Medicare showed on caller ID. My wife answered because of that. She asked for me by name. When my wife told her I was not here, the women asked if I still had back and foot pain. My wife asked where she was calling from and the woman said Orthopedic Medical in New York. My wife started asking more questions and the woman hung up. 626-205-9619.....I hope someone catches them. I called Medicare and the lady told me Medicare does not operate that way. Gave me FTC web site and phone.

The women that called spoke pretty good English with a slight accent. She already knew my name, age, address, phone number and that I was recently seen by a orthopedic and was fitted for a knee brace. She said I was entitled for another one FREE for my other leg. All I had to do was give her my doctors name and his address so she could send him a script for the free knee brace. I told her I didn't need another one and wouldn't give her my doctors name or where he was located. I asked her where she got all this information from and that I thought her call was fishy. She got annoyed and told me I was getting confused. So I said talk with my husband and she hung up. Where did she get all my information from? And how did she know that I was recently seen by a orthopedic, but not knowing his name or location?

Ask for my husband by name. I asked if I could help. He asked if my husband was still having back pain. I told him No, not since he passed away almost 4 years ago. He hung up but I still get calls about three times a week from these people

I answered the phone because it said Medicare. A woman with an accent asked if I had knee pain, I said "no" so she asked about shoulder pain and I told her I had no pain whatsoever and put the phone down.

Caller asked to speak to my wife (used her first and last name). I said she couldn't. She asked "Why not?" I told her she died five years ago. She said something I didn't understand and hung up.
Obviously, this was a fake or spam call, since Medicare would have know that my wife was deceased.

Knew some medical things about me. Sounded like they were "selling" medical devices. Scary since they had my name and phone number.
