Ditto all of the above. I got quickly transferred to a senior person when I asked which browser they wanted me to use. He gave Virtual Global Solutions address as 15 Church, NY, and when asked a callback number 646 367 0661. Asked me to click on a button at www.teamviewer.com to run some software which gives away control of your computer to a remote user - I assume to him, but don't know because I wasn't idiotic enough to go through with it. Claimed there was a "main server" to which all Windows computers reported their errors, and mine was reporting errors. Would not give me his IP number, nor tell me my IP number or Windows licence number so I could confirm that he had actually identified my computer as the source of the messages. Told him I was running Linux. End of conversation.

How do we block these calls? Phone companies and government like these calls. Because of the revenue and taxes they generate. I think we the people have just lost our phones. Along with our other rights. I.e. Prayer in schools, flag presentation, right to own guns, right to work, etc.

Please be careful of this guy name Harry who calls himself to be an American, he wanted the access to my computer and show me the errors which my computer generates. When I asked him about his company, he said that he's calling from Microsoft. I sure he is a thief. I gave him the access to my computer and he then asked me to pay for the service's that he provides. He was calling from Virtual Global Solution. He was asking me to type my card info on a notepad, and when I disagreed, he started using abusive language.

I received a call, as others have reported, saying that my computer is sending out thousands of error messages & will crash if I do not let Harry & company help me rid it of viruses. I asked: who ARE you, to whom is my computer sending error messages, how do you have access, etc. etc. Harry gave me two phone numbers, one of which is the one listed above. The 2nd: 646.367.0661. This MUST be a scam, as Harry & his assistant outrightly lied. My computer did not crash. I will report this outfit to someone, as soon as I figure out to whom to report it!

I just had a call on my caller ID that said International with all 0's as the phone number. The guy insisted that he was from Microsoft International and that he was getting error codes from my computer and he needed to walk me through fixing them. I got extremely rude with him and told him I wasn't doing what he asked me to do and that I would call my internet provider and let them fix my computer. He said "they can't fix it Ma'am, I have to fix it." I said "This has scam written all over it and there's no way you are getting any information from me" I made him give me the name of his company and a call back number and then hung up on him. He then said the name of the Company was Matrix Global and the call back number was 646-367-9735. I called my internet provider and they said that I was correct in thinking it was a scam and that hanging up on him was the right thing to do. She then told me how to check the computers myself and said to just avoid the guys calls. Then I googled the phone number and found a website where he has scammed hundreds and hundreds of dollars from people doing this but uses a different company name every time. I don't know how far he was wanting me to go with this but he called the wrong house. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! These people are not legit.

I feel so very sorry for you. Did you end up paying somewhere between $80 and $150 for him to fix it? This is an AMMYY scam and they imitate Microsoft Tech and have you go to their website, download their virus, and they clean it up for a charge. You've been scammed. Please be very careful and realize that Microsoft (and Apple for that matter) will NEVER call you about viruses, error messages, or anything of the such and they will certainly not hide behind UNAVAILABLE caller logs and shady company names. Be very careful next time! I would also suggest you never use that same computer for online banking, ordering online using credit card information, or anything of the like. They will be watching you.

I asked him how he got my contact info, and he said thru my IP address. In the the first place the service is not even in my name, and when I asked him to tell me who my service provider was if he got the info thru my IP address he couldn't tell me. If he got any info about me from an IP address other than the name of the computer he should know who my service is with. at that point I hung up on him. I knew this was a scam the minute I answered the phone and he said my computer was generating thousands of error msgs on the server, my computer has no problems and the internet security I am running is up to date and running properly. don't be fooled by these people.

CAUTION - VULGAR LANGUAGE BELOW!

Called numerous times at my home while I was away and told my grandmother that our computer was about to crash. When she asked who he was he hung up only to call back again moments later after she called and told me about it and asked her to turn our computer on (it was off) and she suggested to him that I would called and when asked for his number (showed up as UNAVAILABLE) he gave 6463679735. I called and communicated with an individual of some Asian descent (middle eastern, Indian, etc.) and he began telling me that my computer was sending error messages to their server. I asked why is my computer connected to your server? He said he wasn't with my internet provider but that they were "associates of computer operating system" - not even giving me Microsoft or Apple as a provider.

He then asked me if I had noticed that my computer was running slowly or poorly and I told him no that it performs perfectly, I never receive or send any error messages and then he asked how old my computer was and whether or not I had had it optimized. I told him no it has not required such and he suggested that was the problem.

The entire call was enormously suspicious and I think he realized he was talking to someone who knew what the f**k they were talking about and so he proceeded to tell me that I could take my computer to a technician and have it repaired. I told him to remove my number from his call list and he told me I could call anytime if I needed their assistance.

He had told me his organization was called VIRTUAL GLOBAL SOLUTIONS but virtualglobalsolutions.com is a virtual assistant to businesses, I was however able to find this website with the number listed as a contact. http://sgglobal-support.com/contact.html

I personally feel the sketchiness of this whole conversation to be that of a scam and I won't be using their shady "services."

Got a call from Shawn Marcus w/International Routing systems 646-367-9735 stating there were thousands of errors on my computer & it was about to crash. He stated Microsoft authorized him to call. I asked why I was not contact by Microsoft & was told they are too big of a company to call everyone. I told him no one has every called me for info on my computer & I was too busy to turn my computer on. I got his number & advised I would call back. He will have a long wait. He had a very strong middle eastern accent. I than called Microsoft and was advised it was a scam. Microsoft does not call you unless prompted by you.

This is identical to the other complaints I have read about. This individual has an Indian accent. He call me every night and mentions about my 1,000 computer virus' that don't exist. I am feeling harassed. He has even changed the phone number he calls on periodically.I was finally able to pin him down to the Virtual Global Solutions at the 645-367-9735 #. Many thanks for helping me figure this one out.

Caller name: Steve Johnson

Total Scam. First of all, I just got a phone call from a BLOCKED number. The person called said his name is STEVE JOHNSON with a thick accent, sounds Middle-Eastern or possibly Indian Accent. He said that there are thousands of virus on my computer and that he works for MICROSOFT. I knew this must be some sort of a scam because monitoring of this sort is illegal. Besides, my phone number is not linked to any IP address. So I told him I need to go, but this dude tried to keep me on the phone by being repetitive and talking very slow. He gave me the number 646-367-9735, and I hung up on him.
Now it's obvious that it's the same guy using different names. I seriously doubt any company would have ONLY MALE with the same MIDDLE-EASTERN OR INDIAN ACCENT, but some how with ONLY WHITE AMERICAN NAMES. What are the f*cking chance of that?!??!

This time the same story of company "virtual Global Solutions" will fix your computer which have many viruses and it will fail soon.

But the number is different: 646 367 0661.
For sure the same. Indian accent. Weird story.
How do they know my home phone number?
They said that they know everything about me since they have access to all the internet connections that I make.
I know of such software but it doesn't give the phone number.

Is there a way to stop them? They might be overseas.

Mr. Sam Gibson said he was from Virtual Global Solutions and that he was a certified Microsoft technician. He had a thick indian accent and he told me that my computer had over 1000 error messages and that in one day the screen would go black and that he needed to get on my computer to fix it. he said that if I did not let him get on my computer today and that if I waited until my screen went black that he would not be able to fix my computer at that point. He asked me if I had sent an error message recently and of course, I had. He said that my computer was interfering with the international routing system. I did not let him on my computer and I called a friend who informed me it was a scam.
