Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

A man was saying he is from technical support and asked me how I was doing. I repeatedly get this call every day. The phone 1-704-727-7581 called me again at 9:38 am on 09/02/19 and I told this person to take my number off of his list. I am reporting this to believe it is a scammer and fraudulent.

I did not say anything or let him know I was a person at a real phone number. He figured out I was a real person and tried to call me 3 more times that same day and 3 since in the last week.

I heard him begin talking but did not answer. Based on the comments above, he is after Social Security numbers and/or wants to get a Credit Card number he can exploit.

These people should be investigated by the FBI and locked up. I bet he has scammed 100 people out of money already.

Just got another call from "microsoft". You know bill gates is worried about us little people. The # was 704-727-7581. The guy said his name was "Allan". I didn't let Allan control the conversation, I did. I asked all sorts of random off the wall questions. How Bill Gates was doing? Was Allan ready for Christmas? Where he lived? How was the weather? I never gave him time to get to his scam. The more time you waste of theirs, the less money they can make scamming people. Oh, Allan had enough of me and said he had to go... poor guy!

He kept insisting my computer stopped getting updates from Microsoft two weeks ago and needed an ID number, which I obviously said I didn't have near me. He called again so I told him repeatedly I didn't even have a computer two weeks ago, Microsoft wouldn't call me because they auto-update, I asked him questions about the brand and operating system I had, he didn't know, he has ALL my personal shipping info so I listened and he insisted I write down a number on a paper, I wrote it down just to fish for more info but I have a feeling it's a virus or something. I asked him if it was because I took it off S-Mode, he seemed confused, and I could literally heard him typing to google what that was. He then read the definition. I told him several times how much this seemed like a scam, but honesty I was kinda confused if it was because I only have Apple but someone else just bought me a Microsoft computer for work so that's why I listened, and I wanted to know how much he really knew.

Call came up unavailable. Had been advised not to answer if I did not recognize #. Have been phone spoofed x2 in less than two months. I previously reported last month. Phone company FTC and FBI notified by my carrier. Had also been scammed on two previous occasions. Just DO NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE IF NUMER IS NOT RECOGNIZED! SAYS UNAVAILABLE. REPORT IMMEDIATELY TO YOUR CARRIER IF YOUR PHONE # AND NAME SHOW UP AS IF YOU ARE THE CALLER. These people are evil and ruthless!
