Said he was with MasterCard, Visa, Discover rate reduction desk. Would not give me any specific info. When I tried to ask him to put us on his Do Not Call List, he hung up on me. Very sick and tired of getting these calls from recordings and rude people who hang up on you! We are on the national Do Not Call List, but it's not doing any good it seems.

SO TIRED OF THESE CALLS - REALLY IRRITATING WHEN EXPECTING A CALL FROM A DOCTOR AND HAVE SOMEONE SERIOUSLY ILL AT HOME. HAVE TRIED EVERY WAY TO GET REMOVED - NOTHING WORKS. SURELY THERE IS SOME WAY TO STOP THIS HARASSMENT - WE'RE SENIORS AND IT ISN'T THAT EASY TO ALWAYS GET TO THE PHONE - I'VE ALREADY FALLEN AND BROKEN TWO BONES AND CHIPPED THREE.
One of numerous calls I get from illegal telemktrs. even tho' all my #'s are on donotcall list. If you are not, go to:
if you ARE on DNC list go here:
If you don't recognize the number DON'T ANSWER. IF you do hang up immediately. "The only problem with common sense is that it's not very common." Mark Twain
Caller name: don't now
These rude callers continue to call despite being on the Do Not Call list and filing complaints about their callers. I have a new solution to my problem. I am buying the loudest whistle Wal-Mart has and next time they call, I am blowing it full steam into the phone. Let's see if they get the message.
I have a incurable illness and spend lots of time lying down. These calls are very annoying. And yes, we are on the national & state registries for "do not call" list. Please, please someone help us do something. This is a great disturbance to someone who is very, very sick and doesn't need this kind of harrassment. I get 3 to 4 calls per day. SOMEONE HELP US POOR SOULS FROM THIS HARRASSMENT.

I just received a call from this number, (616) 980-2063, and because I didn't answer the call, I immediately got online to checkout the number, and got this complaint page.. Like all the other individuals, who have signed up with the federal governments "DO NOT CALL" list, this seem to be not working properly, because I still get calls like this 2 or 3 times a day.. So what good is having the FTC, making such a program for the consumer to sign up for, when companies or individuals like this properly has a list of everyone that has signed up for DNC.. To me, this make no sense to put your name on a list, for companies and individuals to be able to get the list and get around the law, and still call you...

Don't bother with whistles and loud remarks and hitting keys while they speal. The calls are robo-calls and there is no one there to hear it or record it. Don't press 1 or any other digit because they can then claim you accepted their call and it isn't a violation of the DNC rules. DO REPORT THE CALL TO DNC as the more reports, the more the government might actually do something about them.

Times have changed, we need to educate the elderly. These scam artists target them. Most people will ignore said calls, but it is really frustrated having to see them call over and over again. My phone number has turned into a message service. I do not even look at the phone when it flashes. Forgot to add my number to DNC list, but just reading this it appears it will not do me much good.

This was a FIRST, I had no idea who this was, but now reading these comments, its best to not pick it up. Normally if the caller is unknown, we make a habit to NOT pick it up, after awhile they just "go away." I feel as if the caller knows us, has business with us, they will leave a message for us to return the call. These jerks didn't leave a message.
I don't these calls ANYMORE
Sadly, with the government shutdown, the Do No Call complaints page is not working for the time being. I just got a call while I was in the bathroom, but when I finally got to the phone, they hung up. I tried calling them to see who they were, but never got a person on the other end.
Caller name: Bankcard Services (or similar)
This is the same recorded female voice talking about last chance to lower interest rates for credit cards through the US Government Financial Stimulus program. (Apparently just using a new phone number.) Just press "1" to sign up!! No opt-out option given.
Caller name: Card Scammers again
Of course the DNC for these folks doesn't work. They know they are violating the law, so they don't care if they call you.
Answer & hang up right away so it seems like there isn't a valid number at your end is the only solution I've come up with. Don't even let it roll to your voicemail. Answering, or voicemail just confirms a valid phone is at the other end of the line & they'll keep calling.
Caller ID was Bank Card Services when I picked up the phne the kid asked do you have a credit card debt of over 2000. When I asked for name he said Clark Kent and I have come to save you. When I said take this number off your list he said shut-up, shut-up, and then when I started to laugh he said what are you going to do about it. Have just registered my number with do not call registry - https://www.donotcall.gov/

