collector
I received a call from (716) 206-3218 from Mrs. Cybulski, operator number 1000621054, requesting information from a former client of mine. She said she needed to verify both my and my clients' information before she could talk to me regarding my clients' account. She gave me a legitimate IRS contact number *800 (829) 7650 - IRS Levy Hotline and reference number 0015948716.
Since I have POA the IRS would have sent a letter to both my client and myself before initiating any phone call. I told her I already have POA and she called me, so I would get the information and call the Levy Hotline>
Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
caller claimed to be IRS and to call back on a toll free number by end of day and left a case number. I owe irs nothing and know for a fact,IRS does not call you they send a letter if they need something from a tax payer. this number is all over the internet with complaints, with the same scammer info going back to 2013 and needs to be shut down by the phone company in charge of the account. .IRS NY would not call another state for collections also, if anything, it would come from DC or the resident state of the tax payers. Many complaints from other sites also state they called the toll free number left and they are put on hold excessively and are asked for last tax return info and/or ssn's. total scam and fraud call.
