A Miss Robinson called today (4-4-14) and left a voice mail saying that I needed to call her back with respect to an "urgent matter that must be addressed immediately"". She told me to call her back at 1-800-695-7444 ext. 1077532. No other information except the threat of legal action.

These people call several times a day trying to collect a debt, threatening to move forward with their "next step" with their attorney's. I'm an unemployed disabled student so they can do whatever it is they want, you can't get blood from a rock. I am not answering their calls as I think it is just a scare tactic some collection Co's in Ohio have been using. Not sure how they are getting away with this but I'm definitely going to look into it. There are laws against this type of debt collections harassment. If anyone has any advise or suggestions pls let me know.

This entity began calling some time ago looking to contact my daughter. I have repeatedly informed them to stop calling, as I recently lost my wife, and am not responsible for my 32 year old daughter's financial responsibilities.
Additionally, my daughter has informed them that she will deal with them after the holidays, the first without my wife, her mother, which has been extraordinarily difficult. Still they call several times a day.
I no longer answer, but the continual calls are annoying to say the least.
I want them stopped, and if legal action is warranted, would entertain that option.

I was getting many calls as well. I didn't know who the unknown callers were but the one message from one call with this number of many unknown number calls had a message about attorneys. I knew exactly what bill it could be because it was the only one I was behind on. So I called the number on the back of my card NOT the one that called me. Although the representative I spoke with did say the unknown number was them. It's an inside collection angency and legally if no communication or payment has been made within a set time they can and will turn you to collections. The thing is they don't like doing that. They have to take a cut in the amount they get to turn it to someone else however they will resort to it if it comes down to it. I was a few months behind but as long as I kept my promise to pay by a set date I was returned to normal standing and out of their internal collections. So being in the internal collections doesn't effect your credit the same was as them handing it over to an outside agency and not only that but once you get caught up you are no longer in the inside collection agency you return to good standing with them. You just need to call and explain situation and work out a payment arrangement. But call the number on the BACK of YOUR CARD to be sure you are not talking to a scammer.

They called my cell asking for my lawyer to contact them for whatever reason? The voice-mail was hard to understand and the lady was extremely aggressive. They asked for a Kennedy?? I don't know anyone with that name and that's not my name either? They are just annoying and calling me at work. I don't have time for petty scams.

A man left a message saying he was Specialist Snyder and if I'm being represented by a lawyer to let them know. He also said that if I don't call him back by 7pm that he will take legal action that will effect me immediately! Sounds like a threat to me!

Doesn't leave a message and says alliance ? Must not be that important like the rest of the comments I have been in management for collections 30 years..record all the calls you can and you will have case that easy!! Contact the ftc.gov and they will look into it they research scams and illegal practices. If a collections company threatens you with legal they have to do it most of the time it's a ploy to have you call in. Keep track and present your case lawyers love it!!

Only identified himself as "Mr Wade"
Asking that" I call him back back before the end of today .. If I didn't I otherwise didn't (care) about "this matter "
What matter ? The rude man didn't even say who he was with , what this was regarding why would I call him back.
Received a very similar call last week from a "Mr . Young "
Told me ony voicemail either myself or "my attorney" must call him back no later than 5 pm on December 24tg or he would have to seek further "matters "
For what?? Rude harassing
I don't the Mr Young I didn't owe anyone "anything "
I have one credit card and pay it in full every month
He insisted I was this "person" that I'm not I have had my phone number for 3 months .
I'm sorry but they need to remove my number from their "list" becasue I am not who they seem to be attempting to contact but they don't believe me and will not quit calling:/:/

This bank is responsible for credit cards for a number of smaller stores like The Tog Shop, New York and Co. I have spoken to them because people were trying to open credit cards using my information and my daughter's. They were actually VERY helpful in taking care of the fraudulant cards that were attempted in our names.
