They called and said that I entered a raffle 1 YEAR AGO at the state county fair and I won 4 days/3 nt tickets to Las Vegas that I've never claimed last year. After talking more to them about the winning prize and other lotteries I will enter upon arrival, I will get an extra $100 dinnner gift certificate for attenting tomorrow nite. Sounds GREAT! But, they don't know that I attended one of these earlier this year, but they were Global Travel - to invest your travels in thier owned company instead of booking through the internet and other sites. Thing about this, you sit through a 90 minute class and they want you to purchase $15, 000/year a one time fee in their company and you can travel anywhere you want. After getting up to leave, they had a sales rep come back in to stop us and drop the price to a WHOPPING $9.999/year. Oh, they will break it into payments for you too. WHOA!!!!! No thanks! I don't want it and I'm not interested. We did get the free gift card to dinner, but ONLY at selected restaurants on their list! Some of the places that weren't really good to eat at. Like hamburger places???? We did get the free trip to Maui, HI and can use it up to a year. We 1will see???? We have to pay the taxes upon booking.... Beware...
I only know one person in the Vegas area and I phone them using their Google Voice phone numbers. I'm speculating but, I think if others have called a Google Voice number like I have, you may be receiving the calls as a result.
I didn't recognize the number, so I did not answer. Looking at this site ( Thank you for this website!), I see from other entries that the caller is most likely Global - Gold Rush Travel. These same people left a voice-mail on my girlfriend's phone with some bogus story that she won a contest. She and I both entered a raffle at the Alameda County Fair almost two years ago. Apparently when you sign-up for the raffle there is fine print on the form that gives them permission to sell your number to the telemarketers. It does not matter that your number is on the Do-not-call list, they have your permission once you sign the raffle form.

A woman called from this number and told me that I won a trip to Vegas and San Diego. The firm name was Gold rush travel. She said that I have enrolled in a raffle at Sacramento country fair and won this trip. I said I did not enroll in any raffle and she started saying that my wife must have enrolled both of us :) ...I said I will double check with her ...and she said she will call me later again ...

I received a call from a LV number. I answered but no one was on the other line. That's been happening a lot lately. I've also been getting calls from weird numbers from blocked numbers so I had a block put on my phone. I have been getting calls from a company indicating that I won a travel package from some raffle that I entered at a Strawberry Fesitval last year. I asked them to stop calling but they keep calling anyway. I decided to Google the number and found this site. Makes sense. Don't sign up for anything at any festival or fair...otherwise, these relentless marketers will blow up your phone as well.

I get calls from this number several times per day. I quit answering but, instead, simply lift the phone handset and set it back down, effectively answering the call and hanging up at the same time. Reportedly from the Las Vegas area. It's annoying, at best. If you insist on answering when they call then do what so many of these types of callers do, and that is to not say anything, just listen. It's better if you cover the mouthpiece so that they can't hear any background sounds. Who says we can't have some fun with these jerks call? Have some fun with these clowns. Turn the situation around and make them NOT want to call you.
Call several times per day, usually right after or before calling my husband's cell phone. It's from the money grab people. Where you have to sign to try and be one of those people grabbing for cash in the clear air blowing boxes. After my scan tag didn't win I asked about calling my cell phone... Since they also have my husband's cell. Guy was a real jerk and said yes, if I just gave them my number then they will be calling me too.
I have been receiving calls from this number daily as I see most of you have as well. Since I don't answer numbers I don't know they go to voicemail. Today (6-23-14) they left a 40 second voicemail that was nothing but a lot of talking in the background. For 1 I live in Vegas, 2 I've never entered a raffle using my cell number, 3 I'm on the "Do Not Call List". I would really like to know how I can get whomever they are to stop calling me!
I tried calling the number on another phone- no answer. you hear a recorded sales pitch you have won a prize".
It's ok they can keep callilng all they want- I now know what the number is and just won't pick up, plus my voice mail doesn't work, so they can't leave a message :)

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM GOLD RUSH TRAVEL, AT 702-476-1300 I HAD BEEN SELECTED FOR A CRUISE FOR TWO, OR A TRIP TO VEGAS OR OTHER NUMEROUS DESTINATIONS, NOT SURE WHY I WAS SELECTED HONESTLY, DON'T RECALL ENTERING ANYTHING. IT'S ALL BOGUS, THEY WANT YOU TO SIT IN ON A SEMINAR AND TRY TO SELL YOU A VACATION CLUB MEMBERSHIP, IF I COULD AFFORD THAT I'D TAKE THE VACATIONS WITHOUT THEIR HELP!

I received a call saying I won a raffle at the car show I attended last weekend. I did attend a show last weekend and dumb me signed up for a raffle. Now it looks like they are going to keep calling me forever. I should have followed my gut and not signed up for anything. He said I won two round trip tickets to either Las Vegas or San Diego as long as I went into one of their offices in San Jose and listened to a 90 minute lecture. Ummmm............no thanks. Anyway, now my number is out there. Dumb me......
