This number has called my home OVER AND OVER again. We tell them to stop..they won't. TODAY a man called and my fiance answered and told him to STOP CALLING THIS NUMBER. When he said that the black man said, "WHO THE H*LL YOU THINK YOU ARE CRACKER? YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE? I HAVE YOUR ADDRESS CRACKER"...now, WHO can we report this to and get some ACTION. I don't use racial slurs and I hate these telemarketers. WHY can we not get this stopped?!?!

Same message as first reported. I asked what card she was calling about and she said Visa/Mastercard. I told her those were two different cards and she said Visa or Mastercard. I asked if she was calling about a current credit card and she hung up on me.

Robo call recorded 2 December 2013 ("Lower your interest rate...second and final notice..." )

Caller ID: "Hartwell GA"

Also called recently from: (706) 805-1776 | (360) 322-6708 | (616) 980-2164 | (616) 980-2063 | (616) 980-2030 | (616) 613-2228 | (616) 613-2199 | (215) 383-3414 | (415) 333-9999

Only three weeks have gone by since their last barrage, they changed only the last digit of their number so they're getting past my call blocker. I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final notice..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number.

"<female voice>This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

Thanks to Google Voice ( www.google.com/voice ) you can hear this recorded robo call on my Spam Calls web page:

These people are credit card thieves. They have asked me for my credit card number, and they emphatically refuse to give me a number where I can call them back. With good reason, because then law enforcement would be able to find them. They also break the law every time they call me because my number is on the Do Not Call list, the call is recorded, and they refuse to identify their real phone number.

If you want to jerk them around and waste their time (but not yours), pretend interest. Tell them you owe upward of $10K, with interest of 14% or more. Then, when they ask for your credit card statement, tell them you have to go find it. Then eat your meal, read the newspaper, or whatever. String them along to keep them on the line. Then end with the bum's rush where you ask for a number where you can call them back. When they refuse to give you one, pretend surprise and ask, "Are you a reputable business? I don't do business with people who don't have addresses or phone numbers. Maybe you are really a thief; if so, never call me again."

These people are awful. I answered the phone and pressed one to talk to someone, and the person I talked to refused to answer any of my questions. So I hung up and she promptly called me back and cursed me out. She told me that I just opened the door to h**l. Great, scammers are going to harass me.

This company calls using an automated dialer and a recorded message and (in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) no operator on the line. They claim that they are calling because you qualify to lower your interest rates, but do not even know if you have qualifying debt when you do get to an operator. They also claim that this is your second and final call - neither of which is true. They will continue calling until they get shut down. When asked, they provide an address in Wilmington, DE, but give a TN ZIP code. When asked for a phone number, they hang up (the TCPA requires that marketing callers provide a phone number when asked). This is quite clearly a scam, with TCPA violations from the start and a refusal to provide basic contact information that 100% of legitimate companies will gladly provide.

I actually talk to them and keep them on the line until they finally hang up on me. Maybe if I keep wasting their time, they will quit wasting mine?

Data to use:
$20,000 in debt over 2 cards.
19.9% interest rate on both cards.

You will qualify for their service and be sent to another higher-up person.
They will want to verify your name, phone, and address. If you are not unlisted, then they will have this info already!
They will then want to verify a phone number on the back of your credit card.
I tell them I don't have that info with me and they hang up.

I will try using this number next time:
24-Hour Cardmember Service: 800-558-3424
I got it by Googling "cardmember services".

Good luck!

I've been getting the same recorded message offering credit card debt reduction from this and other numbers for several months now. I finally waited for the completion of the message to speak with one of their operators and said I was on the do not call list and wasn't interested.

The continued calling so I contacted an operator again and was told "We don't have to stop f*****g calling you." They continue to call at least once a day.

Received several phone calls from this number with a message to call because it was my last chance to lower my credit card interest. I dialed the number and I got a gentlemen identified as Gene Patterson, ID. 2287 indicating that if I had credit card debt for $3,000 or more they can help me reduce the interest on my Visa/Mastercard. I did not give him any information and he insisted that I look at my credit card to verify the account number. I told him that I did not carry my credit card with me only when I needed to use it. He then asked me if I was at home and I told him NO. There was a moment of silence and I told him that I forward my house calls to my cell phone number. He then gave me another number (800) 847-2911 and he told me that when I get home to look for the credit card and then to call and ask for him because he was the only only authorized to give me the rate reduction.

My business has been getting phone calls from this number for months, despite several attempts to remove the number from the list. It's always been annoying, but this call in particular was the most ridiculously insulting and unprofessional thing ever.

After getting the robotic "This is your second and final notice..." message, I pressed "1" to speak with an agent. I requested that my business' number be removed from the list. The "agent" on the line responded with, "Okay, you can just go ahead and call this number, it's 1 800 go f**k yourself."

So, that was great.

They change the name but not the game. It's a scam and it's never going to stop. Why, because they spoof phone numbers. Many of these groups have their operations based in another country so the do not call list won't prevent them from calling. Don't ever answer and make sure you don't press 1 for a live person (unless you want to mess with them) cause then they know they have a valid phone number and will keep calling.
