Caller name: Some Guy From A "Tax Crime" Place.

Caller type: Unknown

The first call I got was automated. The man's voice was very hard to understand. I called the number back and he knew it was me right off. He even asked me "Is this ******??* I said yeah. He told me his "name" (He sounded from another country, couldn't make out a lot he said..)
He told me he needed to read something off to me and that it was being recorded and that I wasn't to interrupt him. I didn't. He said that there was a possible warrant out for my arrest due to Tax fraud and back taxes to the sum of a little over 1,300 dollars. While he was talking to me, I was having my boyfriend google the number to see who it was...
After I listened to him, he told me that he talked to his boss (he put me on hold) and his boss told him that he couldn't accept payment over the phone but could direct me to the IRS website to pay my debt. I said okay, before I do that though, It is within my right to contact the IRS to verify this.." He started getting irritated, repeating my name over and over (three times) and said "You don't have to call anybody. There's no need.." And I said Ohhh yeah there is.. I'll just call the IRS to verify real quick.." He said no need to call anybody, I'll connect you to the local sheriff's office. I said okay! :) He came back on the line and said "I'm trying to connect you to the local sheriff's office there in your town, please stay on the line so that it won't get diconnected. " I said okay. :) He went away again and the phone "disconnected".

Same as all of the above. Also said he was part of the American Federal Police Department. I couldn't stop laughing...which seemed to anger him immensely. He finally hung up on me

This person woke me out of a sound sleep with the call to begin with. I ignored the call and figured it was nothing I needed to look into. Then when I saw a voicemail I thought ok I better check this out. Turns out it was this Eric Foster character who read me the same phrases as above, but did not indicate anything about why he was calling. I did try calling back and the recording said your call could not be connected at this time. Definitely a scam. How did they get my number and I thought we were protected from this sort of thing.......

Called and left a voicemail claiming to be "officer Eric foster". In the message he told me that I or my attorney needed to return his call or all he has to say to me is "good luck". I immediately searched the number. Didn't get much too much on the number, but when I searched the name, I see that these people use different numbers. Definitely scammers. Don't call them back or give ANY personal info. Wish that there was some way to stop people like that.
