These jerks put a number sequence in the caller ID in an effort to hide their identity. They start out with the robot saying this is a very important call about your credit card, etc. they are huge pests and continue to call, with new revolving numbers to get past the call-blocker. Although they are using a bank of numbers rented from a vendor in Athens, GA, they could be calling from anywhere and booting it through that exchange. What enormous pests!

Only two days have gone by since their last barrage, they changed only the last digit of their number so they're getting past my call blocker. I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final notice..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number.

Caller name: (They gave one, don't remember)

The automated part went as already noted (2nd and final notice). Since I recently got the phone number, I pressed 1, and got a male voice who gave, at least a first name. I told him that I recently got the phone number, and then asked him what bank issued the credit card.

RUDE CLICK! The guy hung up, without saying anything more! Now, the only thing I wonder: Because of my calm, friendly and matter-of-fact way of responding (it COULD have been a prior owner of my home phone number, in North Carolina), they MIGHT decide I'm not one to repeat-call.

Note that I'm being charitable, saying this is a telemarketer. I wouldn't be surprised if they want enough information from you to steal your credit cards from you. (I can hear it now: "To lower your interest rate, I need your SSN and Mother's Maiden Name". [BARF!])

Calls everyday. I am sick, half blind, renal disease and sick of all these calls. I am sick, half blind, renal disease and they let it ring and ring, At least I don't ever answer a call I do not know. Someone who is able I wish could get to the bottom of this. Thanks everyone.

This phone number (706)-805-1779 came up on my called ID. Since we were not able to answer the phone when whoever it is called, the call went into voice mail and they hung up.

The Caller ID was Hartwell GA

I checked online to see who this phone call was from and saw all the notes about fraud. So I also am reporting it.

They have called my home 100 times at least. I have tried pugs in whatever to stop notifications, I have held and spoke to a real person and asked to be taken off list since I haven't paid credit card interest in 25 years, they just hang up on me without saying a word. So sick of them!

Call came on my cell which is on the DNR list. Registered it again last night. I press ignore when I do not recognize call. They left a message, very short one, could not understand what they said so I just deleted it. Wish they would not call.

Same as everyone else, usually only get the end of the message on my answering machine, but was home today to hear the entire message, Press 1 to speak to a representative.... Last chance to lower your interest rate as it relates to the stimulus.. blah blah. Calls about 2-3 times a month, for quite some time now.

Called back the number (in Athens Georgia) pushed "1" to speak to a person. Female was cold and wanted information, when I was not forthcoming with personal information, she became angry and threatening. I asked her to please take me off of their call list, she said she would think about it, then hung up on me.
All who get calls from this number I urge to call or email the AG's office of the state of Georgia. After enough of them come in to bother someone, action should be taken on the state level. Also, notifying the county sheriff, state police, city police all can exert pressure.

I can get 2 calls a day from this number. When I "press 1" and speak to the representative to ask to be removed from their call base, I've been laughed at or told "good luck." I've no interest in this service adn feel their calling pattern is abusive!

I see the number on my caller ID, lift up receiver and immediately hang it up.
I've relisted my number on do not call list but nothing stops these scammers.
I believe that list is overworked and overfed. It is ineffective nowadays. Much like other replies, I too have spoken to a "live voice" by pressing #1 (for further information) and get their hang up. As long as my eyes are still good, I will continue the quick pick up/hang up routine...the calls gradually subside.

Listened to recording and when you wait a live female came on the line. When I asked who's calling they hung up.
Each and every one of these calls I get, probably a half dozen a week I report to the national DO NOT CALL list. Not sure that is worth anything but hope everyone else does the same.

ASKS IF I HAVE MORE THAN $2000 OF CREDIT CARD DEBT. I ASK WHAT CARD OF MY CARDS THEY ARE CALLING FROM. THYE INDICATE THEY REPRESENT MASTERCARD AND VISA I ASK IF THEY ARE REPRESENTING ANY OF MY INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTS. THEY SAY NO. I SAY DO NOT CALL.


I HAVE A DO NOT CALL ON FEDERAL REGISTER SO THEY ARE MAKING ILLEGAL CALLS.

THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED, FINED AND SHUT DOWN.

Just got a call from this number at 1am! Caller ID stated call was from GA. I dont know anyone in Ga, so I let my vm catch the call. No message left. Looked up the number and now here I am. Obviously not a legitimate company to make cold calls at 1am on a Sat morning!! Added to my call reject list.

when i pressed #1 (to find out more info) i was disconnected. i called the number back and option 2 allows you to opt out of future calls. you are also told to press 4 to hear information about the "governing body" that regulates these calls. goes into FCC/FTC rules about how people are contacted and how to make a complaint. must have been fined. I put my name on list. we'll see!

These calls have nothing to do with the current credit card I have through Chase. Every time you answer a diferent marketer tries to convince you to cancel your old credit card in favor of a new supposed lower interest card. The fact I pay my charges in full each month and have not had any interest charges in years makes no difference to these telemarketers and if you try and tell them your number is on the national donotcall list they hang up......

Credit Card Services is non-compliant with asking them not to call anymore. 11 times I've listened all the way through the automated portion to get to a representative to request no future calls. 2 times I was told they wouldn't call back. 9 times I was hung up on.

I'm on the federal DNC list.
They refuse to put me on a DNC list. (they just hang up)

From now on, I'll just push "1" to speak to a representative and keep them on the line as long as possible. They keep wasting my time, so now I'm going to start wasting theirs.

May be a telemarketer, or even possibly a scam. Don't know because the four times I tried to tell someone to remove our number from their calling list, they slam the phone down. Whoever they are, they can't be legitimate or they wouldn't behave like morons. I'm sick of them calling - daily or every other day for the past 2 months. I want to file a real complaint and I want them fined and or jailed if necessary. This is harassment, and if they lived down the street from me they'd be in jail by now. I'm sick of these lowlife imbeciles being allowed to enter our homes. Do something PLEASE.

I am receiving calls from this number as well as other numbers that only want to sell something. I am really getting tired of getting these calls. Isn't there something that can be done about this problem? I do not answer calls that I don't recognize as being familiar to me. I get these many times a day and I am not able to get to the phone many times due to illness to even see if it is someone I know. I will not let anyone else in my family answer these calls when I can't.

I have also informed them that my number is on the Do Not Call Registry at which time they promptly hang up. Well today I have reported them to the FTC and I suggest that all past and future receivers of calls from this number and company (Cardmember Services) do the same.

Say they want to lower my credit card interest rate. I have tried two different tacks with them. One was asking them what credit card company they represent and second to please take me off their call lists. Either tack results in them hanging up on me. The phone calls are relentless.

This company keeps calling me and when I ask for the name of their company, they hang up. They know they are fraudulent and are scamming people for their personal information. I am on the do not call list and they call every week or so and hang up as soon as I try to get their info. If you call the number on caller ID, it is not a valid number. These people are professional thieves and I really hope people are not so stupid as to give them their information.

Very irritating, annoying calls from incredibly rude person who refusesto identify herself and the company she represents.

Have been receiving calls from this number for months, sometimes multiple times per day. An automated message comes on stating this is my "final notice" "as it relates to the financial stimulus" to reduce interest rates on my account. It instructs the recipient to press "1" on the phone's keypad to find out the rates and terms to consolidate their accounts. I don't carry any credit card debt to begin with, so this is a random robo call.

I received one of these calls on my answering machine, and 30 minutes later another call from this number came in. This time I answered it and pressed "1" to speak with someone. I heard a recorded message stating I was being placed on hold and that I was caller #14. A couple of seconds later a woman came on the line. I asked her the name of the company she was working for, and she responded by asking if I had pressed "1". When I replied that, yes, I had and that I wanted the name of the company she was calling on behalf of, she again confirmed that I had and that I wanted the name of the company. She promptly hung up on me.

Following this incident, I called the number and received a recording. Thankfully, there was an option "2" to be placed on a no call list. I also attempted to speak with a live person to complain about the behavior of the telemarketer, but could only leave a voicemail.

BEWARE OF ANY TELEMARKETERS WHO REFUSE TO IDENTIFY THE COMPANY THEY REPRESENT!
