Total Scam. First of all, I just got a phone call from a BLOCKED number. The person called said his name is STEVE JOHNSON with a thick accent, sounds Middle-Eastern or possibly Indian Accent. He said that there are thousands of virus on my computer and that he works for MICROSOFT. I knew this must be some sort of a scam because monitoring of this sort is illegal. Besides, my phone number is not linked to any IP address. So I told him I need to go, but this dude tried to keep me on the phone by being repetitive and talking very slow. He gave me the number 646-367-9735, and I hung up on him.
Now it's obvious that it's the same guy using different names. I seriously doubt any company would have ONLY MALE with the same MIDDLE-EASTERN OR INDIAN ACCENT, but some how with ONLY WHITE AMERICAN NAMES. What are the f*cking chance of that?!??!

This time the same story of company "virtual Global Solutions" will fix your computer which have many viruses and it will fail soon.

But the number is different: 646 367 0661.
For sure the same. Indian accent. Weird story.
How do they know my home phone number?
They said that they know everything about me since they have access to all the internet connections that I make.
I know of such software but it doesn't give the phone number.

Is there a way to stop them? They might be overseas.

Calling from Microsoft--Bill Gates company from telephone number
646-367-0661. He had a strong Indian? accent--said I should know the name "Bill Gates" I asked him to spell "gates" because it was so hard to understand what he was saying. He wanted to know when I would call him back--said my computer was sending 500 error reports/a day...he wanted me to sit down at my computer right now and try to fix them He said the service was free.
I told him I couldn't call back until late today or late tomorrow.

Just got this call. Someone from "Virtual Global Solutions" called and asked me to download Teamviewer so they can "get rid of the viruses" on my computer. Total scam. I called Teamviewer (which is actually a legit company) and reported them. Not sure what else I can do?

How do we block these calls? Phone companies and government like these calls. Because of the revenue and taxes they generate. I think we the people have just lost our phones. Along with our other rights. I.e. Prayer in schools, flag presentation, right to own guns, right to work, etc.

Caller name: kevin

he was very soothe to me and went on explaining about my computer.....that it had problems....he went through the computer and within an hour or so he made my computer absolutly fine. it works faster than before. i dont know about the rest but thanx to kevin for his work.

Please be careful of this guy name Harry who calls himself to be an American, he wanted the access to my computer and show me the errors which my computer generates. When I asked him about his company, he said that he's calling from Microsoft. I sure he is a thief. I gave him the access to my computer and he then asked me to pay for the service's that he provides. He was calling from Virtual Global Solution. He was asking me to type my card info on a notepad, and when I disagreed, he started using abusive language.

Ditto all of the above. I got quickly transferred to a senior person when I asked which browser they wanted me to use. He gave Virtual Global Solutions address as 15 Church, NY, and when asked a callback number 646 367 0661. Asked me to click on a button at www.teamviewer.com to run some software which gives away control of your computer to a remote user - I assume to him, but don't know because I wasn't idiotic enough to go through with it. Claimed there was a "main server" to which all Windows computers reported their errors, and mine was reporting errors. Would not give me his IP number, nor tell me my IP number or Windows licence number so I could confirm that he had actually identified my computer as the source of the messages. Told him I was running Linux. End of conversation.

Caller name: Harry, Virtual Global Solutions

I received a call, as others have reported, saying that my computer is sending out thousands of error messages & will crash if I do not let Harry & company help me rid it of viruses. I asked: who ARE you, to whom is my computer sending error messages, how do you have access, etc. etc. Harry gave me two phone numbers, one of which is the one listed above. The 2nd: 646.367.0661. This MUST be a scam, as Harry & his assistant outrightly lied. My computer did not crash. I will report this outfit to someone, as soon as I figure out to whom to report it!

My name is Sherry and I'm a Virtual Assistant. They are using my name fraudulently. Virtual Global Solutions www.virtualglobalsolutions.com is a legit company and unfortunately I'm a victim as well. I even put a warning on my website and voicemail regarding these scammers. I get calls daily from people that are being scammed by this company. The other number that they use is 646-367-9735. A guy by the name of JACK LEE just took someone's credit card this morning and scammed money and who knows what information from a couple. It's very important that you please call your LOCAL authorities with this information so we can try and stop them, it that's possible. Thanks for posting the info on this site but filing a complaint with the authorities will really help. By all means, DO NOT go to any link or website that they give you.

I just had a call on my caller ID that said International with all 0's as the phone number. The guy insisted that he was from Microsoft International and that he was getting error codes from my computer and he needed to walk me through fixing them. I got extremely rude with him and told him I wasn't doing what he asked me to do and that I would call my internet provider and let them fix my computer. He said "they can't fix it Ma'am, I have to fix it." I said "This has scam written all over it and there's no way you are getting any information from me" I made him give me the name of his company and a call back number and then hung up on him. He then said the name of the Company was Matrix Global and the call back number was 646-367-9735. I called my internet provider and they said that I was correct in thinking it was a scam and that hanging up on him was the right thing to do. She then told me how to check the computers myself and said to just avoid the guys calls. Then I googled the phone number and found a website where he has scammed hundreds and hundreds of dollars from people doing this but uses a different company name every time. I don't know how far he was wanting me to go with this but he called the wrong house. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! These people are not legit.

It aint a SCAM guys.. you have to clean this stuff errors from your computer periodically so that your computer doesn't crash... Its true fact!!! Virtual Global Solution does give me periodic maintenance for my computer from past 5 months. i have brought the $299 plan for 2 years and on 1st of every month i get a call for diagnosing my PC. No one can hack in your bank accounts and your mails ok...

Caller name: Stanely Fox and Sean(or Shaun)

Received the call just an hour and a half ago. Never gave his name until I asked for it. He said it was Stanley Fox, that he was a Microsoft Certified Technician and that he worked for Vortex Global Solutions. He gave me the web site: vortexglobalsolutions.com I told him I was suspicious, that I wanted to check out the company. He said the same as with the other posts-"errors/malicious viruses/Trojans"and more in my computer, that Microsoft cannot fix it, but he could. I asked for a call back number; he gave 646-367-0661. I called my regular computer repairman and he said it was a "scam." I went to Microsoft.com Security and did chat and was told (and it is part of the policy) that "MICROSOFT WILL NOT MAKE UNSOLICATED PHONE CALLS TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR COMPUTER." I cannot even fathom what would have happened to my computer if I had fallen for this. First Stanley Fox called and then Shaun. Then after I said, "I do not believe you, I believe you are a scam artist, and I am going to hang up and do not call me back", they called my daughter's phone, but she knew not to answer. How can these people be stopped?