I receive calls from the 616 number 2-3 times a week. Usually I get a recording , but today i pressed one to talk to someone. A live person answered and I told her I was not interested and to stop calling me. My number is on the do not call registry!
the calls are coming from a number that is supposed to be an incoming only like, the scamsters have connected a device to make it outgoing only so that they can call people all they wany anf it never costs them anything. the company they bpught the phone number from only makes money on incoming calls that is recieved on the line. so call that number back (yes tpu will get a recording) press 9 twice to have the menu repeated then press three and just set the phone down. it will record like a 10 min message. this will cost the scam company lots of money, especially if we all do this at least once a day
After repeated calls where we've 'pressed 8 for cancelling future calls' we keep getting them! Very frustrating.
NEVER ANSWER A CALL FROM A STRANGE AREA CODE.RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS #.TODAY. GOOLED #.NEVER HEAR OF THESE PEOPLE ADDED THIS#TO MY CALL BLOCK LIST AS I HAVE FOR MANY OTHER NUMBERS.s***w THE THUGS!
Caller name: Bank Card Services
Said he was with my credit card company and my account had problems. when i asked him to prove it he hung up on me. When I called the number back I got a recording saying that my number would be removed from there data base and they hung up on me.
Caller name: unknown Scammer
Robo call recorded 21 August 2013 ("Lower your rate...second and final notice..." )
Caller ID: "V082115140900182155" (derived from date and time so no two people see the same CID)
Also called recently from: (616) 980-2030 | (616) 613-2228 | (616) 613-2199 | (215) 383-3414 | (415) 333-9999
I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final notice..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number.
"<female voice>This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

So it has started again. I'm on the DoNotCall list (it's hard to say that without snickering, isn't it?), but it seems that every few months we get waves of these calls that start randomly, last several weeks and then stop abruptly. Apparently, this one is a recycled version of the "Card Services" scam??
As a rule I don't answer any call I don't recognize, but since the telemarketers and I are 'old friends', occasionally I will answer and "talk" to one of the idiots at the other end and waste their time just for amusement.
When I sense that they have caught on that I'm not really going to buy anything, before they can hang up, I blow a whistle, air horn or some other obnoxiously loud noise into the phone. Very-high frequency noises seem to work best at annoying them.
Repeating this a few times in a row seems to get my number placed in a "time out". I have also played recordings of the 3-tone "out of service" message several calls in a row to get temporarily removed, but it seems you have to catch at least 3 calls in a row to make that one work.

Message: second and final notice to reduce credit card rates...Got hundreds of these calls from a different number over the last couple of years. I wish they would remove my number from all their lists.
Caller name: TN Removal Sys
They won't say anything when the phone is answered, thus, am unable to ask to be taken off their calling list. According to several complaints above though, it's a site indicating that there is a problem with your credit card. I've recently paid all mine off, so there are no legitimate problems. According to others they also do not indicate which card they are calling in reference to. Another person indicated that it says it's your 2nd and final call to reduce your credit card interest rate and payments. So, I've reported it at: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

I continue to receive calls from this #. When I press #1 to speak with somoene, they are rude. Today I pressed #1 and spoke with Frank - I asked him what company he was calling from - he said CMA. I told him he is now the 5th person that I have told to take me off their calling list - he was rude and said there is no way I can be taken off their calling list.
Caller name: TN Removal Systems
We also have had dozens of "last calls" from these people and when I tell them to take us off their list, they hang up or are rude and then hang up. We have gold plated credit and the lowest credit card rate avaiable in the country so it is clearly a scam.
Caller name: TN Removal
Says to reduce credit card int rate. I reply," why? do you think I am going to give my CC info to a stranger that calls me?" and I hang up.
It does not matter if you are on the do not call list, they call and call. I turn my ringer off and my caller id is on my TV, so I do not answer 90% of the calls. Only numbers I know
The reason they don't obey the do not call law is as I found out each state is responsible to hold them accountable. If they don't follow up on the complaints nothing is done the Feds won't do anything more. I had written both my worthless Congressman and Senator they both told me the same thing the state has to go after the people breaking the law. They both said if it were to come up during a session they would voice the concern. Why don't they bring it up????? Just a bunch of overpaid jerks that only know how to get nothing done. Also why would the state want to go after people that they are collecting taxes from?

Has called many times! I have answered once and they hung up. Gotten several messages on answering machine which are started before the answering machine kicks in and all I hear in reduce your rates/ last chance etc. No mention of company or credit card name.

I'm already on the Do Not Call List but still get solicitation calls. If I do not recognize the number, I no longer answer the phone. It's time Do Not Call actually does something to stop these unwanted phone calls!
Got a call from this number asking about my computer, they also know when i am on it. i'm contacting my server supplier to warn them of what might be HACKERS Tapping into networks. Also the police will be informed as well.

I am considering using a small air-horn like the ones some people have at sporting events. If I'm bored, and no one else is home, it might be fun.
Caller name: TN REMOVAL SYS
The solution is simple. (1) Never pick up a call from a name or place you are not familiar with. (2) Turn off your answering machine when you are home. (3) Never return a call to a name or place you are not familiar with.
