Robocall from Diane for carpet cleaning. I answered because it was a local number from a bank. When I pushed 1 someone answered and said something like Steam & Green. When I asked her to repeat the company name she hung up. Next time I will book an appointment.

The call listed as 1 WST Bank FSB, yet message is about cleaning your two rooms for only $72 ,blar blar....

How could they use a phony name to register themselves? And if they do cleaning business, why they need it to show up as a total unrelated name?

I can't imagine why they even use Their Creative minds to create such level of misleading people. What good does it do for themselves or anyone else?

I have the same experience as other commenters. They call every few days, the caller I.d. says "1 West Bank FSB." I dial 1 to get a real person, who hangs up as soon as I ask to be removed from the call list. I've filed a complaint with the FCC.

These people should be stopped ASAP. Is there not a law that protects us from these calls?? If so, why are they allowed to continue? Last time they called our cell, I had asked to stop calling and take us off their calling list since they are costing us money every time they call. This was a man that called and he , of course, apologized, I hung up. But, as predicted, they keep calling.
If anyone is out there to stop this kind of harassment please do so !!!!.

We are ALL sick of this and am hoping that perhaps AT&T can do something about it.

My cellphone has my unanswered calls going to YOUMAIL.COM where I can get a free account to answer all of my missed calls. I set up my contacts with individual greetings that uses the caller ID to figure out which greeting to use. I list everyone I know in mine and those I don't know gets the default greeting: The Number You call Is No Longer In Service, and There Is No New Number." Sounds just like the real AT&T voice you get when getting a disconnected number. I even have lengthy greetings personalized for each of my known callers. The service is free and they do have a more detailed pay service but I am only using the free service. It has worked for me over the past 5 years reducing those stupid robo calls to nothing until I manage to get on somebody else's SPAM list again.

One thing is that many PRE-PAID cell phone service companies will NOT let you transfer your incoming calls out to another answering service but the POST PAID Accounts usually do work. You send the code by dialing the number YOUMAIL.COM gives you directly on the phone and press SEND. Confirmation tones is all you get afterwards, then use another use another phone to test out everything. It took my all weekend to set mine up and it was worth the time and effort. I am sure there are other service out there that do this stuff but so far, the YOUMAIL.COM has worked well for me (and it's FREE, too!).

Good Luck!

Carpet cleaner with a caller ID of 1 West Bank. This is a legit bank but a scammer has found a way to get the people he/she calls to answer. The bank needs to get pro active to get this stopped also.

Same auto recorded message all the time:
"Hi! I'm Dianne..." and proceeds to solicit carpet cleaning. They connect you to an operator to make an appointment, they answer by saying "Steaming Green" or Steam n' Green" and if I ask to have my phone number removed, they hang up. One time I simply asked if they could repeat the business name and they hung up too.

They're calling on my cell phone. I do not answer because I have to pay for minutes. Then they leave a voice mail, which I just erase. I'm on The Do Not Call List, so I don't understand why they call.

Calls and identifies it self as a carpet cleaner. I press a number to speak to a representative and asked the name of the company and they hung up on me. I called back and got a fax machine tone. Annoying and a violation of my do not call rights.

Call(s) come in to my mobile at lunch-time.

It appeared to be a local number (Pasadena, California) so I picked it up. Auto-dial/ Auto-Telemarking call re: carpet cleaning from Samantha, the auto-bot.

I'd love to know how the rest of you are blocking calls because my mobile phone company (the dreaded Virgin Mobile) doesn't do that. I've been on the National do-not-call list for 3 months but I still get these annoying calls a few times each week. As soon as one stops, another begins.

These robo-calls hang up on the voice-mail (still a problem) because the number still shows up-- which means I have to scroll down so many of these unsolicited robo-call numbers (and miss my REAL calls). They aren't just easy-to-recognise toll-free numbers.. they use local numbers. These calls seem to come in when I'm on another call, primarily.

Sick of this.

Unsolicited calls from (626) 583-1370 to my mobile. Mid-day M-F.

Automated female voice, Samantha, with a sales pitch for carpet cleaning.

No opt-out option noted.

Reverse directory reveals the number is an AT&T landline in Pasadena, CA; associated with a division of One West Bank called Indy Mac.

Arc-Law Group and Indy Mac/ One West Bank list the phone number on their websites as 'short-sale' FAX.

Calling (626) 583-1370 you hear FAX noises (it doesn't ring)

I contacted One West Bank (rep says they are aware of the complaints and are looking into the matter), Indy Mac (automated phone system will not route the call without caller's social security number) -- yeah right--, and Arc-Law Group (denied any/ all responsibility) --big shock there--

as well as FTC and FCC's File a Complaint websites.

Harassing, unsolicited phone calls from 626.583.1370.

I was on the phone with tech support, troubleshooting a recently-purchased computer. The agent had control of my laptop. The caller i.d. showed a call was coming in.

I never clicked on to the call... It literally booted me off of my tech support call (don't really know how this is possible, but that's what happened).

Without clicking on the incoming call, I heard "...Hello- This is Samantha- Great News-You've qualified for free carpet cleaningblahblahblah"....

(Samantha is a Robo-Calling avatar -non human-)

I wiped the robo-telemarketing call away and the tech support agent was still there. I told him about receiving these annoying robo-calls so he started online searches re the number that called me, on my own computer that was in front of me. We found many online complaints.

These auto-dialling, robo-telemarketing calls are coming from a local Pasadena, CA, AT&T/ Pacific Bell landline number that belongs to West Bank FSC/ 1st West Bank (to be more precise, a division of 1West Bank, known as IndyMac)

They are offering alleged 'free' carpet cleaning ... as long as you and I have a valid credit/ debit card.

I'm on the Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call Registry because I have been inundated in the past by these invasive, intrusive robo-telemarketing calls. The FTC says that any telemarketing company ('real' human or avatar) that does not offer an OPT-OUT option is breaking the law.

I called the number back numerous times to request that they stop calling and each time it sounded as if the number was sending a FAX.

This makes some sense, as tracing the number further revealed it is a "short sale" FAX number for a company called IndyMac, a division of 1 West Bank/ West Bank FSC.

I tried contacting IndyMac to complain but their customer service autobot answering system requested a social security number and/ or mortgage number.

Please.

I then contacted 1West Bank (the rep indicated they are aware of the issue)

as well as reported this to FTC.
