called my 95 year old mother saying her Medicare card had expired and they needed to verify some info before they could send her a new one. She couldn't find it, because I don't think you need a card for Medicare, don't think she has one. So he asked if she could verify with her social security # instead. Luckily I caught her before she gave it to him. I got on the phone and a man with an Indian accent said her Medicare benefits had stopped! Liar! Gave him an earful and told him not to call again. How do these people live with themselves??
